Wisps of a Hypnotic Dance / Encore - Shauntal's Birthday: Rewards for the Empress & Noble
Wisps of a Hypnotic Dance
  • “So, how did it go?” The smug tone of Will’s voice could be heard over Lucian’s Rotom speaker.
  • Lucian had excused himself from his Study to answer his Rotom phone, as he had previously been sitting beside Shauntal while she was working, reading one of his books. He wasn’t quite sure why, of all people to call him, Will did this afternoon, but he indulged him with a response.
  • “I have no idea what you’re talking about, Will,” Lucian uttered, dismissing the indicated teasing from his brother.
  • “Oh, you know very well what I’m talking about. You left with that novelist from Unova last night, did you not? I do wonder how things played out between the two of you. I haven’t seen you genuinely smile like that in years.”
  • A slight brow was raised on Lucian’s behalf, despite how it was just a verbal call between the psychic pair. “Since when did you care about my personal life?”
  • A soft chuckle could be heard from the younger psychic, “Since a wager was placed on the table between the two of you. Though, the gentleman who made the bet, to begin with is currently indisposed at the moment.”
  • In the background, Lucian could faintly hear Grimsley’s voice as he uttered a profound ‘* you’ to Will. His off comment caused Will to shift his Rotom so he could turn to the hungover gambler.
  • “No need to give an empty invitation, Grimsley. I do believe that karma is giving you a much-deserved visit.” he chuckled softly, “Only an * would accept a challenge for drinking against Lance, especially when they are half-sauced already.”
  • Will shifted the phone so he could return to his call with his brother, “So..about you and Shauntal?”
  • Lucian just remained silent as he tried to stifle a soft laugh of his own, “I don’t think you have time to hear about anything. It seems like you have your hands full already.”
  • “Oh, Grimsley will be fine. He just needs to take better care of himself. I’ll probably be at his side for the remainder of the day. So I’m sure he’ll be fine for a few minutes.”
  • A sigh left Lucian’s lips, though kept a smile private as he was thankful that this wasn’t a video call.
  • “We had a pleasant evening together. I won’t go into detail for the sake of her privacy but I believe it’s safe to say that Shautanl is quite inspired. She is currently in my Study working on her Rotom laptop. Shauntal was even awake before I was this morning. She’s been quite the busy writer. I believe my offer to help with her book has worked wonders.``
  • “Ooho! Bravo, Lucian. That must have been quite the evening then,” Will teased.
  • The younger psychic hummed for a moment before speaking once more as his curiosity caught the better of him,” You know, I’ve been wondering, why did you approach her at the party last night? Usually, you stay within your own small circle of Elites during those sorts of gatherings. Not to say you shouldn’t expand who you spend your time with during Elite parties. I just found your timing to approach her rather unusual.” A soft chuckle could be heard from the other end.
  • “I admit, the two of you looked quite adorable together. She certainly seemed to be having fun. I dare say one could say the two of you hit it off rather well.”
  • Lucian thought for a moment, considering his words carefully before answering Will.
  • “I’ve thought about approaching her sooner but I didn’t have probable cause to interrupt her notes at other functions. She was either mingling with her own crowd or her attention was required elsewhere. Last night she seemed. . . distant. Having been in that position many times myself, I merely inquired Grimsley as to how to approach the young lady. Speaking of which, I would like to have a word with him later..once he’s sober of course.“
  • Will raised a brow for a second, “What for?”
  • “There were some things that Shauntal mentioned last night that had me worried. I just want to make sure that they aren’t rumors. She deserves that much at least.”
  • Lucian thought for a moment, looking over his shoulder to the window in the hallway he stood in as he watched Shauntal move her fingers quickly over her keyboard for her laptop like a Spinarak. Weaving a story that could possibly be the best sequel for a series she’s written in a while. Shauntal looked like she was quite drawn into the story she was writing. The smile that played over her lips as she wove together the pieces of her notes and the conversations they had together infected him in a way that made him mimic her smile.
  • He personally knew how much passion she had for her art and would take the experiences they shared the night before to heart. Lucian fondly recalled how she greeted him when he returned to the room after handing in her old hotel key and having a word with Iris and Caitlin.
  • Pulling her into his arms, he made sure that she wasn’t in too much pain from their previous activities after bathing. Once he ensured that she was feeling well, he inquired as to what she wished to do for the rest of the evening. It surprised him when she mentioned that she wanted to continue if he was up for it. He could see how flustered and anxious she was to even voice her request.
  • As her muse, he couldn’t decline such an honest request. So, he made sure that they had ground rules down for both of them and that they knew what things they weren’t comfortable with. This would help stave off any confusion or lack of desire in the future.
  • A few things she mentioned that she wanted to try surprised him but he suggested that her other fantasies be planned for special dates so they won’t feel rushed. She was going to be spending a week with him so it was best that they spread out their time together. Lucian smiled a little more, somewhat glad that Will wasn’t there to catch a glimpse of the special evening he had with the lovely author from his own thoughts.
