His Saviour: For Me, You Are. / Neither a dream, nor a hallucination.
His Saviour: For Me, You Are.
  • I wake up feeling very light and with a faint voice calling my name now and then.
  • Curious to know how long has it been since I fell asleep, I look towards the window and the morning sun is shining brightly. I have to squint and blink my eyes several times in order to adjust to the lighting.
  • "Nadia, Nadia~!"
  • Someone is calling me from the hallway of my house, it's a soothing and calm voice. A voice that I know in the back of my mind but can't pin point. This beautiful low pitch voice belongs to a man. I have never heard this voice but strangely enough I know to whom does it belong.
  • Even before my mind can process all the information, my body acts on its own and with quick feet and hands I open the door only to regret it afterwards. The corridor is dark and dim-lited. A mist is also here and suddenly I find myself out in open.
  • 'Strange? Wasn't I in my parent's house?'
  • Before I could process what was going on, a silhouette of man appears in a distance. It's hard to pin point his exact visuals as he is almost fading into the mist. I move closer and somehow it got his attention. His eyes meet mine and my breath gets stuck in my throat. He has beautiful ocean deep blue eyes. His face seems to break into a smile upon seeing me as he utters, "Here you are."
  • I strain my eyebrows, trying to understand what is happening. I blink hard and I'm back at my parent's house, in the middle of the corridor. Only silence is here to greet me. What happened? Wasn't I in some open field? What's going on? I look here and there, just to make sure my mind is not making this up and to search that mysterious and damn hot person.
  • No one comes in view.
  • "Nadia!"
  • Again, I hear my name but this time with a light chuckle. I follow the direction of the sound and it's coming from downstairs.
  • As soon as I hear the voice, the corridor gets lit with bright lights as if to guide me. I find this all so strange but my body is quick to react and my feet immediately leads me to the stairs. It's like I'm mindlessly attracted to this voice just like a moth is attracted to the lighting bulb. I want to stop and question myself as to what I am doing here. What was that earlier? Where did that man disappear? But my body is not giving me enough time to process it all.
  • In seconds, I find myself standing at the edge of the stairs which opens into the living room. I climb down and in front of me is my whole family, my mother, my dad and my younger brother Vincent. My mother and dad are sitting on a sofa while Vincent is laying on the loveseat.
  • The living room is all lively and warm by their chatters, they all seems to be having fun. Vincent, although he is busy on his phone, still joins in their disclosure now and then. Looking at them makes me feel at home and a smile on its own form on my lips. My eyes travel along to where their all attention is. Who are they talking with? They all are talking to this single person. In the corner of the room along with my family there is this familiar yet unfamiliar face.
  • Our eyes meet and he smiles his warmest smile. His eyes are the same colour that I saw just a moment ago. My brain immediately notifies me, 'I know him.'
  • A feeling of nostalgia strikes me deep and yet again, my quick reflexes take me by surprise. Before I know it, my smile widens even more. I, clearly not wanting to, rush to his side, giving him a peck on his cheek.
  • Recieving a light peck on his cheek I hear a light chuckle following his smooth voice saying, "I was waiting for you. You sure took your time sleeping."
  • "Umm, yeah. I was tired. You know how it gets with me."
  • He nods, kissing the back of my hands and playing with my fingers.
  • What is this? What is going on? I can't control anything, my body, my actions, my mouth, my words. Only a portion of my mind is available to me, to think and to see. It's like I am on an autopilot mode.
  • Now that I think about it, this is him, my so-called boyfriend. The one who appears in my dreams. Wait a second? Am I dreaming? This ought to be a dream. That's why I can't control this. But thankfully some portion of my logical brain is working to let me analyse all of it. This time I will make sure to get his name. But how come no one is calling him by his name. Not to mention, I am also not calling him by his name. I am only referring to him through pet names like honey, love, babe?
  • My mom disturbs my thoughts asking, "Theo, why do you not visit us frequently? We all enjoy your company, you know. Especially Nadia, Isn't it, darling?"
  • I nod, slightly blushing.
  • He continues conversing with my family, more like answering all their questions.
  • 'Oh thank god. Finally, his name! Mom, I love you.'
  • I continue to look at him, eying him up and down, thinking, 'so your name is Theo. I, finally got your name at last. You cheeky bast...'
  • I mean to curse him but as I am eyeing him up I notice he is quite charming and man, hawt. I am sitting on his lap. His one arm is loosely wrapped around my waist and his other hand is busy playing with my fingers. He, sometimes intertwine our fingers, sometimes squeezes and rubs my finger tips while he continues to make small comments. He seems to enjoy this and is pretty comfortable with me on his lap. I also like this feeling, the sensation of his touches and being in his arms. I am happy in this moment with him. He is extremely cozy.
  • I don't pay any mind to their conversation as my focus is only on this male figure in front of me.
