Trust Me
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
    ‘Please don’t do this baby.’
  • Yoongi’s voice was heard pleading all over the mansion. Anyone who could hear him could hear the heartbreak in his voice as well as the desperation. His words came out as a desperate plea as he held on to Ji-Su’s wrist.
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
              ‘Yoongi let go of me.’
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
(screamed back as she yanked her arm free of his grasp while she gave him a disgusted look. She could not believe that her two-year boyfriend was crying in front of her.)‘Stop crying, you look pathetic.’
  • She spat at him as she crossed her arms across her chest. There was no hint of any regret or compassion on her face and Yoongi couldn’t understand how things had turned this way.
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
‘I don’t care how I look. Baby please, please I’m begging you. Don’t make rash decisions.’
  • He pleaded again. His voice was on the verge of breaking but Ji-Su couldn’t care any less.
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
(pleaded once more)‘I know you’re probably scared because it’s unexpected but please, we can figure this out together, like we always do.’
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
(Retorted back) ‘Why are you making such a big deal out of this? It’s nothing but a bunch of cells. It doesn’t even have a form yet.’
  • Yoongi was taken aback by her statement, much more than he wanted to admit. Hearing her say those words hurt him much more than he was letting on.
  • 【his breath hitching, forcing his voice to break a bit. Just the thought of her speaking that way made his heart ache】
  • his breath hitching, forcing his voice to break a bit. Just the thought of her speaking that way made his heart ache.
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
‘Yoongi I don’t want this… this thing. It will ruin my life.’
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
(running a hand through her long blonde-dyed hair)‘It’s my body Yoongi. I do with it as I please.’
  • She said with another shrug which infuriated Yoongi.
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
‘It is your body but you’re sharing it with another person. That’s life inside of you and you just want to kill it off.’
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
    (argued)‘I’m that baby’s father. Shouldn’t I get a say?’
  • He asked but she just scoffed.
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
‘Not really Yoongi. You won’t be the one carrying this damned thing for nine months.’
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
(said a little angrily.)‘Don’t talk about it like that. It’s not that baby’s fault that we messed up – that we had unprotected sex.’
  • Ji-Su took a step back, not expecting that reaction. Yoongi had always been sweet and patient with her. He never raised his voice, not even once, not even when he was really mad and had reason to yell.
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
She scoffed, getting annoyed by this conversation.
  • She scoffed, getting annoyed by this conversation.
  • She had thought that she was simply going to tell him she's pregnant with his child and get money to carry out the abortion. She had not expected this reaction from Yoongi. She thought he wouldn't care any less since he never mentioned anything about wanting kids and his priority was his company.
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
‘For that baby it is and for me as well. I don’t want you to kill off our child. Why are you doing this to me? To us?’
  • Yoongi asked perplexed as he tried to take another step forward but she moved away from his touch.
  • Yoongi’s eyes went wide. That is exactly what he imagined… or rather, what he wanted.
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
(eyes went wide. That is exactly what he imagined… or rather, what he wanted)
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
‘Isn’t that what you wanted as well? Do you even love me Ji-Su?’
  • Yoongi questioned, his eyes never leaving hers. He was suddenly doubting everything about their relationship - everything except one thing - he did not want that baby to die.
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
(She sighed as she looked at him.)“……”
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
    ‘No, Yoongi I don’t.’
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
(replied coldly) ‘No, Yoongi I don’t.’
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
‘Then what the * where you doing with me?’
  • ……
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
‘Then what the * where you doing with me?’
  • Yoongi asked and Ji-Su let out a bitter laugh.
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
(could hardly believe that he was still not understanding, especially considering he was pretty damned smart……)
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
‘Are you still not getting it Yoongi? I don’t love you; I never did and never will. Look, you’re hot and fun to be around. The sex is also great but you’re also one of Seoul’s most famous businessman and one of the richest too.’
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
‘So you were with me just for the money and the fun times?’