  • The way she melted into the pillows and breathed out his name when he planted the briefest kiss along her skin gave him more joy at that moment than discovering a new book. It was a shame that she left his side when he woke up around six that morning. He was hoping to lay with her in his arms, but he understood that she was dedicated to her work.
  • “She’s a talented novelist with an honest passion for her stories and I have no issue with helping her if she requires assistance. It does trouble me that her writer's block lasted six months though. I can’t help but wonder if there was some sort of tension between her and those she works with in Unova or some other factor that stalled her creative flow.”
  • Will gave a side glance towards Grimsley, “I can think of a few reasons she might’ve been struggling. At any rate, I do appreciate the update. Give my best to Shauntal. I’ll inform Grimsley that you wish to speak with him later. Oh, and before I go..you may want to get flowers for your esteemed guest.”
  • Lucian turned away from the window, brows raised, “Dare I ask why?”
  • “Grimsley was muttering something last night about forgetting to get something for her birthday today. Originally, I was just going to dismiss it as him going on with nonsense but I double-checked with Caitlin and it is indeed her birthday. Has she mentioned anything about it to you?”
  • “No, I don’t think so. She never said anything to me about it. I’ll see what I can do. Best of luck with things on your end. I’m sure you’ll need it.”
  • With that, Lucian ended his call as he returned back inside the Study. Walking around the various chairs and tables, he made his way to Shauntal’s table. Noting how firm her shoulders stood, he moved behind her and gently touched her.
  • He didn’t need to read her thoughts to figure out why she was so stiff. Looking over her shoulder, he couldn’t help but glance at her work as her thoughts unfolded upon the document she worked on.
  • ‘With an outstretched hand, the elegant Empress brought her beloved Noble into her arms. Not only had he passed her test ten times over; but he protected her honor against wolves that would’ve stripped her of her pride. Though she wished to voice her gratitude, a simple smile from him told her that she would have her chance to do so in private.
  • He seemed to know the rules of the court far better than anyone else who dared to challenge the Empress with her hand. A soft kiss upon his forehead was the reward he earned in the eyes of the public. Before she could part from him, the Empress whispered but a few choice words, offering an invitation to reconvene in her chambers at the end of the ceremony. A proper reward would be waiting for him, should he desire it.
  • Their eyes locked for a moment, a secret smile that promised more than a brief kiss between lovers beyond her satin curtains.’
  • Lucian smirked a little as he read along with her writing, his hands started to massage her shoulders as she typed. Shauntal’s shoulders slumped and her head leaned forward followed by a soft moan.
  • “Mmh…Lucian.~” She leans into his touch, tilting her head to the side as she closes her eyes, “That actually feels really good.” she utters softly.
  • He chuckled at her comment, kissing the top of her head as he caught a brief power high that he felt from the night before as he heard her utter his name in her moan, “I’m glad it’s helping, my lady. You looked a little tense. Any progress with your story?”
  • “Yeah..I’ve gotten about ten or so chapters finished today.”
  • “Oh? That’s impressive. How many more do you think your story will have?”
  • Shauntal leaned forward a little, pushing her laptop out of the way so he could move his hands further down her back.
  • “Mhmmm…two or three more chapters until I’m finished. I’m okay with taking a break for a moment though.” She buried her head between her arms as she spoke.
  • Lucian leaned closer to her, pressing a soft kiss against her neck, “I’m happy to hear that you’ve made a great deal of progress. I believe the birthday girl deserves a little break.”
  • “Birthday girl. . .?” Shauntal paused for a moment as she reached over for her laptop to check the date and there it was, her date of birth showing up on the notifications she dismissed that morning when she turned on her laptop.
  • “Damn, I really forgot my own birthday.”
  • She could feel that his hands were carefully moving along her back, massaging the tense muscles along her spine. Every gentle movement against her muscles felt like a release of pressure that was making her practically purr like a Delcatty under his touch.
  • Shauntal made sure that she was up before dawn, despite wanting to remain in Lucian’s arms that morning, to get to work. Now that it was a few hours into mid-day, she realized that she was working so hard to meet her deadline that she forgot about everything else. Her body was still aching from the night before, but she needed to make sure her work got done. She wasn’t going to take this break away from Unova for granted.
  • However, now that she was allowing herself a break from her writing, she wanted nothing more than to allow Lucian to soothe the aches her body had been screaming over since she left his side. It felt nice to be pampered, even if it was just a massage.
  • “So, Shauntal, what would you like to do on your special day? I don’t think you’ve had the pleasure of taking a tour here in the Sinnoh region, have you?” he inquired as he continued to run his hands along her back and around her shoulders to help her relax.
  • “No, I haven’t but I kind of don’t really want to go anywhere today. I don’t have the energy to be social,” she admitted softly.
  • Lucian could relate, in a way. Associating with large crowds of people was rather taxing on his mind. He only attended crowded parties because it was required of him as a member of the Elite Four in Sinnoh.