  • He is wearing a khaki green, round neck sweater with dark blue jeans and white loafers. He is so beautiful, almost enchanting. I have always seen him in my dreams with his face and some details of him being hazy. Often times, I recognize him from the feelings I get, just by being with him. But this time, some things are different. Very different.
  • First, I am able to process this dream while being in the dream at the same time. Usually I get to process these dreams after waking up. And second, his features are so vivid. It's like looking at him directly and not through dreams. His face is always so blurry in most of my dreams and when its not, I would always forget his face just after waking up.
  • Its like its there but at the same time its not. I know how he looks like but at the same time I don't. To which, I usually complain after waking up.
  • Another thing that I find strange is, in my previous dreams, with him, I would recognize him from the feelings I get just by being with him, but this time I sure as heck can tell, who is he. He is the same person that I saw at the crosswalk before. And just when the realization hit, my alarm clock begins to wake me up from this so called home, from this dream, my dream. Just a few moments before the alarm can make me fully awake. I look up and he is looking at me, very keenly. A blush begin to creep up on my cheek. He knew I was observing him and he liked it. He holds my gaze and as if sensing that I am about to wake up. He burries his face in my neck, inhaling deeply and sending shivers my way, almost making me close my eyes in pleasure. His warm breath tickles the area around my neck as he speaks, "I don't want to let go. We just met. It's only been, what, like seconds. Only if you were a bit earlier."
  • He lifts his head up and I see some hint of sadness in his eyes as we continue to gaze into each other's eyes. The song of my alarm becomes more audible by seconds. I hear him grumble a little with agitation. However, he's quick to mask it all as he tears his eyes away, only to look me deep and straight in my eyes yet again but with much more focus and utters, "Don't be late next time. I am waiting for you. Don't run... Never run from me." His ocean like eyes are clear and deep, I feel like they are drawing me in and are ready to make me sink.
  • And whoosh. I wake up.
  • My body jolts up and my heart beat quickens with butterflies flying over in all those places he touched, my neck, my waist and my fingers. I can't believe this. The person I always see in my dreams have finally surfaced but I still can't describe what I witnessed at the crosswalk, was real or it was my mind playing a trick on me.
  • I take deep breaths and try to let the butterflies settle. Once I'm back to normal I heave a sigh and get up from my bed ready to go with my routine.
  • I have a feeling this would be an amazing day today which is absolutely on point.
  • Throughout the day I went with my friends to our usual hangout place and we had a blast. Later attending our afternoon lectures in the University. It's now late in the evening, around 5 PM sharp and I am getting ready to head out, all ready to go back to my apartment. I gather my stuff, my bike keys and head out.
  • I rode a pure black Harley Davidson today. My parents bought this as a gift for my brother. But he prefer riding sports bike, so I made him give it to me, before moving to the city. I literally had to beg him. Ugh, just the thought of Vincent is making me roll my eyes.
  • 'Seriously, are all siblings like that?'
  • I am on the stairs, climbing down. Just as I am about to reach my bike, I recall that I left my phone with Emily. She was sending some files for our next assignment which is on 'International threats and how it affects the internal security of a particular state around the globe'. I take a turn on my heels and begin heading back. In the process, my heel manages to slip out of my ankle so I bend down to put it back on. I am wearing a black slip on heels today with skinny black jeans, white tank top and a black leather jacket to match my get up with my bike. I decided to ride bike to University today because I have some grocery shopping to do.
  • After putting my ankle back in my heel, I straighten my posture and the scene in front of me has already changed.
  • I see a huge College like building in front of me, thoroughly different from mine. Mine is a University and looks modern with latest technologies installed but this is a college with an archaic type structure that you mostly see during medieval times. I have to say it is well kept and there are some modern technologies installed here and there. The stairs I was climbing was made of white stone but right now the stairs that I am standing on, are made of red bricks. On my right side is a red brick wall covered with vines spreading all over the wall and on my left side is an open space where other bunch of students are hanging, chatting and idling around.
  • But what catches my eyes most is that, in front of me, just few stairs away is the same person I saw yesterday at the crosswalk. The dream that I had today early this morning flashed right in my mental view and his image overlapped with this guy in front of me. There is no doubt he is Theo.
  • Yesterday, he was wearing a uniform-like outfit. This time, he is wearing a black shirt with beige pants, brown shoes matching them with his belt. He has a book in his hand and he is climbing downstairs.
  • I am frozen in place, again lookin', more like gawkin' up at him. Climbing down and coming closer at me, he looks my way. Our eyes meet, for only a mere second and he walks past me. He just walks past me, without stopping, without turning, leaving me baffled and more confused.
  • My eyes on the other hand, just follows him until his silhouette disappear, turning into a corner.
  • He's gone and I am left here not believing my eyes and what I just witnessed yet again.
