"What's up with the moody face?" Ji Woon asked as the noticed the not-so-good mood.
Bitna gave out a sigh, her hair snapped up to the male.
"It's my dad"
"Why? Did you fight with him?"
She slowly shook her head; "No I didn't"
"Then what's wrong? You are only like this on three occasions"
"And what are those occasions?"
"First, whenever you fight with your dad, secondly when your grades fall and you are worried that your dad may feel disappointed, and thirdly, Oh my God I don't want to even say it out” Ji Woon commented, his mind trailing back
Bitna furrowed her brows, the last words getting the curiosity out of her.
"Why? What's the third one?"
"You don't know?" He asked acting surprised.
"Come on tell me! You are making me curious" She whined slightly shaking him.
"That very day you confessed your feelings and I rejected you"
Her hands slowly detached from him, a certain look inscribed on her face.
"Me?"
"Yeah! Don't tell me you don't remember because I will be so mad?" Ji Woon nodded all serious.
"I Park Bitna confessed my feelings to you, Lee Ji Woon?" She wriggled her face as her finger pointed toward him and the other index finger pointed to herself.
"Yeah! You were all hyped about how you love me and can't live without me. You even went down on your knees to beg me to accept you but I refused; You are anyway not my style"
"YAH! Who said that you are my type? You bloody liar, I will chop off your head today" Bitna charged toward him as she noticed his playful pranks.
Ji Woon busted out laughing seeing how worked up his friend was.
"I am not lying that's the truth I speak. Do you need confirmation?" He talked back his mental agility already set.
"Confirmation your head! You want to die in my hands, don't you?" Bitna stopped throwing daggers at him.
Ji Woon chuckled his cute Indian dimples popped out.
"See you are smiling now. Not saying you are pretty or any sort of that but you look much better with a smile on"
Bitna snorted a smile on her lips.
"You Slytherin fox" She called out throwing him a punch.
"You can call me anything you want" He laughed his back resting on the wall. "So what happened? Still want to talk about it?"
Bitna huffed as she remembered the reason for her mood earlier.
"Ahh, that? You made me forget about it for a moment there"
"Well glad to know," He said and gave her elbow a nudge
Bitna smiled as she turned giving him her full view.
"My Dad wants to remarry," She said bored
"Oops! But isn't that something to be happy about? Your dad will soon tie the knot and he will get a life partner to be with him"
Bitna sighed with her eyes closed.
"I know and I am happy for my Dad but I don't see the need for him to get married. We've been doing fine all this time and now,"
"Bitna?" He called out cutting her off.
"Is this where I think it's going?" He asked coming to terms with the handwriting on the wall.
Bitna bit her lower lip staring away from him.
Ji Woon sighed, and he took hold of her two hands. She looked at him wearily, like someone about to crush him down.
Ji Woon smiled at her, dissolving every weariness.
"Bitna I have been your best friend since childhood and I know your inside out. I also know the reason behind your weary state but this is about your dad and him finding the one he wants to be with. The woman your dad finds peace in, I think you should give her a chance”
Bitna furrowed her eyes, she loosened the grip on her hands.
"Ji Woon, are you seriously saying this? You of all should know how I feel. I never said I wanted a mom, so why should I be the one giving her a chance?"
"I am not saying you should accept her well not yet but you still got to do it for your Dad. I very well know the history you have with your mom but not everyone is like her. You never know she might be different and maybe she is the one that will fill up the void in your heart" He reasoned
"I haven't had one, to begin with, and I certainly don't need one"
Ji Woon sighed and gave up.
"Ok, I agree with you! Don't let this ruin our mood. So, when is the wedding taking place?" He asked slightly changing the topic.
"I don't know, all I know is this ridiculous dinner we are having with both families tomorrow"
"At least you get to eat nice food"
Bitna pursed her lips, she gave the male an insane look;
"Do you ever stay serious for five minutes?"
"Of course, you should know me by now. Seriousness is my middle name"
"Unfortunately I don't" She spat as she gave him a quick kick.
"Ahh! Yah Bitna, that hurts" He playfully whined, his hand massaging the area.
"That suits you right"
"Have you been working out lately that I do not know about?"
Bitna shrugged her shoulders, giving her the 'I don't know hand gestures.
"Come on let's go, we are going to be late for the basketball match" She hurriedly said grabbing her bag.
"Calm down, it is still early"
"Well I don't want to miss the front-row seat but you can stay if you wish to sit at the back"
Ji Woon sighed and shook his head
"Be still I am coming, just say that you are yearning for the front row just to get a clearer view of your idol crush"
"Well, you can say that, unlike someone I know of. I rather spend time watching him play than seeing him"
"And who is that someone you know you don't want to see?" He asked grabbing his bag pack.
Bitna stopped facing him,
"Do you really wanna know?"
"Nope! Who said I was interested?" He shook his head with a hand wave.