  • “That’s not a problem. We can stay in for the evening. Though I may need to step out for a few minutes to collect a few things.”
  • Shauntal turned her head, facing him as she sat up, “Wait…you’re not going to force me to be social and go out?”
  • Lucian placed a hand at his side, tilting his head at her as he was rather confused at her question, “Heaven's no. If you’re not feeling up to going out then I’m not going to drag you by the hand to go out. I understand everyone has a different sort of social battery and for those of us who find comfort in solitude, large crowds can be draining. I respect that. Where in the world did you get the notion that I would force you?”
  • She looked back at the table, feeling a few knots form in the pit of her stomach. There had been more than one occasion where either Marshal or Grimsley tried to encourage her to step out of her office so she could join them in their festivities. Shauntal always felt so exhausted that not even Caitlin’s abilities could wake her when she returned to her room.
  • So, to hear that it was fine for her to just stay in on her birthday felt like a relief. She did wish she had something more comfortable to wear instead of her usual attire though.
  • She rubbed her head a little, feeling a slight headache rise from the back of her head. Well, she did forget to actually eat today. She was stalling to answer him but she had to say something. Opening her lips to speak, she gave a drawn-out sigh.
  • “It’s a long story. I haven't always been given a choice, so let’s just leave it at that.”
  • Shauntal watched as he crossed his arms, regarding her for a moment before holding his hand out to her.
  • “Would you mind coming with me for a moment?”
  • She was skeptical as to what he had in mind but she accepted his hand as he pulled her out of her seat. He led her out of his study and headed towards his office. There were several neat piles of folders and the like, mostly for financial information he needed to keep on file.
  • He released her hand for a moment as he retrieved a cloth measuring tape from a drawer that had office supplies.
  • “Rotom, would you mind writing down a few numbers for me? Have them written in a text to Cynthia.”
  • ‘[RIGHT AWAY! NOW COMPOSING TEXT TO CYNTHIA!]
  • A dark blush claimed her cheeks, “Wh-why are you sending numbers to Cynthia? Isn’t she busy?”
  • “Not all the time. I’m sure she wouldn’t have a problem lending a hand. You’ll be needing something more comfortable to wear while you are here, yes? She has a way of finding feminine clothing rather easily. Now, this may be a little personal and I do apologize.”
  • He first took measurements around her hips, pelvic area, thighs, arms, shoulders, and around her bust. After calling out the numbers, he took hold of his Rotom to complete the message himself before sending it off to the Champion.
  • Lucian didn’t have to wait long as he received a message back from her, earning a slight smile curve on his lips. Seems like she was more than eager to help him get some clothing for Shauntal during her stay in Sinnoh.
  • “Perfect. We may have ourselves a brief visitor later but it shouldn’t be too long. Now, you really should get something to eat. I imagine you haven’t had anything all day, have you?”
  • Shauntal looked to the side, blushing out of embarrassment, “I may have forgotten. I was a bit caught up in my work. I’ll be fine though.”
  • She was trying hard to not have the numbers he uttered from the measurements bother her, among other things that lingered in her mind. Shauntal was hardly a slender woman. Even in Unova, her curves often made it difficult for her to wear a variety of clothing.
  • That was one of the many reasons why she normally wore a dress with tights underneath. It was always adjustable and managed to cover her more than most clothing that was usually offered to women there.
  • She hugged her side, keeping her glassed gaze averted from his. He didn’t need to be psychic to know how self-conscious she was about her figure. Her body language spoke volumes to him as he observed her shying away from him, hiding her waist under her arm.
  • Though he gave a sigh, Lucian smiled at her. Placing the measuring tape aside, he pulled her into his arms, a hand resting on her lower back while the other cupped her cheek.
  • “As much as I admire your dedication to finishing your book, which I am quite eager to read I might add, it’s important that you take care of yourself too. You have all this week with me, my dear. No need to rush everything within a day.”
  • He places a soft kiss against her lips for a brief second, “I apologize if mentioning your measurements made you upset. For the record, I don’t think there is anything wrong with how you look. I would have thought our time last night gave you an indication of how much I admire how you look, but I am willing to do what I can to ensure you have confidence in yourself once you leave. Now, I would like for you to take the rest of the day off and focus on yourself.”
  • “B-but my deadline is clo-”
  • He placed a finger over her lips, “Ah-ah..no objections. As your muse, I insist. You should celebrate your birthday. You can return to your writing tomorrow. I don’t believe your writing will be going anywhere.”
  • Her shoulders slumped as she reluctantly accepted his terms, “If you say so.”
  • Seeing her so upset was quite the opposite of what he wanted to accomplish.
  • “Come, let’s get something to eat and we can discuss what we will be doing from there.”
  • She gave him a nod, though her vision seemed distant to him. He wasn’t sure how to feel about the way she pushed back. He knew that her work was important to her but this felt like it was more than just work-related.
