Saranghae (사 랑 해) / Chapter THREE
Saranghae (사 랑 해)
  • Hi guys! Thank you for reading! This chapter was a little late and not at all because of me being a procrastinator. Please Enjoy~

  • "Oh my gosh! Girl, you look hot! But I don't know if it's the one, so try on the others." Sun-Hi said with her finger on her chin as I walk out, looking at me like I'm some sort of doll. At this moment, I wouldn't be surprised if she did. She tells me to twirl and walk up and down the small hallway. After what seems like 20 minutes, which probably is only 10, she tells me to try on the next one.
  • I try on the next one. It's a red jumpsuit with a low neckline. I really like it, but it seems more like something I would wear at a club or even a professional meeting. I hope that Sun-Hi will think the same as me as I go out of the closet.
  • She didn't. She made me do the same thing as the first outfit and looked close to choosing it. But she told me to try on the others and come back out. I obediently listened to whatever she said, afraid that even the slightest hesitation would evoke some kind of monster.
  • After I tried on several outfits, equaling to about 30, she stopped me. She went into the closet and shoveled through the clothes, trying to find the perfect one as she said.
  • "I found it! This is exactly what you need! Quickly try this on and show me so we can leave." She hung the outfit she picked on the door and went back outside. I turned to look at the outfit, expecting some kind of majestic masterpiece of an outfit. But no, once again. The outfit was the two-piece set and the first outfit I had tried on.
  • I suppress the urge to swing open the door and clock Sun-Hi in the face. I quickly throw the outfit on, making sure to be careful to not rip it. I take some deep breaths to calm the angry little beast inside my mind and open the door.
  • "Yes! This is the one. Now we would have taken a much shorter time in the store if you had put this outfit on first!" My eye twitches as I imagine myself slapping some sense into Sun-Hi. If she was paying attention, she would have known that this was the first outfit that I had tried on. Sun-Hi is about to make me have to go to anger management classes if she continues to act like this.
  • I look at the time. 4:00. I look at Sun-Hi with an evil glint in my eyes, imagining all the ways to strangle a person. We spent 5 hours in this store to get just one thing?! I chuckle darkly to prevent my dark thoughts from becoming a reality.
  • Since I'm quite antisocial, most people would mistake me for being a pushover. But what they don't know is that I am a demon when I'm *ed. I could be happy one second and murderous the next. But fortunately, nobody has experienced my wrath.
  • As we pay for the clothes, I notice that Sun-Hi is also carrying a store bag. She must have gotten something while I was changing. Only then did I realize that she was speaking. I honestly didn't care to know what she was saying and agreed to whatever she said.
  • She paused and looked at me strangely. Then a creepy grin overtook her face, her promising that I wouldn't regret it. Seeing Sun-Hi, I suddenly regret agreeing to something I wasn't even listening to. It's just the look in her eyes that scared me. It's not like she would do anything illegal right? Pfft- who am I kidding? If she actually tried to do something, which I don't think she will, I could easily take her down.
  • I stayed silent the whole drive back to the dorm rooms, wondering how the concert would be. When we arrive at our room, I go straight to my bed, ignoring Sun-Hi's pouting face when I didn't say goodnight. I needed to get a good night's rest to be good for my job tomorrow.

