The next day when Reyna woke up, she let Zeph and Hyun sleep. Instead she got the sword of Ryse and she chose to call upon the goddess, she hadn't spoken with the goddess since the beginning of her elemental spell training. So it was a long time due for her to talk with the goddess of the world she lived in. When Ryse saw Reyna she smiled at the young red haired female. "It's good to see you after so long, Reyna, how have you been?"
Reyna looked down upset as she shut her eyes. "Not well…I…I have a lot to tell you about Goddess Ryse. I do hope you brace yourself for what I'm about to tell you." She said sadly
Ryse looked concerned. "Child, what has happened?"
"I want to first state the important things then go from there. Firstly, I am no longer on good terms with the eldest of Lord Lou's children. He has rejected me not only as his marked mate, but as his partner for the wraiths. He refuses to protect me any longer. For a while I was paralyzed and almost died from the rejection he had given me. In his stead for the wraiths I have found myself in a pact with his younger brother Riki." Reyna said sadly
Ryse placed her hands over her mouth in utter shock, she couldn't believe what she was hearing. But refused to speak until Reyna was done speaking.
"Next is I have finally after half a year-I have mastered casting all of the elements. Malo, Aquina and Alana were very good teachers. I am proud to have learnt what I could from them and became stronger with the knowledge that the three of them gave me."
Ryse realized she said nothing about Tamaya and raised her eyebrow at her. "What of Tamaya?"
Reyna averted her eyes. "That woman has her priorities mixed up. Zeph and Hyun kept me from dealing with her nonsense. She wouldn't do as she was told. Instead of helping me out with learning to do the earth magic that I needed, she chose to have a very intimate relationship with Damien. Which in turn made him cocky and I had to place him back in his place with Lord William watching the entire thing go down. I told Damien after that fiasco that he needed to get his head on straight, that he needed to drop Tamaya like a bad habit and get himself back on track or he would be left behind. Apparently he took that to heart and afterwards while Riki was helping with what I needed to know, Tamaya came up to us and…well yeah."
Ryse sighed out and shook her head. "Goodness me, hopefully Tina will deal with her."
Reyna nodded her head as she looked back at Ryse. "She already has, Tamaya is no more than dust now. Apparently Tamaya had the gall to call her a 'whore ass geezer with no real talent'. Tina didn't spare anything with that woman."
Ryse laughed a bit. "Hearing that amuses me, I figured that Tina wouldn't go easy on her but hearing that…well that just makes me happy to know that my friend still knows how to take care of herself."
She nodded her head. "Now..there is one thing that I don't know if I should tell you or not." Reyna said bashfully
Ryse raised an eyebrow at the young woman. "Oh?"
Reyna cleared her throat as she messed with her fingers rather nervously. "I…I have a lover now." She said weakly
Upon hearing this Ryse's wings came from behind her as she looked overjoyed with her hands together. "Oh that's wonderful!" She said happily "Let me guess it's Riki right?! To make Avery jealous."
Reyna shook her head no. "No, I am merely friends with the wraith prince."
Ryse was stunned and sat down on her knees in front of Reyna curiously. "So, who did you choose?"
"O-One of the other boys I'm marked to be with." She said sheepishly
Ryse hummed out in thought. "If it was Hyun, I would have smelt the smell of my traitorous husband on you. But I don't…so it has to be Zeph. It's an interesting choice but I can understand why. He can not only protect you but he can heal you as well. On top of that once this is all said and done he is the youngest of his royal blood line which makes him the perfect person for you to be with for this lovely kingdom."
Reyna nodded her head. "He..He's been rather kind and sincere to me. I'm happy to have known him and be so close to him." She said with a small smile "He gives me the security I never had around Avery."
Ryse hummed out before she got up and grabbed her blade. "I could only guess what having that insane male around you would have done to your mind and your body Reyna. Now..since you've mastered the elements that you need, you are ready to truly wield my sword."
Reyna got up to her feet and wiped her hands on her clothes, she then went up to Ryse and got the sword from her with both of her hands. Once Reyna had the sword she stepped back a few before she held the hilt with both of her hands.
