Mellifluous / Chapter Eight
Mellifluous
  • You mother said that maybe it wasn’t anything serious. Anyone can experience little arrhythmias, and that if it didn’t hurt or didn’t build up into more...it was okay.
  • So, as you ate the tasty meal she had prepared, you once again, thought about Jin and Namjoon. What could they both be doing right now? Namjoon doesn’t seem like the type to cook. Something deep inside of you, for some reason could feel like maybe he isn’t the best in the kitchen for some odd reason. Maybe because you saw him multiple times, be a bit of...
  • Be a bit of a cluts.
  • Despite his education, and smart way of looking. The tall male had a missing sense of surrounding. Many times did he almost knock down his cup of coffee. You were surprised by how many times you saw him quickly react to stop it. He’s pretty fast at least. Not to mention, when you left the cafe, he bumped into the wall!
  • His eyes once again focused, on the plants near the cafe’s windows. The innocent plants doing nothing but taking a nice dose of sunlight, to then be scared half to death by an admirer who bumped into the wall, and had somewhat looked like he was going to fall on them.
  • Luckily you were there, and had outstretched your hand quickly to pull his sleeve.
  • Namjoon gave you this sheepish smile. His dimples obviously presenting themselves, as his cheeks turned red. You noticed that while he blushes red, Seokjin’s blushes are more of a pink color...
  • “S-sorry...Thanks...”was what Namjoon always seems to say. Both apologizing and thanking. It was...
  • “Cute...” you thought. That would explain the soft looks Jin would give him. Warm enough for even the viewer to feel at a distance. Since Jin got his smelling and taste back, you wonder if he can smell Namjoon differently than you. Taste him differently-
  • The sudden movement of your mother standing up, had you stop your train of thought. Looking up, you smiled seeing non other than your father walking in. He looked a bit tired, yet he smiled at your presence. Signing you a hello, you greeted back, and he joined the two of you for dinner. He spoke with your mother, mainly. You didn’t mind. Until he tapped his hand next to your halfway finished dish.
  • “Your mother said you felt something weird?”
  • He asked. Using sign language which has been taught to everyone in the family.
  • “Do you still feel it?” He asked.
  • “No.” You answered.
  • “Are you sure? You’re not lying?”
  • ”I’m not!”
  • Always the one to worry and check more than twice. Your father was a man who has to know about your well-being. Even if he was out from the house most of the time, and day. He always asked how his little girl was doing. If you had eaten. If you had done anything to make you smile.
  • If you were both mentally, and physically okay.
  • Your mother was too, of course! But your dad was a bit on the overprotective side.
  • “If you feel it again, we’re going to the clinic.” he said.
  • You rolled your eyes.
  • ”Okay.”
  • ”But you have to tell me or your mother.”
  • ”Okay, I get it!”
  • Letting out a huff, you continue to finish your meal. Your father just starting his, after your mother placed down his plate in-front of him.
  • “Thanks for walking me home, Kookie.” Taehyung said. Smiling brightly as Jungkook guided him to the front door of his house. It’s not like he’ll just let his blind friend walk home by himself, who would do that!?
  • “We’re going to that fair tomorrow, right?” Taehyung asked. Already looking excited. Feeling the one tug from Jungkook, made him smile even wider.
  • ”Awesome! See ya!” He said.
  • Jungkook nodded, and walked away to catch the bus. Another bus that would take him home.
  • Jungkook is the one that lives the furthest from the three. Which is why usually, Jimin walks Taehyung home. The two living like 30 minutes away from eachother. Jungkook is the one who is around an hour or so away. He takes two busses, while his two Hyungs take only one.
  • Not that Jungkook minds. He loves riding busses. Again, he loves looking out the window. Let his mind take off to whatever dreamland the music takes him to.
  • Putting on his headphones, he made his way to the nearest bus stop. He couldn’t help but wonder what Jimin could be doing. He’s been a bit strange recently. Hopefully he’s okay...
  • Finally reaching the bus stop, Jungkook took a seat. While sitting, his attention went to a girl pushing a guy on a wheelchair. From the looks of it, it seems like he isn’t able to walk. Probably the whole Incomplete thing. He was talking, and listening...and he also seemed able to see. The girl pushing him was kinda cute. What if she...?
  • ”Stop it, Jungkook.” He shook his head. No way could that girl be his soulmate. He would be feeling something...right? He would feel the so called Soul Hit.
  • The Soul Hit is that intense feeling of emotions, along with getting your missing self back. It happens the moment you meet your Soulmate, and once it happens, you gotta buckle up.
  • To what Jungkook knows, from both school and his parents, experiencing the Soul Hit...is painful.
  • His mother had a severe fever. She wouldn’t be able to stand without help, and would cry for his father. Even if the two had just met.
  • His father, also didn’t do so well. He kept fainting due to feeling so overwhelmed. His insides hurt, and his body ached. He claimed that even breathing was painful.
  • Soul Hits don’t have an end time. They vary depending on the individual. From a few hours to DAYS, the individual will go through pain and discomfort. And after all of that is gone, the meeting of both soulmates begins.
  • This world is so weird. Out of millions-no-BILLIONS of dimensions this universe could have, why was he born in this one? Childhood becomes horrible after turning 10. Nothing is ever the same, until you meet “The One”. It’s unfair.
  • Seeing the bus making its way to the stop, Jungkook stood up. His music on full volume, as he got his bus pass ready.
  • You let out a chuckle as you were texting non other than Jin. He had been fanboying about your day out with Namjoon. You were just finishing telling him about how his tall soulmate almost killed some plants. He wasn’t surprised about the clumsiness at all.
  • Jin 💜
    Jin 💜
Yeah...At this point I want to just wrap him in bubble wrap. 🤣
  • You

Don’t start screaming when we enter the haunted house. 🙄😂
  • Jin 💜
    Jin 💜
    You’re mean...
  • You have a fear of heights, while Jin has a fear of...everything.
  • From loud noises, to bugs, Jin was always the one who would scream and jump to the sky. Since little he’s been this way. There was a time, where if any bug was nearby, he would coward behind you. Making it the most hilarious scene. He was already taller than you, but did his best to get as small as he could, to use you as a shield from the flying dragonfly. Nowadays he’s gotten a bit more brave. Now he curls into himself, and walks rapidly away. Closing his eyes shuts and almost praying that the bug has left his surroundings.
  • You were STILL mainly the one who had to shoo it away, or kill it. But that’s back when Jin needed you. You wonder if Namjoon is now the one in shining armor, that protects Jin from any alien looking bug.
  • He probably is. He seems like the one who would.
  • You let out a sigh. Your mind making questions about your unknown soulmate. Would they hide from the bug, or protect you from it? Would they also bump into walls and look at plants?
  • Closing your eyes, you let yourself wonder once again. A hobby you have recently been having. Just...wondering. Imagining.