  • This is pointless. I feel hurt beyond words. The him that I see in my dreams is so lovely and he manages to find me on his own but this him. I don't know what to make of him, he won't even look at me and wonder if I know this person or not. Or maybe I am the crazy one here, thinking all that.
  • I have had enough of this. I clench my fist and decide to ignore it, all of it. If he doesn't care then why should I?
  • I get 5 whole minutes to realize that it is neither a dream nor hallucination as I do everything, that is, splashing my face with water (there is a public water tap near the end of the staircase), pinching myself on hand till it bruises. So, no way it's not reality.
  • I stop a blonde girl in order to ask her which university/college is this. And she informs me that this is Munic College of Arts, and we are currently in "Republic of Zaron".
  • I tilt my head in confusion as I ask her further, "Is this not Chicago? Where is Zaron, then? Is it some kind of minor island? Sorry, my geography is a little weak".
  • She rolls her eyes at my question and shows me the map on her phone, the geographical location of this so called "Republic of Zaron" is the same as that of Chicago state but the names I see are very different. France is a Kingdom called Kingdom of Herald, its monarchy. Half of USA is also a constitutional monarchy. The geographical divide of some of the territories are also different. China is divided into three nations, with two of them being democratic. What is this?
  • The girl went away with her group of circle. Luckily, the language I speak is similar or it would be really troublesome for me.
  • My mind is going all frenzy just thinking about it and I have a sudden headache with all the things I am analyzing.
  • No amount of homework or research papers have drained my head like this. Damn! This is deepsh*t crazy.
  • I have a hunch of what is going on.
  • 'Could it be dimension swap/ dimension overlap? Or maybe, parallel universe? I did read in science magazine that in quantum physics it's a possibility.' I thought and suddenly I am back in my world, I see my University, my lovely University, right in front of me. Never have I felt so happy to see it before. The white stoned stairs are back. Somehow I feel relieved.
  • I blink again several times and then I see Emily rushing towards me with Greg running behind her, making it appear more real and making me believe that I am back. To be honest if I stayed any longer, I would have started panicking.
  • "Oyi! You forget your phone. WOAH! What happened? You are breaking into a cold sweat. Are you alright?" she asks, seeing my expressions which is all over the place.
  • Beside her, Greg also looks worried.
  • 'So the horror shows on my face, huh?'
  • I sigh. I want to tell her exactly what happened but before that I need to organize my own thoughts and get a good look on the situation I am in. Heck, I, myself am unable to grasp the situation so why bother her. Later. Yeah, I'll tell her later when Greg is not around. That's one less person to make fun of me or think of me as some lunatic.
  • "Oh. Nothing. It's just I'm kinda feeling under the weather. I'll be fine after some rest" I pull my best poker face.
  • "Are you sure? You se..." Catching on to my poker face she says but sensing my worries, she glances at her side, where Greg is standing.
  • "Ok. If you say so. Will you be able to drive your bike?"
  • I nod my head, heading towards the parking lot. I put my helmet on and my phone buzzes.
  • I look at the screen, It's Emily.
  • "You better tell me what happened, when you reach home."
  • "You noticed?" I texted back.
  • "Of course, whaddaya take me as?" That's Emily for you.
  • "OK, you got it."
  • I smile a little as I place my phone in my backpack, ready to head towards the nearest convenience store which is half an hour drive away.
  • I rev the engine giving it a roar and begin riding. Damn, I feel good to be on wheels, with the air hitting me, as I ride away. The sun is setting and there is a red traffic light.
  • I stop momentarily and whosh.
  • Another dimension swap/slip!
  • This time, it's a residential area with blocks of houses. And I stop on the narrow road opposite to his house.
  • Again, I see him. He is with a little kid that I saw yesterday. They are playing basketball together in the background of their house. He is wearing blue shorts and nothing on top. The little kid is having a hard time catching up to him as he plays little jokes and tricks on the kid.
  • 'Damn! Dude. Go easy on the kid, will ya?'
  • Our eyes again meet which I doubt as I am wearing a helmet, and he slips, hitting his butt.
  • Then whosh another dimension slip and I am back to my world with yellow traffic light upfront.
  • This is an industrial area, with huge buildings.
  • 'Oh this is hilarious.' I am having a hard time keeping my balance as the image of him falling, keep playin' in my head over and over again, making me crack up.
  • He couldn't have known that it was me with my helmet on. Or he would also find it capricious as to why I am lately bumping into this girl? Why is she always looking at me? Creep?
  • 'Hah! Even I find it creepy.'
  • My head is filled with these kind of thoughts as I go browsing through the store. In half an hour I am done with shopping. I bought some vegetables, cleaning supplies, home decor lights, I am thinking of installing them near my bed.
  • The day goes by as usual. I decide to ponder over the dimension thingy later as I have research papers to do on international threat and internal security, which keeps me occupied until 1 AM sharp. After that I just drift into a dreamless sleep.