Ryse smiled at Reyna happily. "Alright, let's try what I had you do once more. Hopefully there won't be a barrier for you to go through and you'll be able to harness the power that I have impacted into the sword."
Reyna nodded her head and she shut her eyes, she calmed her breathing as she had to for her fire magic training before she placed herself within the sword. She felt the holy power from the sword go through her veins. She then felt herself being sucked deeper into the sword to where she saw the true form of Ryse. She looked a lot younger than she did in the form she was used to seeing her in. Reyna bowed her head towards the elder woman who smiled at her. "Even here you are loyal and brave. Here you will learn how to use this word and its powers."
"I am willing to learn everything that you have to teach me, Goddess." She said sincerely to her
Ryse placed her hands together. "Very good Reyna, let's get started. We're going to start off by placing all of the magical elements into this blade. It will become a magical cushion for what will be next. We will start off with Fire and end with earth."
Reyna nodded her head and got up from where she was to stand in front of the goddess. The two of them then joined hands as they casted together, first a fire protection spell. As they did the spell she felt her demonic side stir inside of her which worried her as she looked at Ryse with a frown. "Goddess…my demonic side."
"I know it will react to the fire, it's going to happen." Ryse said calmly. "Tis how Tyche made the demonic race to be."
Reyna nodded her head and they continued on, when the water protection spell was casted she felt her demonic side calm down and cease to uproar inside of her, she felt the elemental sigal glow and radiate a loving embrace around her, as if it was Zeph giving her the protection she needed. As they began the ice protection her angelic wings were brought forth. Ryse held her hands tighter as she smiled at her. She then shut her eyes as she started the earth incantation.
While the earth incantation started Reyna felt the same warmness she felt when she had done the water protection. She felt as if Riki was there to protect her from any harm if she needed it. Once the protection spells were casted Ryse let go of her hands and smiled at her as she opened her eyes.
"That's step one of many, now dear I need you to tap into both of your bloods at once. Can you do that?"
Reyna looked at her unsure. "I don't know if I can do that. I barely know much of anything about my demonic side and I can't really say much about my angelic side either other than I wish to destroy my mother for how harsh she has been towards me."
"Get out of the sword, we're getting Tyche's ass into the temple and she's going to be a better goddess to you. I can't believe I'm hearing this right now." Ryse said with a huff
Reyna did what she was told only to see that she had Zeph and Riki on either side of her which freaked her out, making her step back a few paces. Both males held onto her as she was about to fall. As they did she let go of the sword only to bring the two males down with her, Zeph was quick enough to take the brunt of the fall for her as she landed on him instead. She whined out as she held her head. "What the hell was that bull *?!"
Ryse laughed a bit. "You my dear just got a taste of what it's like to be half dead. Hence why your lover and wraith companion are here. They sensed your life leaving you and came here to make sure you didn't die."
"T-That was *ing hell!" Reyna said sitting up
Ryse laughed even more as she held her side. "Happens when one's soul gets embodied into a sword….now…you need to go and pray to Tyche to get her stupid ass down here."
Reyna nodded her head as she looked at Zeph. She kissed him on the lips softly. "Thank you dearie. It means a lot to me that you'd be here for me."
Zeph smiled sheepishly at her. "Y-You're welcome, I made a vow to protect you and I wish to keep that."
Reyna then looked at Riki and hugged him. "Thankies for being here, I'm glad to have you here. Had it been your useless brother things would have been different."
Riki hugged her back. "You're welcome, I pledged to keep you safe and I meant that."
She smiled and let go of him before she took a deep breath. "Right…now onto Goddess Tyche." She said before she went to the altar to go and get everything ready to pray to Tyche and get her from above.When she did the prayer to Tyche, it didn't work-which confused both Reyna and Ryse.
Ryse looked at Zeph and Riki curiously. "Zeph dearie, you have met up with the goddess of the demon race before yes?"
Zeph firmly nodded his head. "I have."
"Do you know if that woman is roaming around this kingdom?"
"She is, I believe. She was summoned down by Goddess Tina and Lord William to deal with Damien."
Ryse raised an eyebrow at the male. "Okay I understand Tina, but william too?"
