In the meantime, Damien, Joel and Avery were back to back with one another reading each other's moves and helping each other with the large group of people that came after them as Ella and Stella worked together to get any stragglers that were around. Avery used his natural ability to be able to suck the life out of people by mere touch, which worked quicker than he remembered it doing. While Ella used her charm to look like Reyna to use the abilities she was able to use. Damien knew very little magic but knew how to use daggers so that’s what he used in turn of having Avery’s back. While Joel was using a two sided sword that was magic infused to take down those around him.
As the group was dwindling down Lucian and Andrea came down with their wings out. “Children get out of here Now!”Lucian shouted
The Teenagers all left out quickly and the dragons swooped down to grab the teenagers before the building blew up and became inflamed. Stella screamed for her parents as she teared up. Zeph looked to Stella. “Stella-they are fine. Reyna had told me once that flames do not harm your kind.”
Stella looked at Zeph sadly. “R-Really?”
“Yes, Really.” Zeph stated
Stella hoped that he was being truthful as they watched the building burn until it collapsed. The two fire dragons went down and went through the rubble of the flames and came out with Lucian and Andrea who weren’t harmed at all by the flames.
“Mom! Dad!” Stella said happily
Zeph smiled seeing the elder two. Andrea and Lucian smiled at their daughter. “We’re fine, baby girl. Don’t worry about us. Now we were told there are lurkers around here. Lucian and I are going to find them. Stella, we've placed a spell on you for us to be able to track you wherever you are. So stay with Reyna and Joel.” Andrea stated
Stella nodded her head. “O-Okay!”
Nala then spoke up. “I’ll be taking all of you to see Reyna now. Hyun, Bro’s and Shy follow me, okay?”
The dragons nodded their heads before she flew off with Avery and Ella on her back. When she got to the large kingdom William and Bryce were waiting for them outside of the gates. Once the dragons turned human Bryce spoke up.
“Nice work everyone. Now the only thing that needs to happen is for Reyna to face Amara one on one. Which she can train her little butt off for now with time.” Bryce said clapping his hands
William had his arms crossed as he heard Bryce speak, once Bryce was done speaking he spoke up.
“All of you have done well. Zeph-I must say that I’m impressed with what you’ve done with the power given to you. You did the unthinkable.” William said praising the young male
Zeph’s eyes widened. “T-Thank you Lord William.” He said bowing his head
“Reyna is resting at the moment, so for now you all will be given tasks to do to up your strength and power. For the dragons you all will be given hard work to do since you all will be carrying those who ally themselves with Reyna.”
“Will we be able to see Reyna?” Stella asked worried
“You will-in time. But she hasn’t rested in a long while. She must rest to be able to overcome what is going to happen to her.” william said with a nod of his head
At that time a yellow dragon flew towards where they were and landed. Hyun instantly changed back to his dragon form and kept all of them safe as he narrowed his red eyes at the yellow dragon. “Why the hell are you here Mina?!”
“So the little smoke dragon has teeth now huh? You’re not that strong. Get lost short pint.”
Hyun took a deep breath before he blew smoke straight at the yellow dragon causing her to fall down weakly.
“I AM TOO STRONG YOU PATHETIC BRATTY *! I DON’T CARE IF YOU ARE THE ELDEST OF YOUR KIND’S CHILDREN! YOU AREN’T WANTED OR NEEDED HERE! LEAVE NOW!” Hyun yelled angered
The angel that rode on top of her got off of her and flew in between the two dragons. “Hyun-please calm down. We didn’t come here to provoke you. We came here to help Rey. Where is my beloved younger sister?” Astra said sadly
“Tch-yeah right! I don’t trust you! You let that * hurt reyna! I don’t want you around Reyna!” Hyun growled out as he narrowed his dragon eyes at the angelic female
“Oi angel *, come down here. Let’s chat for a moment.” Joel shouted
“Rude…But fine.” Astra stated before she flew down and was face to face with Joel “What?”
“I want to know what exactly happened when Reyna was around you and that pathetic woman you call your mother. Something *ed off Hyun and I have a suspicion to think that’s not how he usually acts.” Joel stated
“No, he’s usually calm, collective and rather intelligent.” Zeph commented “When I met the two of them Hyun was very protective of Reyna and made sure that no one came close to her or her wings.”
Astra let out a sigh and frown. “Unlike you, demons-angels must earn their wings. There are different types of wings that angels can earn. Low is white and silver, Middle is blue and white, high is white and pink and high arc is white pink and gold. My mother and I have high wings-which has been normal for anyone in Mirfield to get. No one other than my grandfather has ever gotten high arc wings. It was seen as impossible to get wings that were of high arc status.”