  • “Shauntal, what’s the matter? Talk to me. I’d rather not read your thoughts if I can help it.”
  • She took a deep breath, looking up at him, “Do you want the long or short version?”
  • He hummed in thought for a moment, “Hm..considering how I find myself content having you in my arms like this and I enjoy your lovely voice, the long version if you please. Not to mention it will help me better understand what’s on your mind.”
  • Lucian leans his forehead against her own as he spoke softly to her, “Talk to me.”
  • “I feel like my career and life are coming to an end..”
  • “That..seems a bit dramatic. You may need to explain yourself, sweetheart.”
  • “You probably won’t believe me if I told you,” she muttered, slowly placing her hands on his shoulders.
  • “Shauntal, do you know who you’re talking to? I’m a psychic that has the ability to read the thoughts of others and their emotions. A rare gift and curse, some might say. So anything you may have in mind probably won’t shock me.”
  • She adjusted her glasses as she gave him a skeptical look. Though she didn’t completely believe him, she would try to give him the benefit of the doubt.
  • Taking a deep breath, she started to explain.
  • “Before I can tell you what I’m talking about, I may need to bore you with a little bit of personal history.”
  • He shook his head gently, “I would hardly call any knowledge about your history boring, my lady. “
  • His compliment caused the corner of her lips to curve a little, “If you say so. Um . . so when I was little, I lost both of my parents. I didn’t really know my mother, since she passed away during my birth and my father passed away due to being sick when I was around seven. He was a miner and he caught something while he was down there. I’m not even sure what it was. At the time, I was too young to completely understand the situation.”
  • She shifted in his arms, feeling a little uncomfortable as she told him her story. Noting her moving around, he removed an arm from her side and pulled out one of his office chairs before drawing her close. Lucian had her seated on his lap, straddling over his legs as she blushed from ear to ear.
  • “Ehhnn?! Is..this an appropriate way to sit with you? I-I can still stand.” she uttered quickly.
  • “Now why would I allow a lady to stand if she is clearly looking uncomfortable?”
  • Shauntal opened her mouth to comment but quickly stopped herself as she remembered who she was speaking with. Lucian truly was, in every sense of the word, a proper gentleman. He even made sure to place his hands on her thighs to ease any tension she was feeling from whatever she had to tell him.
  • She leaned her forehead against his, taking comfort in him with her. With her hands still on his shoulders, she moved her fingers mindlessly, toying with the ends of his hair.
  • “A-anyway, I ended up moving with my grandparents with a Litwick I found about a month before my father passed. We bonded in no time, staying up late reading and telling stories. But, when I was grieving the loss of my father, my mind wasn’t in a great headspace. I was filled with so many negative emotions. Pain, depression, loss, and heartache. I just couldn’t take it.
  • None of my other family members really came to check up on me either. I felt trapped in my own grief. So, one evening, after one of my many crying spells. . .I picked up my Lickwick and asked her if she could just end it. I leaned into her and before I knew it, I found myself drifting off.
  • Just when I thought that it was the end, I heard a voice in my head. I don’t recall everything it said, but it had something to do with keeping me company while I wrote stories. It’s what my father would’ve wanted. Stories record events, places, and emotions of people along with their Pokemon. It’s how they live on, or at least that’s what I remember my father saying.
  • I’m not sure how, but I found myself waking up again with my Litwick crying in my hand. I reassured her that I was okay before the voice in my head told me that I should try to write something that would help me get through my grieving process. It. . .was hard to do but I managed it.”
  • She took her glasses off, brushing her eyes from the faint tears. Even though it had been several years ago, Shauntal still felt the raw emotion of that day. Lucian waited patiently for her to continue, giving her thighs a loving squeeze. He was certainly careful to listen to her story now, considering how her mind was capable of going into such a dark place. Though he was aware that Ghost Type Trainers usually came from tragic histories with their own encounters with death, he confessed that this one was likely the darkest one he’s heard of in a while.
  • Shauntal placed her glasses back on, continuing, “Since then, I’ve had monologues and written stories with the entity that brought me back. However, within the past six months, I haven’t heard a word from them and whenever I look at a piece of paper or document on my computer, my mind completely blanks out. That thing pulled me back from the dead so..what’s to say I won’t be dragged back in?”
  • A faint smile crept over her lips, “I admit, I haven’t had an inspirational thought since before last night and I don’t quite understand why. After last night, I found myself with so many ideas to write about.”
  • Her story certainly piqued his curiosity. Lucian studied her for a moment. He could personally confirm that there wasn’t anything or anyone in the room except for the two of them. Though that didn’t mean that whatever was following Shauntal didn’t keep itself to the shadows.
  • “Well, I’m glad I can be an inspiration for you. I am quite concerned for your well-being, however. You aren’t having any dark thoughts now, are you?”
  • She slowly shook her head, “No. I’m fine. To be perfectly honest, I feel much happier here with you than I have in months. I’m a little reluctant to go back to Unova. though.”