"William was teaching the pathetic demon male up till recently, when he told lord William that he didn't need the gods help. Goddess Tina and Damien fought with magic-with Goddess Tina winning in the end. Both Lord William and Goddess Tina called forth Goddess Tyche who dealt with him since he is of demonic blood." Zeph explained
Ryse sighed out before she rubbed between her eyes. "Do you mind going to get Goddess Tyche, tell her that she can deal with the useless demon later, the prophet needs her guidance."
Zeph bowed his head and he left out quickly. Reyna sat down on the ground as she looked at the sword. "I have to ask…is the reason I was given the second chance at life from Hades…is it because of the effect of your sword?"
Ryse hummed out a bit before she picked it up from the ground. "Nope, that's not it at all." She said as she looked at Reyna "You were given such a gracious gift from the lord of the dead because he believes your path to peace is a *ed up one. Even now without Avery at your side, there is a chance you will not be able to completely kill off the reaper Amara."
Reyna looked down sadly. "If that's still a chance, why have me go through all of this trouble to begin with?" she asked sadly
Ryse frowned and looked down sadly. "I have no idea what to tell you, it's just how it is kiddo."
"Don't give the prophet despair Mother, she needs to have all of the support she can get to be able to defeat Amara." William said seriously as he came into the temple, but he didn't come in alone
Eric came into the temple with him, Eric didn't look all that amused at the current state of things. Ryse frowned hearing what her son said to her. "But William dear, she's going to end up getting killed."
"Toni is the god of time, you know this mother. He has seen the prophet in her sleep more times than not about the probability of her being able to defeat Amara. Reyna, when was the last time you have spoken to my younger brother?" William asked
Reyna stood up as she rubbed her arm softly. "Last night."
"Did he speak to you about the outcome of you facing Amara?" William asked
She nodded her head slightly. "He did, he had mentioned that the reason I had such a low percentage of defeating Amara is because of Avery's dark aura. But he has detached himself completely from me…it doesn't matter what I do I will be victorious because of the bonds that I have with those around me. He told me that as long as I can harness the power of the sword that without a doubt I'll be able to defeat him."
"Take Toni's words to heart. He may not be here to supervise your progress or to get to know you as I have. But he knows what he's doing and saying. You are learning all that you are to become stronger as a person to be able to put peace among the world of Iclamar." William said seriously
"I gotta say I never thought the god of time would be able to do such a feat, but I will say Reyna, while I've been around Amara-as long as you hold yourself up with optimistic views and believe in yourself and those around you, you will come out on top." Eric said seriously
Reyna looked down sadly, in defeat. "I've lost all of that when Avery chose to detach himself from me. Sure I still have Hyun and Zeph…and I love them both dearly. But that's something that I figured would be a cushion to losing, Avery and possibly Nala if she ever leaves my side."
Eric was unamused by the lack of motivation Reyna had, it was obvious the words of Ryse were burned into her mind. He marched up to Reyna and held onto her shoulders firmly before he shook her gently. "Get the hell out of your head! You are a prophet! You are the only damn person that is able to keep that * from ruining this planet!"
Reyna teared up as she looked up at the green haired male. "B-But…I'm just a child, what can a mere child like me do against someone who has death on their side?! I'm exiled from my angelic blood and my demonic blood wants nothing to do with me from my birth! I'm hated and unwanted! You have no idea what that's like! Your life is a cakewalk compared to mine! You just chose to go *ty routes for your own *ing life! I don't give a * what the gods think of me anymore! I've never been wanted by anyone in my family since the mere day I was *ing born! I got lucky having Zeph and Hyun being as loyal as they are to me!" Reyna yelled as she sobbed out
Eric let her go as he realized she was at her breaking point, Riki frowned as he heard her speak. He knew he had no place to speak, so he kept his mouth shut. "And to top all of this off the one man that I thought would love me unconditionally forever LEFT ME! Just because of something that * Aphrodite told me! She made me be forced away from Avery! I loved him more than anyone and now he hates me and its all on her! You have no idea what it's like to feel someone who is bound to you by a *ing mark you never *ing wanted just for them to reject you all because of some prissy * ass goddess that thinks that they know your life more than you!"