Astra shook her head and hugged herself. “My mother boiled with envy when she saw that Reyna-someone who was half angelic got such wings when she never even was able to get such wings. My ex-husband, who was general of the angelic army, attempted to pull and detach the wings that are part of her person. Luckily Hyun was there to keep that from happening-but because of the envy that overcame my mother…Reyna was banished from the kingdom.”
“And what did you do throughout all of this?” Joel asked
“I…I did nothing. I didn’t think I could do anything.”
“I could think of a lot of ways that you could have kept * from happening sister.” Reyna said coldly
“R-Reyna…I…well…um…”Astra said flustered seeing Reyna
Reyna saw Stella and Joel which made her smile. “Welcome cousins, do come in with your dragons. You two will be safe here I promise you.” She said before she looked at Hyun and Nala. “You two did well today-take Avery, Zeph and Ella in as well. I can deal with my half sister.”
“Yes Reyna.” The two dragons said in unison
Once she was alone with her angelic sister, her dragon, Damien, his dragon and the two gods. Reyna let her demonic wings show as she had her arms crossed. “What purpose do you have here? Has grandfather made himself known?”
“Y-You know about grandfather Gillens return?” Astra said shocked
“I do, he was the one who gave me the confidence to be able to do what I must. So I ask again what purpose do you have here?”
“I wanted to plead to you to come back. With grandfather in charge again your ban is gone.”
“Declined. This is my home. This is where I will stay. You are no sister to me. Neither you or Luma have ever shown a single strand of what being an elder sibling is supposed to be.” Reyna stated before she looked at Damien. “Damien, come here please.”
Damien did without question and Reyna looked him dead in the eyes. “I must ask this of you, the information you were given of me. Was it truly me or was it of Luma?”
“After speaking with your lovers Zeph and Avery-Luma. I had no idea before talking with them that you had not one-but two elder half sisters who treated you like *.” Damien stated “I do apologize for my words to you in our first encounter.”
“Apology accepted, now tell me-those who scouted around the angels. What did they see and report back?”
Damien looked at her unsure. “Are you sure you want me to say what I was reported?”
“I am. Please, you will not be harmed, I will assure that.”
He took a deep breath before he placed his hands behind his back together as he looked directly at her. “Scouts from the kingdom of Mirfield reported back four different times. First time was seeing the princess of prophet having lunch with her angelic mother. The second time was seeing being courted by an elder male. Third time was seeing the princess of prophet using ice magic upon the weak of her kingdom when they wanted food, shelter and for illness to be away from loved ones. The last time was seeing the princess living within the dragon den of the yellow dragons.”
Reyna was quiet for a moment before she shut her eyes and placed her hand on her sword. “Ryse…please come out.”
Ryse did and she instantly went straight for Astra placing her hands on her wings. “YOU DISGRACE!!”
Astra fell backwards and her wings turned white and silver before Ryse glared down at Astra. “You are no child of mine! How could you to my people!?”
Astra teared up. “B-But goddess…T-They deserve it!”
“NO ONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED LIKE *! I didn’t raise any of my angelic children to treat those lesser than them like that! With your wings I hope you get what is coming to you!” Ryse said *ed
“B-But…Ryse please have mercy on me!” Astra begged with tears in her eyes
“* no! I’m not going to be as soft with my children as Tyche was with hers! You get the harshness of the karma that is coming to you! Get the * out of here! GO HOME!”
Astra teared up before she went back onto her dragon and flew off, Ryse huffed out before she looked at Damien. “ah…I thought I heard your voice Damien.”
“Y-You know who I am ma’am?” Damien asked
“I do-My name is Ryse. I am the goddess who created this lovely world and the *ty ass angels that have it coming to them. I am the one who knew of the prophet that was to come to pass. You my dear are a big part of her life, though you are not bound to her by marking-you will be her rock to keep her from completely losing herself.”
“So what will I be to her?” Damien asked
“The only standing lover in the end.”
“Only…wait what? Does the other three die?!” Damien asked shocked
“No-no…they won’t die but they will stray from her after her job is done. Avery will go with someone closer to him. Zeph will go with Ella and Hyun will get with Nala. I have talked things out with Bryce and she will become a demon once more when she is reborn. Where she’ll be in the kingdom of Militia only a demon will be able to get to.”
“Which will be?” Damien asked
“Tyche’s temple.” William stated “After all is said and done only demons will be allowed in there because of the disloyalty.”
Damien looked at Reyna concerned. “A-Are you okay with that?”
“I have already made up my mind about what will happen, it is why you are out here and they aren't inside the gates.” Reyna stated with her hands in her pockets. “Because you will become my ultimate lover-you are the person I want the most time with. And because you are of demon blood you and I will be able to take over the throne with my grandfather Onyx choses to leave the throne once more.”
“Well *. What about Luma?” Damien asked curiously and confused, he didn’t want to end up taking a position that belonged to her elder sister.