  • Yoongi asked, wanting to clarify what he just heard. He knew Ji-Su was no saint but he never expected this. Ji-Su rolled her eyes and nodded.‘
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
‘Fine. If money is what you want, I’ll give you money.’
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
‘What are you talking about Yoongi?’
  • (She asked, almost intrigued but also confused. She took a step forward, wanting to hear more.)
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
    ‘Yoongi… be clear.’
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
“you care about money. Well, I care about that baby so we’ll work things out. A business deal.”
  • Yoongi proposed and Ji-Su nodded, allowing him to continue.
  • ‘You’re asking me to sacrifice nine months Yoongi.’
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
‘You’re asking me to sacrifice nine months Yoongi.’
  • She replied but Yoongi could tell she was intrigued by the idea.
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
‘You’d pay? Any amount I want?’
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
(She asked. Yoongi sighed, his heart breaking more with every minute)
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
‘Yes, Ji-Su. Have I ever backed down from my promises?’
  • He asked her. Ji-Su looked away for a moment, feeling somewhat ashamed but recovered quickly.
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
explain:‘You won’t have anything to do with me or the baby after it’s born. I’ll be the sole guardian and you won’t have to see us again.’
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
‘Fine then but I want reassurance.’
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
(her voice cold and unwavering.)‘I’ll talk to my lawyer. We’ll come up with a contract and I’ll have it brought to you.’
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
    (nodded)“……”
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
‘Good. Ji-Su please, I’m begging you to take care of yourself. Anything happens to that baby, the deal will be off.’
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
‘Now hold on, I need something to begin with. Let’s call it a deposit.’
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
‘If that is what you want. I’ll transfer five million won by tomorrow morning. I'll transfer money with each month as well and I will pay for any appointments or treatments you'll need.’
  • Yoongi
    Yoongi
( replied, equally as cold, trying to hide his hurt) ‘If that is what you want. I’ll transfer five million won by tomorrow morning. I'll transfer money with each month as well and I will pay for any appointments or treatments you'll need.’
  • Ji-Su
    Ji-Su
(looked content as she grabbed her bag and jacket and walked out of the door, slamming it behind her)
  • Yoongi stared at the door, feeling dejected, betrayed and broken. He had loved Ji-Su and gave her everything he could – his love, his devotion, his loyalty, his very heart and soul.
  • He felt crushed at the sudden weight. Not only did they break up but he had realized that his whole relationship was a lie, an illusion. He hated himself for falling for her tricks and lies and in that moment, it felt like his heart which was once full of love was turning into ice.
  • ————【On another side of Seoul】————
  • Choi Mun-Hee was walking towards her shared apartment with her boyfriend – Dong Woo. She was tired, after a long day at the child care centre, working with a group of seven two-year-olds, but she was still happy. She was actually humming along to a melody in her head, a melody which was familiar but she wasn’t quite sure what it was.
  • She reached her apartment, holding the bag of food she had bought along the way.
  • 【Apartment】
  • She took out her key and turned it. She slipped out of her shoes and walked inside. Struggling with the food in her hands, she managed to take off her jacket and put it on the hanger.
  • Mun-Hee
    Mun-Hee
    ‘Jagi… I’m…’
  • She began but she paused, hearing weird noises coming from inside. Curiosity got the best of her as she was drawn to the sounds, unable to stop herself. Her heart started to beat faster.
  •  She wasn't the smartest girl but she wasn't stupid either. Her mind was screaming at her to stop, to turn around, to not see but her feet kept walking, listening only to her heart. She could hear moans coming from the bedroom and her heart was beating fast against her chest. The door wasn’t even closed as she walked into the room.
  • There, right in the bed that she shared with Dong-Woo was her boyfriend, naked, with beads of sweat on his forehead, lost in thrusting in the girl under him. The sounds of skin slapping and ecstatic moans were too much for her to bear as she dropped the food and yelped, her hand flying to her mouth as she tried to keep herself from crying out loud.
  • Their movement stopped abruptly as Dong-Woo pulled out of the girl. He scrambled for the sheet to cover their naked bodies.