  • He gave a soft laugh, “I suppose that’s fair. We can always keep in contact whenever you’d like though. I’m always a text or call away. Now, do you feel any different within the last few months? I want to make sure you’re safe from any potential danger.”
  • Once more, she shook her head, “Not really. I feel the same way as I always do. Thank you for listening to me, Lucian..and not dismissing what I said as crazy talk. I..feel relieved that I was able to get that off my chest. I haven’t told anyone about that before. It does worry me a little though.”
  • He shifted a little, letting out a sigh as he moved his hands lower on her legs. With the immediate danger of her life dealing with, the weight of her sitting on his lap was starting to affect him as he thought of a way to ease the mind of her concerns.
  • “Hm, I could look through your mind for you but I think I would much rather try to when you’re sleeping. You’ll be less likely to be in harm’s way if you aren’t actively using your mind. Would you be okay with that?”
  • Shauntal gave him a nod, “I’m okay with it. I trust you.”
  • “I’m glad to hear it. Though, I’m afraid I must admit to a rather..embarrassing issue of my own.”
  • He took hold of her hips and pulled her closer to him, slowly rolling his own against her. At the feel of his movements, Shauntal could feel how firm his arousal was under his clothing. She had to bite her bottom lip as she felt him graze over her own need beneath her own garments.
  • “I suppose it’s my own undoing for having such a beautiful woman on my lap, but I couldn’t allow you to stand on your own while you looked so troubled. You have no obligation to do anything for me, my lady. It would probably be a good idea if you told me what you would prefer to do.”
  • “Well, what are my options?”
  • “Hm, let’s see. I suppose your options are the following; either tell me you want to stop here and I’ll respect your wishes to keep my distance..or I could provide us both a much-needed distraction.”
  • She bit her bottom lip, looking down at him as she shifted once more against him. As she did so, a stifled groan could be heard from his lips. Just hearing him under her made her giggle a little.
  • It was strange how one moment she would be concerned for her livelihood and life as a writer to be amused by his mannerisms. There was just something about Lucian that made her feel at ease in his arms. She was able to easily open up to him with topics she hadn’t even discussed with people she had known for years.
  • After speaking with her about what was truly bothering her, Shauntal felt as if there was a weight lifted off of her chest. She was relieved to have someone else know what was going on with her.
  • Not only was he a wonderful listener, but he was concerned for her. It touched her heart to know that he cared about her mental state. They haven’t officially known each other for very long, despite having seen one another at multiple parties and official gatherings in the past. However, Shauntal felt as if she had known him for years for how calm and collected he was when approaching her.
  • Even now, she was tempted to take the latter of the two options he offered. Now that she thought about it, she was working her way to writing a steamy scene when he rejoined her in the Study. Her body had grown stiff while she shifted her thighs in place as she wrote.
  • In the back of her mind, she imagined the scene she would write would be replaced with her and Lucian. So, when he placed his hands on her to massage her tense shoulders, Shauntal could barely contain herself as she had moaned his name earlier. Perhaps now was a good time to ask for a little favor.
  • A faint blush dusted her cheeks while she leaned into him to close the gap between them in a soft kiss, the rims of their glasses tapping upon contact. Their kiss lasted for all of ten seconds before she pulled back.
  • Licking her lips, she tilted her head a little at him, “Can I make a choice as a birthday request?”
  • “You most certainly can. It is your special day, after all.”
  • “Well, I was wondering..since it is my birthday, if we could do something? Ah..how to word it? Umm..you can read my thoughts if you want for this. I can’t seem to think of the proper words to ask.”
  • Shauntal was still bashful about being vocal about her intimate experiences, which Lucian found rather cute. Despite having written so many intimate scenes in the past, she became a blushing mess when it came to verbalizing what she wanted in a person. Perhaps once he helped her regain her confidence, she would be more confident in saying what she wanted.
  • Lucian leaned his forehead against her own as he concentrated for a moment to listen in on her thoughts.
  • Shauntal’s fingers tangled within her skirt as she thought about him bending her over his desk while his hands roamed over her curves as he breathed against her neck.
  • Lucian chuckled softly as he ran his hands over her hips, “Are you sure that’s what you want? We haven’t done that one quite yet. Is someone thinking about acting out yet another scene?”
  • She gave him a nod, embarrassed that he even had to ask.
  • “Ah, well…I suppose I do have a duty as your muse, now don’t I?” he teased. “Anything, in particular, you need help writing for that scene?”
  • She bit her bottom lip, “Just the experience, really. We can do something else if you don’t want to!”
  • “I don’t mind. I do wonder though…” His voice trailed as a hand moved down her thigh, then slowly slid up between her legs as he felt how damp her tights and garments were underneath her skirt.
  • He traced his fingers along her sensitive parts through the damp fabric, letting out a soft sigh, and smiling to himself. “I see I’m not the only one who’s excited. You weren’t this damp earlier when I was measuring you.”
