MY BOSS / CHAPTER 4
MY BOSS
  • "Are you sure it's an image of a woman?"
  • Areum took a breath and shook her head;
  • "I-i am not sure but my hints tell me is a woman. The shoes, outfit, and body stature all tell that it is a woman related but," Her voice stopped as her mind runs wide thinking of a solution to the mystery.
  • "But what?" Taehyung asked with a lot more concern seeing her troubled face.
  • "But the voice is that of a man"
  • "A Man?"
  • "Yes am sure! Its voice was deep and its bass tone sent shivers down the spine. I can still hear its whisper"
  • "Have you heard the voice before?"
  • She closed her eyes searching for a possible scenario of coming across the voice.
  • "No, but it does sound familiar for some reason"
  • Taehyung took a deep breath trying to pinpoint what she told him and her past dreams together. He tries picking the rhythm but nothing seems to be rhyming together.
  • It is just like trying to fix broken pieces of glass together
  • 'No End, No Beginning
  • "Was he the only one present there?"
  • "No other images were standing behind him but it was too blurry"
  • He nodded and pen down something;
  • "Did you notice any other thing apart from that?"
  • "There were a bundle of ropes and tapes lying on the floors and clasp of gunshots"
  • "Ropes and Tapes! l?" He asked
  • "Yeah lots of ropes and tapes lying on the floors"
  • "Were there any chairs in the room?"
  • Areum shook her head;
  • "I don't know! The red dimmed lights made it so hard to see anything"
  • "You mentioned feeling uneasy when you were lying down and when you woke up it felt like someone battled with you and tied you up, right?"
  • "Yeah"
  • Taehyung nodded and bit the tip of his pen as if he figured something out...
  • "Hmm it's making sense now"
  • "What do you mean?" Areum asked looking at him confusedly.
  • "The rope, the tape, and you got tied up all rhymes now. I think that might be a piece of your memory"
  • Areum stayed calm examining the facts together
  • "But there were no chairs in that room"
  • "That doesn't mean there might not be chairs in the room and the room was so dimmed that you didn't get to see clearly or maybe you were already trapped in the chair?"
  • She furrowed her brows and blankly stared at the brown hair male.
  • "That doesn't make any sense at all"
  • "Can you remember what state you were in? Were you lying, standing, or sitting down"
  • "I can't recall but am sure I wasn't standing"
  • "You see it makes sense. You were busy observing the things around you but you never got to observe yourself. This should be a better explanation to why you felt that way and the ropes and tapes all balance it all"
  • If there was a better name for the confusion she was feeling at the moment, it is far beyond everyday confusion.
  • Her mind felt like it was about to burst and her brain was no longer functioning well.
  • 'A total catastrophic disaster'
  • "Areum! Areum!!" A deep voice snapped her out of the variety of thoughts running through her mind.
  • She looked up and facepalms herself;
  • "Are you Ok?" He asked with a sincere look of worry
  • "Y-yeah I am fine, i-i am just confused"
  • "Is ok Areum! I didn't say that to worry you, it is mere pictorial thinking and there might be another reason behind your dreams. You shouldn't put deep thoughts into that, ok?"
  • She sighed and hesitantly nodded her head.
  • "Drink this water and calm yourself down" He handed over a bottle of water to her which she took and slowly gulped down.
  • She grabbed her things and stood up "I'm sorry but I think I should be on my way"
  • "I understand Areum! You need rest to put your mind off things... Just don't think too much about it and use this weekend to get a nice rest" He instructed her as he walks her down to the door.
  • "I will, thank you Taehyung~ah see ya" She smiled and waves him off.
  • "Call me if anything happens"
  • "I will"
  • With a shady mind and heavy feet, she walks the streets of Seoul.
  • Her luck of getting home and not passing her stop all depended on the crying of a baby who got her out of her thought. The little walk she took home helped her and she needed it because that kind of aid in taking her mind off things for a while and it did make her tired to only think of the comfort of her bed.
  • She jumps onto her bed at the sight of it, she needs to sleep and has to forget the dream. She never was one to dwell in her past but these days it was getting hard to ignore despite it all, she lives her everyday life to the fullest because no matter what;
  • Life Goes On
  • ****
  • The alarm clock goes on furiously refusing to turn off which ended up waking the sleepy head girl who was sleeping so peacefully like a problem-free angel.
  • "Gosh, why can't you just let me sleep?" She grumpily sighed and annoyingly turned off the alarm clock.
  • With a grunt, she sat up and massively rubbed her eyes to get a clearer view. She tirelessly stood up grabbing her phone from the nightstand as usual.
  • Her eyes widened seeing the time, it was already eight in the morning and that wasn't how it was supposed to go.
  • "WHAT? I AM LATE"
  • She jumps out of the bed and just like the speed of light she races down to the bathroom but stopped in her tracks realization hitting her.
  • 'It is the weekend'
  • "Aish Areum! Stupid you, it is the weekend *" She kept on hitting her head as a reminder tool.
  • She sighs and plopped down back on the bed.
  • "Gosh, what am I gonna do now? Maybe I should just go back to sleep"
