Ding Chengxin: You are my salvation
  • When I was very young, my mother often told me the story of my mother-in-law's tattoo. Although my mother did not tattoo characters on my back, the four characters "Loyalty to serve the country" have long been branded in my heart, making me determined to serve the motherland when I grow up.
  • In the social class, the teacher told me that our beautiful motherland has a vast territory of 9.6 million square kilometers, a splendid history of 5,000 years, four great inventions that attract worldwide attention, a world-renowned Chinese culture, and three mountains and five mountains. Beautiful scenery... I was intoxicated by it at the time, and I deeply felt that our motherland is the most beautiful place in the world.
  • But then I understood that history will not only be sunny, but also dark clouds pressing the city and thunder. When I felt the pride of Chinese politeness and the splendor of the ancient country of China, I also clearly saw the suffering our country had endured, the humiliation that the sons and daughters of China had endured, and the history that was more tortuous than the Yellow River and more bitter than the sea. I think of the rising British flag on Hong Kong Island, the eight-nation allied army that burned and looted in Beijing, and the Japanese army that killed and destroyed humanity in the ancient city of Nanjing... But any Chinese with a conscience, who doesn't clench their fists and slap the table! So, they looked forward to it in pain, groped in the dark, and fought in humiliation. The thunder of the Wuxu Reform, the swords of the Boxers, and the gunfire of the 1911 Revolution proved to the world the awakening of the Chinese people; the cry of the May Fourth Movement, the founding of the Communist Party, and the Chinese people's revolution began a new journey. A spark of fire can start a prairie fire, from Nanhu to Zunyi, from Jinggang Mountain to Yan'an, the Chinese Communist Party has used millet and rifles to create a brand new world, and our motherland has been reborn in the baptism of history.
  • In the blink of an eye of 70 years of history, our motherland ushered in her 70th birthday. The old China was riddled with holes, and the people were struggling to live in the past. Looking back on the past 70 years of history, our economy has developed steadily, our science and technology have achieved fruitful results, our sports have advanced by leaps and bounds, and our comprehensive national strength has been increasing day by day. From overseas Chinese workers being bullied, to Qiao Guanhua laughing at the United Nations, from the dazzling "No Chinese and dogs allowed" sign hanging at the gate of the park, to the Chinatown Chinatown rising all over the world at this moment, we have proved to the world with facts that the Chinese people have stood up and China has taken off. Yuan Longping's hybrid rice broke the fallacy of former US President Harry Truman that "no government can solve the problem of Chinese people's food"; the Chinese who relied on foreign fires and foreign cars in the past made atomic bombs and hydrogen bombs with their own hands, and also sent the Chinese into space; the Chinese, formerly known as the "Sick Man of East Asia", picked gold and silver in this Olympic Games, occupying the second-place throne, and will bring the Olympic torch to this magical red land of the East in 2008...
  • Seventy years have passed, and under the hard work of several generations, China's giant ship of 10,000 tons has once again ridden the wind and waves and set sail. The surging vitality in my chest makes me deeply proud, because I grew up on this red land, because I am one of the thousands of descendants of Yan and Huang. Holding the baton passed on to me by history, I feel that I have a great responsibility on my shoulders. I am even more aware that only by studying hard and striving for knowledge can we better contribute to the construction of socialism and better support the building of the Republic with steel and iron bones. On the birthday of my motherland, let me sing the sincere voice of a Chinese child
  • [I'm busy today and don't have time. I'll give you more tomorrow. The feeling of coming out of the history class.]