  • “I can’t help it when you move me this close onto your lap.”
  • “A fair reasoning. Why don’t we do something about removing your damp clothing?”
  • Before they removed any clothing, she felt him carefully remove her glasses and place them on top of a cabinet beside him, followed by his own glasses.
  • “If my Empress would like to rise for a moment, I would like to take pleasure in aiding in her comfort this evening.”
  • Shauntal slipped off of his lap as he followed her, but instead of standing, he went down to one knee. His hands carefully moved up her legs, stopping at her hips so he could hook his fingers inside her tights and garments. Slowly, he pulled them down past her waist. Lucian knew how few clothes she brought with her, so it wouldn’t have been fair if he tore what she wore. Better to keep it in one piece than to tear it into pieces.
  • She lifted her legs, placing her hands on the desk behind her, as he pulled the tights and undergarments off of her. He places his hands back on her legs as he planted soft kisses up her knees and thighs.
  • “Lucian. . .?” She was so confused as to why he was giving her so many kisses. Not that she minded them, but a reason why would be nice.
  • A soft hum could be heard under her skirt, “I recall mentioning how I would ensure you were confident in yourself by the time you left, yes? I’m a man of my word, Shauntal. Now, would my Empress like to spread her legs for me? I do believe you promised a suitable reward?~”
  • The way he smirked up at her made her melt inside. Her breath was caught in her chest as she realized that he must have been reading her work when he was behind her earlier.
  • “Y-you were reading over my shoulder, weren’t you?”
  • “Mhmnn…guilty as charged. I do wonder what your dashing Noble accomplished to be given such an offer. ‘Protected her honor against wolves’ was it..?” he chuckled softly, “I don’t usually like spoilers for books, but I’d like to make an exception, for the sake of your scene, of course.”
  • As he spoke, he traced soft circles against her legs, watching as she blushed a faint pink across her adorable round cheeks.
  • She bit her bottom lip, trying to keep her sighs and moans quiet. “Um..r-right. He fought off five men that had kidnapped her and her pet Linoone in earlier chapters. They were former rebels from the Civil War that didn’t agree with the truce and wanted to teach her a lesson for thinking she knew what was best for them.”
  • Lucian thought for a moment as a hand slowly went further up her thighs while he listened to her explanation. “Were her guards even paying attention? I would imagine it would be their duty to make sure she’s safe.”
  • Her eyes fluttered closed as she felt two digits slip between her moist folds, causing her to cling to the desk behind her.
  • “Ahaaa…Th-they…were poisoned by toxic darts. The only reason why her beloved Noble knew of her kidnapping was that he saw one of the rebels carrying her, unconscious.” She parted her legs a little more for him as she swallowed a dry breath. “H-he was heroic and managed to save her before too much damage was done. She owes him her life.”
  • Lucian watched as she writhed in his hand, bemused by the soft noises she made while she tried to explain a part of the plot to him.
  • “I dare say so. Funny how she would offer herself as a prize to one man while five tried to steal that attention, undeservingly. Out of curiosity, what did your lovely Empress have in mind as a reward for her savior, hm?”
  • As he spoke, his fingers gave slow strokes as she rolled her hips into his hand. She was panting harder, gripping at the desk with need while he teased and edged her through his interrogation about her book.
  • “Sh-she was going to offer herself to him. Anything he wanted, he would be granted with no questions asked.” Shauntal peeked an eye open, looking down to a grinning Lucian between her legs. “What..does my savior wish from me?”
  • Keeping his hand where it was, he stood in front of her, holding her lower back close to him. He enjoyed hearing her voice quiver as he undid the nervous knots inside of her with just a few strokes of his hand. Smirking a little to himself, he used the hand that was on her lower back to lift her onto the desk. Once she was settled between his legs, spread out on the table, he kissed her neck, purring into her ear.
  • “What do I wish from you? Oh, I want so much, your highness. I want your smiles, all your days – the good and bad, to claim to your heart and right to your hand. Most of all? I want to hear my name upon your lips when you feel the most powerful bliss that all would let know who has claimed you. Is it greedy of me to make such a request?”
  • She quickly shook her head, unable to keep still for much longer. “N-no..ohh...I - I can’t..” Shauntal leaned her forehead against his chest, her hands gripping his shirt tightly. His words were so hypnotic that she lost herself in the sound of his voice.
  • His movements were growing faster as she let out a high-pitched moan while he held her close to his chest. Thankfully, her moan was muffled against him but that certainly didn’t stop Lucian from letting her ride out her orgasm.
  • When she was finally down from her high, he slowly pulled his hand back only to bring his soaked fingers to his lips as she leaned her head back. He was just a blur in front of her but she could tell by the way he hummed in delight that he was smirking at her. That certainly didn’t help how embarrassed she felt for coming undone on his desk.
  • “Her Highness would be delighted to know that she makes for quite the appetizer,” he teased. “Are you prepared to continue, or do you need a moment?”
