Never stop loving you / Taehyung's POV
Never stop loving you
  • There’s a new girl in our class today. That’s what the teachers told me. Her name is Olivia and she moved here with her mom. I’ve only seen her once today, but from what I saw she’s very pretty.
  • “Taehyung-ssi!?” Jimin yells. “Are you even listening to me?” Jimin is my best friend.
  • “Sorry.” I shake my head to clear my thoughts.
  • “The principal asked Yuna to show Olivia around.” He says.
  • “Oof. That’s not gonna end well. Yuna’s a *.” Yuna is also my ex-girlfriend. We dated for a while and then she cheated on me. She and I are the school heartthrobs so we were bound to get together. It just didn’t end as well as I had hoped. She wasn’t the person everyone thought she was. The new girl was about to get a taste of her savage side. Yuna isn’t one for newbies.
  • “Olivia, have you had a good day so far?” I hear Yuna ask her, a little too genuine to be genuine.
  • “Yeah I did. Thanks to you.” Olivia goes in for a hug.
  • “Ok, umm… rule one, never touch me.” Yuna pushes Olivia away.
  • “Oh ok. Sorry.” Olivia looks at the floor.
  • “It’s ok.” Yuna smiles. She is such a liar.
  • “I’ll be right back.” I say to Jimin. I walk over to them. “Hey.” I say interfering with their awkward conversation.
  • “Hi!” Olivia says cheerfully.
  • “I heard that Yuna here is supposed to be your guide for the first week of school.” I say.
  • “Yeah, she is.” Olivia smiles at me.
  • “Yes. And I’m doing just fine without YOU.” Yuna emphasizes ‘you’. “Right Olivia?”
  • “Umm, yeah. She’s been really helpful so far.” Olivia says, awkwardly.
  • “Did she say anything about me?” I ask, curious about what Yuna said.
  • “Well….”
  • “No.” Yuna interrupts, glaring at Olivia. “No I didn’t.”
  • “Umm yeah. She didn’t say anything.” Olivia smiles at me.
  • “Ok. Well, I’ll see you around.” I walk back to Jimin. I continue watching them from afar though.
  • After the first week of school, Yuna didn’t talk to Olivia anymore. She sat alone at lunch and went straight to the library after school. Not that I stalk her or anything. I’m just observant. Sometimes, though, she comes to school with a black eye or a swollen lip. I haven’t got the chance to ask her. She’s, again, sitting alone at a table eating lunch so I decide to accompany her.
  • “Hi.” I sit down at the table. She looks up at me and smiles.
  • “Hi.” She replies. “Is there something on my face?” She asks after catching me staring at her.
  • “Sorry. No.” I look at the floor, embarrassed. She chuckles.
  • “It’s not polite to stare at people.” She says, still smiling warmly at me.
  • “I’m sorry I just-”
  • “You don’t have to apologize.” She says. I smile. “Did the principal tell you to befriend me?” She asks after a long period of silence.
  • “What, no.” I said quickly. “Why would you think that?”
  • “Yuna told me that the only reason she hung out with me was because the principal made her.” She shrugs. “I mean, I figured. She treated me like… I don’t know like I was a baby.”
  • “Yeah, that’s Yuna for you.” I chuckle. “But no. I just saw you alone and figured I’d talk to you.”
  • “Oh.”
  • “What?” I ask.
  • “Well, in the past weeks that I’ve been here, no one’s stopped to say hi like you did.” She admits. “I’ve just gotten used to sitting alone.”
  • “That’s sad.” I reply. “If you ever want to sit with me at my table-”
  • “I’m good. You sit with all the *s.” She says, looking me dead in the eye.
  • “Ouch.” I reply, jokingly.
  • “See you later.” She stands up and walks towards the library. I feel strangely attracted to her.