“Luma isn’t a problem. My grandfather will be sure of that. No doubt my father and sister will be stripped of their titles so they will never be able to hold power over anyone ever again.” Reyna said seriously
“Very well then. So with that being said, what do you want to know about me reyna?”
“Everything and anything.”
“That’s a lot for me to go through Reyna, in time I will tell you things. But for now-what is most important for you to know?” Damien stated
“You stated before you were forced to be a Jeckle walker, why didn’t you say ‘* you’ to your family? What did you fear being all on your own?”
“Ah…that. Well I guess that is important to know. If you must know-I was the eldest of four children. My siblings looked up to me, had I done that, what type of example would I have made?” Damien said sheepishly
"Hm, seems like you actually knew how to be a good elder sibling. Something that neither one of my elder siblings know how to do due to being spoiled to the core of their being.” Reyna said with her arms crossed
“It seems that way, Yes. Anything else?”
“How much of your demon blood are you tapped into right now? I know everyone is different so I’d like to know just what I’m going to have to do to get it so you are my main source of protection.”
“Ahn….that…that’s a question I honestly don’t know how to answer. I don’t know what is considered part of the demon blood and what is not.” Damien said honestly
Reyna was in thought. “Do you know how to cast magic?”
Damien shook his head no. “I cannot.”
“That’s a big problem-all demons should be able to cast magic now with Goddess Tina giving everyone back the ability to do so. That will be something I’ll be helping you do, which isn’t a problem. It’ll soon be one of the things that comes natural to you. Now, next I must ask. How are you at sword play?”
“I don’t use a sword-I use daggers.” Damien said as he pulled out his two daggers spinning them within his hands before he placed them back.
“Well that’s better than nothing. Are they regular daggers or are they demon daggers?”
Damien raised an eyebrow at her. “There’s a difference?”
She giggled a bit. “Yes…yes there is.” She said with a nod of her head.
She then took a dagger from her boot. “This is a demon dagger. The hilt is black from acid and ice dragon scales and the blade itself was magically infused by the moon and fire dragons.” She stated handing him the dagger
He held onto it before taking out one of his own. He compared the two before he gave hers back. “Mine aren’t like that, they must be regular daggers.”
“We’ll need to change that. Those will break on you in time. Demon daggers never break.” Reyna stated before she looked at Bryce and William. “How long will you two be around for?”
“Until you fight Amara, I’m not leaving you to fight that maniac * alone.” William said seriously
“About the same amount of time for me, I have souls to collect in different places. There’s no way I’m going back down to the underworld just yet, little lady.” Bryce said with a grin
“Alright then, would you two be able to help me get Damien up to strength and speed so he can have my back?” Reyna asked
William walked up to her, placing his hand on his chest in a fist before he went down on one knee. “I would be honored to help him, in the heat of battle is what I am most well-known for. So I can help him with that.”
Reyna smiled “Thank you, I’m going to have to ask Tina if she’d be okay helping me get his magic up and running. Her being the goddess of Magic and all.”
“That would be a good start.” William said getting up “I do believe Tina will do anything to make sure that Amara doesn’t win this.”
Hearing William speak made her feel unsure of herself. “D-Do you think that I will fail and that I will die?”
“No, I don’t believe that one bit. Even if you do not fight to shed blood-you are strong. The only person that you are supposed to kill is Amara to make the prophecy end. Afterwards-what you do is your own.”
Damien saw how stressed Reyna looked and spoke up. “I have to ask-why Reyna? Why someone who was rejected by both of her parents and had a *ty ass time growing up? She wasn’t even raised as a demon or an angel. She was raised by a bunch of wraiths, one who will back stab her in the end. I don’t see why she has to suffer through so much. Her life is already *ed up.”
Ryse spoke up. “Do you truly believe how she is raised should matter to how she is formed and come to be Damien? Do you understand what would happen to her had she been raised by either her demonic father or her angelic mother?”
Damien looked at Ryse, sadly shaking his head. “No…No I do not.”
“Her demonic blood doesn’t allow her to show weakness, had she grown up with her elder sister Luma, had she followed in her elder sister's steps she wouldn’t have been able to wield me. Her elder demonic sister wishes nothing more than destruction and chaos throughout the realms. I can assure you that it wouldn’t have been good at all for her.” Bryce stated seriously
“Her Angelic blood is almost as bad, you see if she had gone with her angelic blood and done as her mother had done in her trial for her angelic wings. She would have gotten the same wings as her mother and the pathetic woman that is her elder angelic sister she wouldn’t have been anything more than a carbon copy of that pathetic woman. There would have been no way in hell she’d be able to take on the trial to get the marking of the elementals.” William stated with his arms crossed
“The reason she lived the life she lived is because she had to be different from her siblings, from her parents. I know it’s more than a bit drastic how things have happened for her. But that doesn’t mean that it’s a bad thing, sure in the end the wraiths and elementals will turn their back upon reyna. But that’s okay, once I am out of my sword I will be taking care of things up above making it so all of those who once stood beside her pay for abandoning her.” Ryse stated with her hands on her chest where her heart was
Damien frowned a bit as he looked at Ryse before he looked at Reyna. “Your life is so complicated…How do you keep going on?”