At that time Tyche came into the temple and she saw the condition that Reyna was in, she heard everything that Reyna spoke as well. "I see, you've finally broken down. I was wondering when it would settle in…You've gone through a lot and it was odd that you hadn't gone off before now. I will say your emotions and words are valid." Tyche said calmly before she looked at Eric. "You shouldn't have shaken her or raised your voice at her when she's already fragile minded."
"She needs to get the hell out of her funk or she's never going to be able to fight off Amara! This isn't time to talk about *ty feelings." Eric said *ed
"Being human for as long as you have, I would have thought that you would have known that females have a lot more emotions than males do."
Eric scoffed as he rolled his eyes. "Whatever…" He said before he walked out of the temple. "That woman is going to die sure as *."
Tyche sighed out and shook her head before she went up to Reyna and wiped the tears from her face. "Dearest Reyna, you are a child of mine and as such I will never cast you aside. There is a reason for everything in your life. It is to make you stronger and make you wiser. I know that you loved and adored Avery, but I must show you just what has happened with Avery since he left your side months ago."
Reyna nodded her head. "O…okay."
Tyche took out a crystal from a pouch she had on her side before it glowed and it showed the Militia kingdom. In the kingdom it showed Loma and Avery hand in hand with one another, both of them had rings upon their left hands. Both of them looked rather happy with the other. It wasn't long before Loma spoke up looking happily at Avery.
"I am so happy you ditched my pathetic younger half sister, I told you we made a good power couple!"
"I have apologized many times Princess Loma about what I had said. I was a fool to think that your crazy dumb half sister was better than you. At least you show me that you love me, she never did. She always placed me last-you never have. I will always love you."
Hearing those words Reyna went from being depressed and upset to being full on angry with Avery and her half elder sister-her demonic side completely took over her body-her once pale looking skin turned a dark ebony red as she had two horns that curled three times out of her temples as her dark raven wings took their shape twice their usual size and behind her a tail that split three times all will spear heads shaping behind her. Tyche grinned and took her own form with grace before she placed the crystal in her pouch.
"You did so well going into your true form, I'm so proud of you. The Crystal I showed you was a crystal of true fear. What you feared was losing Avery to your elder half demonic sister…Which brought this part of you out. I know you haven't tapped into that blood due to the ignorance of your demonic father. But I wish to help you out with that part of your life."Tyche said calmly
Reyna's green slit eyes calmed down hearing that it was a fear crystal and not the truth. She soon completely calmed down and changed back almost instantly, when she did she noticed that Riki had hid himself behind William. Reyna looked down, upset. "Do…Do I scare you Riki?"
"Kinda? I've never seen you that angry before."
She sighed out and shook her head. "This is why you aren't allowed to be more than a friend to me. Had Zeph or Hyun seen me like that-they wouldn't have cared. I'm me no matter what."
"Are you sure about that?" Riki asked concerned
Reyna nodded her head before she looked at Tyche. "How do I keep that form?"
"Well, you now know what your biggest fear is. You must keep that fear and anger inside of you. The demonic blood bond is connected to that of Anger and fear. *ed up-I know, but it is the opposite of what Angelic blood bonds are." Tyche stated
Ryse nodded her head in agreement. "Angelic blood bonds are made by channeling what makes you the happiest and brings you the most joy."
"So…how would I do both at the same time?" Reyna asked confused
Tyche cupped her face softly and she pressed her forehead against Reyna's. "I will show you in your mind child."
Reyna shut her eyes accepting the knowledge she was given by Tyche. When Tyche gave her the knowledge Zeph came back, but he didn't come back alone. He had within a solid piece of ice-Avery who he had slid into the temple. Once the duo parted ways, Reyna kept her eyes shut as she kept herself calm enough to be able to place up her angelic side but hostile enough to bring her demonic side up. She then opened her eyes to see that she had both sets of wings behind her.
Reyna looked super excited as she looked at Ryse and Tyche. "I did it!"