  • She winced, shifting on the table, “I need a moment if you don’t mind. Ah..could I have my glasses please?”
  • “Of course.” He reached over and carefully handed Shauntal her glasses.
  • Once she had them adjusted, she gave him a pouty look. “You know, you’re really into that character. I can hardly tell if it’s actually you or him..”
  • He tilted his head at her, “Why not both?”
  • At that comment, her cheeks turned beet red, “O-Ooh..so all this time you -” She glanced to the side of the room. Shauntal needed a second to process what he said earlier if it was truly him speaking for her character and him.
  • “I didn’t think you were that interested…” she admitted softly.
  • “You would be surprised how many look your way when you’re buried in your notes.” He brushed a hand across her cheek as he tucked a few stray locks behind her ear. “Much like your Noble, I’d like to ensure that such a delightful treasure is protected and happy. I know what it’s like to suffer from social issues alone. It would be a shame to see such a talented woman, such as yourself, trapped in her own thoughts when there are those who are willing to listen.”
  • Shauntal couldn’t help but smile as he spoke about how he felt about her, “That’s the sweetest thing anyone has said to me. Thank you.”
  • “I’m just being honest. When I was younger, I always kept my distance from others. Not just because I usually found myself lost between shelves in my family’s library, but because my psychic abilities made many uncomfortable. So, I directed most of my thoughts and time toward the written word. At least then I would be capable of keeping my concentration through the following pages. It worked, for the most part. I still had to be tutored on how to properly control myself though.
  • There were some days that I didn’t feel like I belonged and wanted to reach out in crowds. Unfortunately, not many take kindly to psychics that can probe into your thoughts if untrained. Some things just happen so quickly that you hear things that aren’t physically said and it’s gotten me into a world of trouble before.
  • I did train with Will before he left to find his niche in the Kanto region though. As his older brother, I could only give him advice from what little I knew from my own experiences and let him discover how to handle the rest on his own. I believe it’s safe to say that he’s done well for himself these last few years..despite the bit of trouble he caused.”
  • Lucian laughed softly, placing a hand on his hip, “My apologies. I didn’t mean to info dump my life story on your lap while you were catching your breath.”
  • She shook her head, “It’s okay. I like hearing you talk, Lucian. Learning about the life of a psychic certainly sounds interesting.”
  • He snorted, giving her a small smile, “Oh, it’s not that interesting, but thank you for indulging me.”
  • “You’re welcome. Though, knowing all that, I’m still curious why you’d be interested in me, my work, and Elite rank aside.”
  • “Your work and rank aside? Hm..I suppose there was something about you that reminded me a bit about myself. You looked quite alone sitting at that table last night. I couldn’t, with a good conscience, let you be divided from the party. Even those of us who prefer to work in solitary deserve friends, or something more, in their lives.”
  • “Am I just a friend or something more to you?”
  • Lucian took hold of her left hand, keeping eye contact with her as he brushed his lips against the back of her hand. “I believe you are something a little more, my dear.”
  • “You are something more to me too..”
  • Shauntal pulled his hand up closer to her so she could draw him into a needy kiss. His words were making her excited to celebrate more of her special day with him. It was a strange way for one to confess their love to another, but then again, they weren’t just ordinary people.
  • Her heart was skipping several miles per hour as she laced her fingers between his. Lips parted far; she nudged her tongue over his. Accepting her challenge, he pushed his own against hers, giving her a brief taste of herself as he moaned into her lips.
  • It was embarrassing to admit, but he felt more aroused than he was earlier when she sat on his lap. Lucian had promised that he would go at her pace though. So, he would be patient with her until she was ready to move on. After what seemed like hours within a few minutes, she broke off their kiss, panting heavily.
  • “I think I’m ready for more.”
  • He gave her hand a reassuring squeeze, “Are you sure? We don’t have to continue on if you aren’t.”
  • Shauntal gave him a nod, “I’m sure. Could you help me down?”
  • His hands held onto her hips and lifted her up for a moment, setting her down so she could stand on her own. Shauntal reached for the edge of her skirt to lift her dress up, only to have his hand stop her.
  • “It’s best you keep that on, dear. I wouldn’t want you to get cold.”
  • “O-oh..okay.”
  • Eager to continue where they left off, she turns around and places her hands on the desk, legs parted as she looks down towards the table.
  • “If my savior wishes for me to breathe his name in a moment of bliss, he may be required to earn it.”
  • “Another trial? Hm, I don’t think this one will pose too much of a challenge.”
  • She turns her head a little to look over her shoulder as she could hear him shift a few articles of clothing off, followed by the metallic sound of a zipper being undone.
  • “Oh, what makes you think it won’t be such a challenge?”
  • Within seconds, she felt his hand lift her skirt, followed by the probing of him slipping between her moist folds. Even though this wasn’t the first time they were together, she still needed a moment to adjust as a low moan left her.
  • The hand that lifted her skirt slowly moved up and down her back before he held onto her waist.