  • 【‘Babe I...I can explain.’ 】
  • Mun-Hee
    Mun-Hee
He said, going into panic but Mun-Hee shook her head.
  • Mun-Hee
    Mun-Hee
(He said, going into panic but Mun-Hee shook her head)
  • Mun-Hee
    Mun-Hee
‘Save it. There’s nothing to explain you dirty, filthy *.’
  • She screamed at him as she turned around to leave.
  • 【  ‘Babe… babe wait.’ 】
  • Dong-Woo yelled after her as he jumped out of bed, the sheet around him almost causing him to fall face first into the ground. She was already in the corridor when he managed to grab her by the wrist and turned her around but she pulled her arm away.
  • Mun-Hee
    Mun-Hee
    ‘Don’t call me that.’
  • Mun-Hee
    Mun-Hee
(She snapped at him, had tears threatening to spill but she refused to let them fall.) ‘I trusted you. I loved you and you betrayed me.  You were *ing her in our own bed.’
  • She said. Even though she tried to hide it, her voice was betraying her.
  • 【‘Mun-Hee I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.’ 】He said but she shook her head
  • disgusted by him. Disgusted by her own self for not seeing the signs that were now ringing clear in her mind - the giggles while secretly texting, the cancelled the dates, the weird perfume scent he carried, the late night outs - everything began to fall into place.
  • Mun-Hee
    Mun-Hee
‘No, you’re just sorry you got caught.’
  • Mun-Hee
    Mun-Hee
replies: ‘How long? How long have you been making a fool out of me?’ She asked but he stayed quiet. ‘ANSWER ME.’
  • She screamed at him as she punched at his chest. Her scream echoed in the apartment, almost causing him to flinch. Never in the years they were together did he ever hear her scream. He didn’t think she was even capable of raising her voice.
  • 【 ‘Eight months.’】He replied, sounding sullen.
  • Mun-Hee let out a pained gasp as she clutched to her stomach.
  • 【‘Baby please, forgive me. I still love you.’ 】
  • He said, trying to reach for her hand again but she shook her head.
  • Mun-Hee
    Mun-Hee
‘No. Go to hell. We are done. We’re through, over.’
  • Mun-Hee
    Mun-Hee
(as she sniffed while she picked up her bag)‘I’ll come back for my clothes tomorrow morning. Please don’t be here while I do so. I don’t want to ever see your face again.’
  • Mun-Hee
    Mun-Hee
(said as she rushed to the door, barefoot……)
  • ——————【Location:Garden】——————
  • She ran out and kept on running, even though she heard Dong-Woo call out her name from the door. She didn’t stop as she kept on running. As if the skies were sharing her sadness, they decided to open up and start pouring. She didn’t care that her clothes and hair were getting all wet. She didn’t even care that she was growing cold and tired. She didn't care that her feet were hurting.
  • She arrived at the park and fell down to her knees. She sobbed, hard and loud. She buried her face in her hands as her emotions got heightened. She felt betrayed and used – ridiculed and worthless. She was in pain and all she could do about it was cry her heart out.
  • There was no one about or so she thought. In the distance, far away from her was Yoongi. He saw her, on her knees, her face buried in his hands. Guess I am not the only one whose heart got broken tonight – Yoongi thought to himself as he saw her sob. He continued walking, his own tears mixing with the raindrops while he had his hands inside the pockets of his coat. He walked past her and saw the thin material of her clothes and her bare feet. She must have left in a hurry - Yoongi thought.
  •           It was clear she hadn’t even noticed him. Something in Yoongi’s heart moved him. Maybe in seeing her broken state – maybe he saw himself in her as with a sigh, he took off his coat and placed it on her. He placed his rather large umbrella over her, to stop her from getting even wetter. The poor girl was so distraught that she barely noticed, never looking up which suited Yoongi just fine. He didn’t care about seeing her face or hearing her problems.
  • Yoongi kept on walking while Mun-Hee stayed there and cried.
  • Both of them had had their hearts shattered that night and they wondered if they would ever be able to trust anyone again.
