MY BOSS / CHAPTER 7
MY BOSS
  • "What's your name?"
  • "Areum; Lee Areum"
  • "So beautiful! Don't worry Areum I will protect you"
  • "Is that a promise?"
  • "Yes"
  • A smile flattered his face revealing the slight dimples popping out. The dream was calming, only good memories filled it up. But;
  • "Save me! Please don't leave me"
  • The Eight years old cried stretching forth her tiny palms to the image running away.
  • "You promised to protect me remember? You can't break it Park Ji_"
  • The tiny voice slowly faded as she watches him run out of sight.
  • Jimin ran as fast as his tiny ten-year-old legs could carry him. The night was lonely, darkness evolving everywhere.
  • "PLEASE HELP! MY FRIEND IS STILL THERE"
  • He cried and shouted as he kept on running not ever looking back for a moment. He manage to exit the building and halted on his steps not knowing where to run now. The roads were dark and a building in midst of lanes made it difficult to decide.
  • His eyes were so reddish and blurry from how teary his eyes were. He must stay strong but what can a ten-year-old do amid the chaos?
  • The light pale male wriggled in his sleep, eyes shut tight as his hand clutched to the bedspread. His head shaking non-stop muttering a 'No'. His breaths hitch as tears trickle down his cheek.
  • Making up his mind, his feet's moved him toward the right lane. He kept on running, praying for a miracle to happen. He staggeringly bumps into a figure his feet giving up as he fell to the ground.
  • "Please help me!"
  • "What are you doing here kid?" The only voice bold enough to traumatize a soul echoes.
  • Jimin gasps hearing that single voice he hates, his head slowly snaps up hoping that it will only be a delusion but nope.
  • Right in his presence was the devil's right-hand man.
  • He slowly retreats with a shivering body;
  • "Leave me alone, HELP!!!"
  • The heels echo through the lonely street as the figure draws closer.
  • "Shh kiddo quiet. You don't want to wake up the others right"
  • "HELP!!!"
  • With a loud gasp, he sprung up waking up from that painful nightmare.
  • His chest rose up and down as the fast beating of his heart fills the room. Beads of sweat fell from his forehead, the sheets were all wet from the crying and sweating.
  • He turns on the nightstand lamp grabbing the bottle of water. He opens the bottle, gulping down the whole liquid in one go as water droplets slide down his mouth drenching his already-soaked shirt.
  • He slips his legs out of the sheets letting them collide with the cold marble floor. He sighs grabbing his phone that was lying on the nightstand and switching it on. He ruffles his hair as he mindlessly goes to the contact menu scanning the list of names on his contacts.
  • His hands unconsciously stopped at the sight of a particular name. He gulps down not knowing what to do, his hands move to press the call button but stops remembering the voice of his hyung.
  • "You have to stop confusing yourself thinking they are the same person... They just bear the same name but different creatures"
  • "But she still reminds me of her" He shook his head pressing the back button.
  • He flips the phone settling on calling his hyung but his phone was switched off. He sighed not knowing what to do.
  • He needed someone to talk to right now if he still wants to keep his sanity.
  • Directly it was his hyung that always keeps him right on track whenever this occurs but right now he wasn't reachable. He couldn't call the person that indirectly keep him going. Just feeling her mere presence was more than enough to brighten up his mood. It is 3 am and he couldn't use the indirect way and was not strong enough to go directly.
  • 'The guilt is slowly eating him up. He just couldn't face the person that has the same name as her'
  • "This is so tiring!"
  • His spirit was weak and his eyes widely open staring at nothing, fear of going back to sleep gripping him.
  • To the world, he stands as a strong unbeatable force but little did they know what constant pain this man has to fight every day. His world meant nothing if his mind is not at peace.
  • Seems like heaven understood his plight, just then his phone ranged at the moment alarming him.
  • He quickly grabs his phone not checking the caller ID.
  • Right now it doesn't matter who was calling. All he needed was someone to talk to even for a second.
  • "Annyeong" His voice growls into the phone.
  • "Seems like you were on standby waiting for me to call" The so familiar voice exaggerates.
  • Jimin smiled recognizing the voice, finally someone he can also talk to.
  • "Jungkook?"
  • "Forgotten me already or oops, Don't tell me you were expecting someone else's call! Who is it? A girl?" His voice pitches down the call line.
  • "You are unbelievable! Seems like being in the States has made you forget about the time zone."
  • "Don't talk as if you were sleeping because you weren't. Just felt like calling and luckily boom you popped in and the goal it is"
  • Jimin gratefully thanked his stars, he won't show it but deep down he felt relieved and life just regained in him.
  • "Once a Jungkook will always be a Jungkook"
  • "Gosh, that's so dry... You definitely suck at writing Jimin"
  • "At least am better than you at writing!" He laughed hearing him scrunch.
  • "In your dreams!"
  • "How is America? When are you coming back because frankly, I can't remember your face again"
  • "Indirectly saying you missed me?" He teased.
  • "You know what? Forget it, don't even think about coming back because I will send you back"
  • "Hahaha so funny! Is that your cover word hyung"
  • "Am serious!" Jimin said controlling his laughter.
  • "If you want to send me back just do it in your house at least my feedings are guaranteed"
  • "You sly witch" Jimin laughing voice erupts
  • "Thank goodness am not a female! Witch is feminine What a dumb CEO"
  • "Hush is that how you want to play it?"
  • The laughter of the two souls overshadows the nightmare as Jimin felt his soul returning.