  • “Let’s just say that I know a few of your soft spots, your highness.”
  • She hated to admit it, but he was right. Even now, as he set a slow pace, she could feel chills go down her spine. Shauntal could hear him breathing against his neck as he planted kisses along her nape. Just hearing his voice so close while his hands roamed up her sides, curving upward into her dress top was nearly making her come undone. This was exactly what she wanted, and it felt just as addictive as she thought it would be.
  • “I-I suppose you do know a thing or two..” she muttered softly.
  • With every gentle squeeze of his hand along her frame, she struggled to keep in character. She leaned her head back, feeling him picking up his pace inside her. Lips parted as she moaned from the way he was making her feel alive. If she had any doubts beforehand, they were quickly banished at that moment.
  • “Ah…Lu..cian…”
  • He chuckled softly in her ear, “Mh..I do quite enjoy hearing my name coming from your lips. I think we can do better than that though..don’t you think?”
  • Shauntal gripped the table tightly, feeling him lean into her back while he held her close. Knowing now that his words gave a double meaning within their scene, she was having trouble keeping herself from being too vocal. Thankfully, Lucian didn’t mind too much.
  • The corners of her lips curved for a moment, thinking of a way that would still make her sound in character and taunt him to make their scene together interesting.
  • “If you desire more than a whisper from me, a gentle hand isn’t going to be sufficient. S-surely you can do better than this?”
  • “Ohh? I had no intention of being rough with you but if that’s something you want…?”
  • “I won’t beg for it but if you make the offer, I will consider if what you give me is acceptable.”
  • There was silence behind her for a moment as he held her hips, stopping his movement. Shauntal prayed that she didn't upset him with her request. All she wanted was a love tap or two but Arceus, it was so embarrassing to even admit that she wanted his hands on her. One hand moved down to cup a lower cheek as he leaned his own head against her shoulder.
  • “You didn’t upset me, Shauntal. I just find the request unusual. Though, if this is something you want, I can certainly give it to you. Just let me know if I’m too hard on you.”
  • She gave him a nod as he pulled his hand back, giving her rear a firm smack. He did so again twice more, finally earning a loud moan from her as she broke under his hand. In the back of her mind, she swore at how good it felt for him to touch her like that and how she wished he would hold her from the waist more often.
  • Shauntal felt him slip out of her, only to have him turn her around. She saw that he wore nothing more than the black dress shirt he normally wore with his red suit. Giving her a gentle smile, he took hold of her hand and guided her back to his office chair, thankful that it didn’t have any arms on the side to block her from getting comfortable.
  • He made sure she was comfortable, settling back on top of him, before giving her a nudge to move above him. Lucian made sure to keep his hands on her waist as he watched her grind into him. Since she kept her glasses on, she could see the delightful expressions he had when she rolled her hips so slowly that his grip on her hips became tighter for a moment and then back to a quicker pace. She kept her hands on his shoulders, panting when she felt that his movements were going along with her own.
  • It wasn’t long before he shifted a hand to her lower back, pushing her curvaceous frame against his own, whispering into her ear, “Don’t hold back on me, sweetheart. I’d love to hear that adorable voice of yours ring.”
  • Within a few seconds of each other, they finished, uttering each other’s names in bliss. Once they hit their high, Shauntal leaned her forehead against his, laughing softly.
  • “You know, if this is how my birthday is going to start off, I’m not disappointed. This is the best birthday ever.”
  • Lucian chuckled at her comment, pulling her into a brief kiss. “I’m glad I can provide a happy memory for you.”
  • As they took a moment to enjoy their afterglow, a faint ring could be heard from the front of his home. Lucian ignored it for a few seconds before his Rotom phone went off.
  • He sighed, leaning to the side of his chair to wave his phone to come closer so he could answer it. Seeing that the caller was Cynthia, he reached over to retrieve his glasses before answering.
  • “Hello, Cynthia. Did you need something?”
  • In the call, he could see that she stood outside his door with her Garchomp holding a few bags, offering a toothy grin.
  • “Yeah, would you mind letting us inside? We have a few things for Shauntal.”
  • “I’ll be with you in a mome–” before he could finish his sentence, he saw Will appear a few steps behind Cynthia, holding onto Grimsley’s yellow scarf.
  • “Oh, are you speaking to my brother? Mind if I slide in here for a moment?” Will asked, though never giving her a chance to answer as he gave Lucian a ridiculous grin while waving at the screen, “Heeey there! Hope you don’t mind us crashing the party for a bit. Someone needs to have a few words with the birthday girl.”
  • Lucian rubbed the bridge of his nose. “I suppose so. I’ll be there in a moment, and I will let Shauntal know she has company.”
  • With that, he ended the call. Shauntal quickly got off of his lap, blushing from ear to ear. “Ah – I wasn’t expecting so many people to be over so soon. I’ll just collect my things and head over to the washroom for a moment.”
  • Lucian gave her a nod as he started getting dressed himself.