Both females clapped their hands happily. "Well done, not many in your shoes would be able to do it on the first try. Nicely done…Now…while you were doing that, Zeph came back…but he didn't come alone."
Reyna was confused only to see that he had Avery in a box of ice. She sighed out. "Did Alana help you out Zeph?"
Zeph nodded his head. "She did, she hated what he had done to you and did this before he even spoke a word."
"I see…I'm not going to completely melt him, but I do want to know why the * he is here." Reyna said as she walked up to the male
Reyna then melted where his face was with a simple fire spell, once he was able to speak he let out a gasp of air. "Reyna…thank goodness you melted me. Alana attacked me, I wanted to see you. I need to warn you about what's going on."
She raised an eyebrow at him. "Why the hell should I even try to trust your ass. You rejected me! Not only as my soul mate, which hurt like a * by the way! But as my protector! I have no reason to trust you!" She said annoyed
"I know I *ed up, I know I shouldn't have done that. But please listen to me. I beg of you. It's about Oakhart and Militia…please Reyna…"
Reyna looked at Tyche "Do you know of any spell or anything that could keep someone from lying?"
"There is, let me get Tina." Tyche said before she left out
Once she was gone William glared at Avery. "You have balls of *ing steel to come back here."
"You gods made the protective dome around this kingdom for her to be safe and to only have people be able to see and pass through it that won't harm her am I correct?"
William stiffened up hearing him speak. "Yes…you are correct."
"So why the hell am I able to get through if you think I'm a threat to her? Don't you think the magic barrier would know if I have ill intentions towards Reyna or not?" Avery asked
Reyna blinked her eyes a few times. "Well…damn. You have a point Avery. I'm going to completely melt you so you can warm up alright?"
"Thank you reyna. I knew you were smart." Avery said with a smile
She was quick to melt him before she went to Zeph's side and held onto his hand as she wrapped her arms around his arm. Zeph smiled as he looked down at her, he was happy that he didn't have to worry about her going towards Avery or trying to rekindle what love they had. Tina soon came into the temple with Tyche. Tina was unamused to see Avery but knew he wasn't a threat due to the magic dome.
"What are you doing here child?" Tina asked unamused
"I want to talk to Reyna but she refuses to let me talk to her until she knows that I will only be speaking the truth."
"With every right-Alright I got it." Tina said before she gave him a black bracer that was around her neck and placed it around his neck. "This was once a gift from a past lover of mine that couldn't trust what I said so he gave me that. If you lie, Reyna will know by your gasping breath and only she'll be able to get that damn thing off of you."
Avery nodded his head before he looked at Reyna, he was upset to see that she had bonded with Zeph throughout his time away from her but he knew he did it to himself.
"I want to first apologize to you for how I've treated you when we talked before, after I got back home aphrodite was waiting for me and she completely railed on me up and down for what I had done to you. She said that if none of my brothers came here to swear their protection towards you that I would have killed you. Luckily you've befriended Riki who saved you from that. I need to admit that I was wrong to have done what I have and because of what I have…I no longer hold the mark of the flower that bonded me to you." Avery said before he lifted his shirt to show her that he was being truthful
She scoffed. "Serves your ass right. What did you want to tell me about Oakhart and Militia?"
"They are about to go into war…my father isn't bowing down to your grandfather. He refuses to see your grandfather as the true king of Militia. I don't want to lose my siblings or my home because of my father being a *wad. Your grandfather already called back your Aunt Andrea and uncle Lucian to Militia-I saw them there with my own eyes. You need to stop this from happening."
She let out a sigh before she rubbed between her eyes. "One thing at a damn time here…Do you know how long it'll be before the war happens, Avery?"
"Yes, they're staging everything for two months from now." Avery said sadly
Reyna let out a sigh and she looked at Ryse. "How long will it take for me to master the abilities for your sword?"
"Now that you can look like that? Not long, tonight if you wish you should be able to fight off Amara." Ryse said with a smile
Reyna looked at Avery once more. "Once I have defeated Amara, I will go back to Militia and I will do what I must to keep the peace. Even if it means taking down your father who is already on my * list of people that I wanna smash their skulls into a damn wall."
