Side by Side, Eye to Eye
  • Ugh!
  • I bet you’re wondering how I’m right here writing my anger out. You’ve guessed it, it happened at the filming!
  • On the morning of today, Friday, I woke up at 6:15am, thanks to my mom and Sabrina.
  • “Wake up, Ashley!” Sabrina said in excitement.
  • “Why?” I asked while I tried getting back to sleep.
  • And then 15 minutes later, Mom came in and yelled, “Ashley! Come on, time to get up, the cast and crew are departing from the airport!”
  • “Airport?”
  • “Eek!!!”
  • And then the squeals kicked in.
  • “Wonderful.” I said with sarcasm.
  • I got up and dressed and had breakfast. At a quarter to 9, it was time to go.
  • “Come on, girls!” Mom called.
  • I’ve waited for this day to come ever since March 7th, when we first arrived here. And my sister was in all different feelings.
  • “This will be fun!” Sabrina squealed out.
  • “Now, I’ll drop off one of you, just so things are fair, and that you’ll tell each other about the day, okay?”
  • “Yes, Mom!” We replied in unison.
  • “I think I’ll let Ashley go first, since she’s older.”
  • “That’s nice of you Sabrina.”
  • “Thank you, Mom”
  • I heard a notification on Mom’s phone; it was a text.
  • “Okay, I’ve got the text, the cast and crew are almost to the studios, let’s get in the car, come on!”
  • We sprang into the car and drove to Pinewood Studios.
  • I’m just too excited! I thought, I feel proud now that I’m going. So proud!
  • We arrived at Pinewood Studios; I saw a bunch of people getting in. I got out of the car.
  • “Have fun, sweetie,” Mom said as kissed my head, “We’ll be back to pick you up later today, okay?”
  • “See you!”
  • “Tell us all about it tonight!”
  • “I will, Sabrina, bye!”
  • So far, everything started well. I was really happy I came there. As I walked inside that house…it…was…heavenly! I thought I heard angel voices.
  • “This is so cool!” I said to myself.
  • I walked to different rooms…I got back to the main hall…and…there he was. The nice and sweet looking boy.
  • “He’s so…stylish!” I said to myself while admiring him.
  • “Hey,” said a girl’s voice. “I’m Kaylie Lebras, what’s yours?”
  • I kind of jumped.
  • But then I said, “Oh…my name is Ashley. Nice to meet you Kaylie!”
  • “That boy over there,” Kaylie said, “That’s Ronan Ó Foghladh. He plays the lead role of Marcellus.”
  • “Oh…that’s cool!” I said in a disappointed way.
  • When I mean by that, I mean he didn’t look like my type.
  • “How old is he?”
  • “13, I’m 12, How old are you?”
  • “I’m 14. I was born on February 18, 1994.”
  • “Wow! Ronan was born in 1994 too! But on June 27. And February was 2 months ago!”
  • “I know!”
  • And then, another girl came in.
  • “And the ‘popular girl’ here is Melanie Fitzpatrick.”
  • “I’m not really popular, Kaylie, I’m just well-known to a lot of people.”
  • “Sorry, Melanie.”
  • “It’s okay. Please to meet you–”
  • “Ashley.”
  • “Nice to meet you, Ashley.”
  • “Where are you from?” Kaylie asked.
  • “I’m from Covina, California.”
  • “Really?”
  • “Yup, but we now live in Galway, Ireland. It’s really beautiful there.”
  • “What?” Melanie said in shock, “Ronan lives there too!”
  • That got me thinking, Sabrina does know a boy from Galway. But she never told me his name.
  • I got to end right here. But I’ll come right back.