  • I didn't sleep a wink last night.
  • I kept tossing and turning like I had seven coffees. I eventually gave up and started reading some fanfictions. I was never really into fanfics, but one day when I was reading a web novel, an ad popped up for some reverse harem book. I was excited to read it because I had always thought the idea of dating multiple guys at once to be different and cool. I knew that would probably never happen in real life, so I decided to live out my fantasies in books.
  • To summarize it, I was too busy reading fanfics that I didn't realize that I was late for my job at the cafe. I threw on my favorite shirt and prayed that the city buses would be on time, so i wouldn't be late for work.
  • I sped through the doors of the cafe happy that I wasn't late. Even though I knew the owner of the cafe wouldn't fire me, I feel bad for making any sort of inconvenience to him. Eun Chaewok was the name of the owner, and I helped him when he was looking for a replacement cashier. I was originally planning to quit after a while, but I became attached.
  • I rush into the employee section of the cafe and throw on my apron, getting ready to serve customers. My first customer was an old lady who was having trouble reading the menu. Me being the kind (sort of) person I am, helped read everything on the menu. Luckily, no one else was in line because it took a while.
  • The customers changed every minute and the day was leaving. I was silently cheering for my shift to be over, when another customer walked in. I looked at the time and smiled. Only a few more minutes until Hyewon comes. Haewon was the second cashier who took the night shift and I resigned my post to.
  • That smile quickly left my face as I realized who the last customer was. Minju. Of all of the shops and cafes in the area, he just had to come to this one. It was obvious that he was still trying to get close to me, but why? Why is he so hell bent on talking to me. That's the one thing I can't figure out.
  • Hello! Welcome to Sweet Treat! What would you like today?" I say evoking my inner cheery person. I needed to have all the positivity I could get with him. Just thinking about what he did to me in my past life makes my anger surge and my mouth twitch. I knew that I couldn't say or do anything that would tarnish the cafe's reputation, so I can just pretend he doesn't exist.
  • "How about a donut and dinner with you?" Minju says, obviously trying hard to get me to like him. My lip twitched again at the lame pick-up line and I reformed my smile.
  • "I'm sorry but aren't you dating Ae Ri? I don't know about you, but I'm not interested in being anybody's side chick. So no thank you, let me get your donut." I immediately shut him down and go and get his donut. I get the nastiest one in my opinion, remembering that he didn't specify the type. Just seeing his face makes me want to claw my hair out.
  • But I don't want to deny the world my face, so I'll leave it alone. I give Minju his order and cheer internally when I see Hyewon. My savior! My bemused grin quickly turns into a full-on smile as I take my apron off and head to the door.
  • I completely ignore the presence of Minju and hug Hyewon. I thank her and skip to the door. I go out into the fresh, cool air and smile. Before I can enjoy freedom, a large body collides with mine.
  • I'm immediately greeted with a cold blast of liquid on my face and shirt. I lick my lips and figure out what spilled on me. Banana milk. Wow. Betrayed by my favorite drink.
  • "Why banana milk? Just why? I thought we were friends, but you ruined my shirt." I mutter to myself as I stand up. The guy looks at me, shocked then looks down at where the murder of the banana milk was.
  • "Oh no! The banana milk! Jungkook's going to kill me!" I frown a little at the name mystery guy gives and at the fact that he seems familiar.. I thought Jungkook was a very uncommon name, but I guess not. Then I frown even more when I realize that mystery guy was more concerned about the drink and not me.
  • Just as I'm about to say something, mystery guy sinks to the ground. He gets on his knees and starts rubbing his hands together.
  • "I'm so sorry, please forgive me! I wasn't looking where I was going, and I accidentally bumped into you. I can pay for your dry cleaning and any injuries that you may have. I'm so so so sorry!"
  • The mystery guy continues to plead and my anger leaves my body. I was surprised because my temper usually doesn't take that little to stop. I have to admit that he looked kind of funny, bowing to me like that. I couldn't see his face because it was covered in a mask, but I did see his eyes.
  • I can imagine him being a very adorable person, and I was tempted to just tease him. But unfortunately, I saw how panicked he looked and decided to leave him alone. After all it was an accident.
  • I laughed it off and told him that it was fine. He looked at me for a second, dazed and quickly got up. The skin around his eyes turned pink as he struggled to pick up the things that he dropped. He bowed to me multiple times, constantly thanking me for being understanding.
  • I laughed again and walked away, feeling that this may not be the last time that we meet. I get on the bus and take the journey to the dorms. A similar thing had happened a year ago. I was walking from work and some dude almost ran me over with a bike. He had fallen off trying to avoid me and he did the same thing mystery guy did and got on his knees to apologize.
  • I was going to gripe at him for not paying attention, but I saw a cracked phone a few inches away. I realized that it was the biker's and decided that a cracked phone was punishment enough.
  • I walked into the dorm room to find a dark room and a sleeping roommate. Only then do I realize that I have an essay due Monday. I hear my inner scholar telling me to finish now, so I won't have to rush, but my inner procrastinator tells me to kick back and read some fanfics.
  • I snort and go for the fanfics obviously. I relax and let myself be sucked into the world of words, letting the time shave away.

  • Hi guys! Sorry for the delay! I myself am a procrastinator and I read a lot of webtoons. I had to pull an overnighter to finish my schoolwork that was due on Friday and was too tired to do anything. Thank you for being patient!
