Queen of Triads (BTS Mafia AU & Reader)
  • Shanghai, People's Republic of China
  • After finishing dinner with my in-laws, we walked out to the parking lot on the adjacent street, lit by two small lanterns. Kai, as usual, came over to open the door for me, but something caught his attention. He stared with furrowed brows at a side street and began to draw his gun. I approached him, but before I had time to ask anything, I heard a wet sound. A grimace of surprise ran across my husband's face and Kai began to fall to the ground. I moved quickly toward him and tried to support him, but I was unable to do so. Therefore, I grabbed him under his arms and slid down the car door to the ground. I gently slid him off me and, struggling to control the tears squeezing into my eyes, began frantically searching for a pulse. But I couldn't feel much... nothing but the stickiness of the blood that was flowing heavily from his neck. I tried to stop it, but I knew it wouldn't do much anymore. Kai was dead and I couldn't help him now. I rested my forehead on his chest and bit my lips hard, trying to hold back the sob that was pressing against them. With the corner of my eye, I saw Kai's gun lying next to us, and I already knew what I had to do.
  • I wiped the tears flowing from my eyes and took out my phone to turn on the recorder. I slipped it back into my pocket and clamped my hand tightly on the gun. I couldn't let my husband's murderer leave here alive. And even if I didn't succeed in killing him, I would try to get him to say at least a few words. I was sure Lucas would do his best to find him. I moved cautiously to the other side of our car and, bending low, ran quickly behind another. I closed my eyes for a moment and tried to remember all the training I had done with Yoongi so far. I wiped away the tears streaming down my face and tried to calm my breathing. And just then I heard him. His footsteps and snarling laughter. I cautiously looked out from behind the car I was hiding and glanced in that direction. I didn't have to wonder long who it was. I had only seen him in pictures, but I recognized him immediately.
  • - Liren Chu - I hissed furiously through my teeth, as his laughter threw me off balance and an incredible rage swept over me.
  • I relied completely on my instinct, so I jumped out of my hiding place and fired, hitting him in the right shoulder. Liren stayed on his feet, but let go of the gun. He looked in my direction and immediately rushed to the gun lying nearby. Then a second bullet reached him, shattering his left knee. Liren screamed in pain and fell to the ground.
  • - This is not what you expected, right?!
  • - *! In a moment you will die just like that damn traitor - he howled through clenched teeth.
  • - Brave words for someone with cracked knees - I fired again, destroying his other knee - You just killed my husband, who was the love of my life! I'll kill you for this, mother*er - I growled, coming closer.
  • - Hahaha, husband? You may think so, but your wedding was not supposed to take place until next week. And now it won't happen.... my father will get back everything he lost - he burst out laughing, despite the staggering pain.
  • - You are wrong - I stated coldly - Kai and I got married in secret a week ago, and his men swore loyalty to me. I think you know what that means.
  • His laughter broke off. He looked at me, not hiding his disbelief, but I could also see panic in his eyes.
  • - Oh, did I spoil your mood? My dear this is just the beginning - I stated icily - I know that you highly value an honorable death and that all the men in your family must die in a fight, preferably with weapons in hand. You, on the other hand, will die like the last unarmed coward, lying in a pool of blood and begging for mercy. You will cover your daddy with shame.
  • - Please leave me here... I will die anyway... I will bleed.... but... let me at least honorably... leave - the words barely passed through his throat.
  • - Honorably, you say! Hahaha, you're asking me to die honorably! You didn't have the guts to face my husband and now you're bull*ting about honor! - I shouted - You will die as you deserve, at the hands of a woman, helpless and begging for mercy - I shouted it in his face, leaning over him.
  • - I beg you... Don't do it! This is not how it was supposed to be! Please!
  • -Burn in hell! - I growled a moment before my heel crushed his larynx. Liren began to gurgle, and after a while he became completely immobile.
  • I looked at his body completely emotionless. I rubbed the heel of my shoe against his clothes in disgust and turned toward the car where my husband's body lay. I moved toward it, but suddenly felt all my strength leave me. With my last strength, I reached Kai, who was lying on the other side of the car, and only then did I settle to my knees. Barely able to see through the tears flowing from my eyes, I embraced him and pulled him to my chest. Only then did I feel a piercing pain in my left arm, from which blood was oozing. I had no idea where this wound came from, but I ignored it. I unwrapped the shawl and covered the wound on Kai's neck with it. Now he looked calm, just like when he happened to fall asleep while watching a movie. I wiped away my tears so I could see better. There was finally one more thing left for me to do. I took out my phone with bloody hands, turned off the recording and tried to call Lucas. I was so stressed about dinner that I forgot to charge the battery. However, I hoped that I would still have time to call. I succeeded only the third time.
  • - Hi lovely, how did dinner go?
  • - Tianma Tayuan parking lot... - my voice faltered.
  • - Y/n?! What happened?! You are... - I heard panic in his voice.
  • - Liren found us... - I whispered before the phone's battery died.
  • I lowered the useless phone to the ground and stuck my gaze in front of me. My life had just fallen into ruins, and I had entered a road from which I could no longer turn back. At that moment, nothing made any sense to me anymore. I glanced at the gun lying next to me and a thought flashed through my head. I tried to get rid of it, but I was unable to do so. I looked once again at Kai's body resting in my arms and a loud sob broke from my lips. I leaned over him carefully and kissed him on the lips one last time.
  • - I love you - I whispered, before reaching for my gun to clamp my fingers tightly on it and wait for help.