Reyna let out a weak sigh before she looked down ashamed. “Honestly I don’t know, when I had first met Goddess Tina…I had requested her to kill me. End my life totally and completely. I knew my mother wouldn’t want me, I knew that my father never wanted me either. I figured if they didn’t-who would? But she refused, instead she had the time line rewind and things became better for me. Which in the end…wasn’t too much better. But I did become stronger and smarter than before.” Reyna stated honestly “The only thing is…I still don’t believe that I can do what is being asked of me.”
She then looked at Damien sadly. “I’m no fighter, yes I have Ryse’s sword. Yes I know some swordplay. But to be able to fight my way through a battle with a literal reaper?” She said before she shook her head “I don’t know if I’ll be able to do that, I might die. If I do I don’t know if I will still have both my angelic and demon blood within me.”
“Oh you will…it is how you are my dear. You are Reyna, the half demon, half angelic born. Princess of the prideful and envious, tis be how things are for your life. I will say though, it will be a tough time for you to be able to get strong enough to fight that man off.” Bryce said seriously
Ryse and William nodded their heads in agreement. “Which is why while you slept Sandra, Tina and Tyche all made a barrier around this place only those who are friendly towards you may see this place.” William stated “It will be up until you leave the barrier.”
Reyna was stunned to hear what William stated. “Toni had mentioned to me in my sleep that I was going to have time on my side and that as long as I kept building myself up that I would be able to get as strong as I needed to be able to defeat Amara. He said he saw three different outcomes, two were good-one was really bad.”
Ryse looked at Reyna curiously. “What were the outcomes? Did he tell you?”
“He did Ryse, he told me the bad one first. He said the worst possible outcome is that Amara wouldn’t be alone, that he would have his first few children and his wife with him. That they’d all be controlled by him. That it wouldn’t be just me that would die-anyone who stood beside me would die as well. If that were to happen death would arise everywhere and this planet wouldn’t be as it is now flourishing with life.”
Bryce, William and Ryse looked at one another sadly with concern. It was obvious that they didn’t want that to be the outcome of it all.
“How does that become its outcome?” William asked
“I left this place before I was ready, I only would have taken those who are tied to me. Meaning Hyun, Zeph, Avery and Nala. The others weren’t there. None of us were strong enough. He pleaded with me to stay here until I was strong enough to take Amara on.” Reyna stated
Ryse took a deep breath. “And what of the other two outcomes? They are better yes?”
Reyna nodded her head. “Mhm, they are-supposedly. He told me the best possible outcome is that I don’t fight Amara alone. That I fight side by side with Damien, that he and I together fight off the reaper male. That when the sword I have shattered Damien shields me from the holy blast that comes from the seal breaking and I don’t pass on. That my redo of life never happens, but Amara is eliminated from this world completely.”
“And what of the others?” William asked
“They aren’t there, it’d be just Damien and I.Toni believes if Amara feels threatened by a large number of people that he will summon out his family and place them at risk.” Reyna stated
“Well *, so what’s the middle outcome kiddo?” Bryce asked curiously
“All who follow me and those who are friendly towards me hide within the forest as I call out for Amara, when he and I fight they give me cover from anything he may place towards me protecting me. But in the end I die due to the blast from Ryse’s sword.” Reyna stated with a sigh
“I’d rather you not die.” Damien interjected. “I don’t want to have to deal with a bunch of bull * from people I don’t know.”
Reyna giggled a bit. “If that’s the case, we’re going to have a long road ahead of us Damien. Are you sure you’re ready to work your ass off?”
“I have one don’t I?” He asked sarcastically
She laughed with a smile. “Touche.” She said before she looked at William. “We’ll start with his sword combat and go from there. I need to make sure that the others know what will happen.”
“Of course.” William said with a nod
Bryce patted the top of her head. “Work your ass off kiddo. I’m rootin’ for ya.” He said before he disappeared
Ryse placed her hands together. "I look forward to seeing the progress that happens with you, Reyna. There is so much more you need to do dearie."
"I know Ryse…and I will do what I can to make sure that things work out well enough to make sure that the only one that dies is him."
Ryse nodded her head and went back into the sword before Reyna looked at Damien. "Ready to go in and start?"
"Sure thing, the longer we procrastinate the longer it'll be for things to get done." Damien said with a smile
"I couldn't agree more with you, demon." William stated
