Ryse blinked her eyes a few times. “Holy damn, well then. Looks like you had traveled a long while.”
“It took me a week to get here. My loving mother has proven to be better now Goddess. She has taken me in and has shown loving intents towards me unlike my ungrateful father figure.” Reyna said with a smile as she held her mothers hand tightly.
Ryse’s eyes widened in shock before she looked to Emilia who stiffened seeing that the goddesses eyes were on her. “My dearest Emilia, I know the birth of your second daughter was one that made you rather hysterical-and that my dear was not your fault. I know what had happened with your second daughter was one that you had no control over. What you saw and what actually happened are two different things. I trust your words. To the demons you had raped that disgusting demon man who is your second daughter's father figure. But to you it looked like your fallen lover, who was the father of your first daughter.”
Emilia’s eyes looked down sadly, she was ashamed of herself. Ryse went up to her and she made her look up. “Dearest Emilia, You are not at fault here. Demons can mix up truth with fiction. But you cannot deny that the young woman who stands beside you is not your daughter. She is much your daughter as she is his. Though I will say her demonic blood is weaker than her angelic blood.”
“I...it is? How am I to see if she can really become my angelic daughter?” Emilia asked
“The trials my dear. All angelic royalty goes through it, you and your kin had gone through it yes?” Ryse asked
She nodded her head. “Yes goddess, we have, as has Astra and her cousins.”
“Now it’s Reyna’s turn. It is not too late. She is yet to turn the age of eighteen.” Ryse said seriously
Emilia nodded her head. “Yes...of course. I have one question for you goddess...if I may ask it of you.”
“Of course, what is it dear?”
“The soul mark mating system...just how many people of the same marks are there?” Emilia asked
Ryse was in thought. “From what I’ve gathered there are one female and three males with the same marks. The marking system is rather fickle.”
“My daughter has one of the marks, yet one of the males that have the same marking as her is in bad light with her. I’d like to find the other two males and see if they are someone she can fancy to be beside her. She deserves to be loved and happy as much as anyone else in this world.” Emilia stated sincerely
Ryse was surprised to hear what she had from Emilia, then looked at Reyna who looked down flustered hearing her mother speak. Ryse smiled before she looked at Emilia once more.
“I am happy and pleased to hear that one of my own children wants the best for her children. If that is what you wish then I can help in that aspect, Reyna dear I need you to place the sword with my spirit on the altar please.”
Reyna did what she was told only for Ryse’s spirit to be fuller. “Give me ten minutes, I’ll be back very soon.” She said before she left.
There was a glow from the sword for a few seconds before it completely left. Afterwards Reyna looked at Emilia.
“Mother...what you told the goddess...is..is that true?”
“Of course, your elder sister already has a lover who works in the military most of the time. It is very close to the time where you are of age to be formally known as a princess of this beloved kingdom. Now tell me about the male who you knew that had the same mark as you.” Emilia said seriously
Reyna nodded her head. “ I don’t know where to start with him...He’s a complicated male to be around mother.”
With Avery, he couldn’t believe that Reyna had left him alone with Jessica. He didn’t think that after her knowing what they were to one another that she’d leave, just what was she trying to prove? Once Reyna had left Jessica had smothered his arm holding onto him tightly. “Lou, with her gone I can move my things into Avies room right? She’s not a problem no more.”
“Out of the question, Avery you knew what Reyna was to you and you chose to ignore it didn’t you?” Lou asked
Avery frowned as he looked down ashamed. “I didn’t think she’d care for me like that...it’s why I didn’t do or say anything.”
“Well because of your crap choices, you have lost the chance to have our kingdom intertwine with that of the demon kingdom. I don’t know if you realized this but you aren’t special to the demon princess. You are one of three males she could have easily gone to.” Lou said seriously
Avery’s eyes widened in shock. “W-Wait what?! How is that possible?!”
“It’s called the love balance law, it’s something that the gods long ago placed into effect after one of the gods had managed to place peace in this world centuries ago. Of course those who once lived back then would never realize what would come to happen nowadays.” Esta said with a sigh
“So you’re saying that someone else could be with her and I could be without her?!”
“That’s exactly what I’m saying son, it’s why I’ve been urging you to get close to her. Had I known you’d ignore my inquiries and such I would have made my intentions more known.” Lou said shaking his head
“So what do I do now?” Avery said sadly
“You have two choices in front of you right now son. One you can remove the angelic leech from your arm and go after her or two, ignore what you now know-letting the princess be with someone who may or may not harm her and be with the leech for the rest of your days. Who may I add does not have the blessings of your mother and I.” Lou stated seriously
Avery pulled Jessica off of him and he placed his dark smokey wings out. “I’m going after Reyna, no way in *ing hell am I letting her leave me behind for someone else!”
“Smart choice, you better get going son. You have limited time.” Lou said with a stern nod.
Avery nodded his head and flew off only for the angelic woman to follow after him and tackle him down to the sandy ground as she had her palms on his shoulders. “You are not leaving me for that prissy *! You’re supposed to be my boyfriend not hers!”
“I thought I could love you, but I am bound to her. I refuse to let her go. I cannot love you Jessica. Let me go!”
“Like *ing hell I will! You’re not leaving me!” Jessica hissed out coldly
“Lord Bryce, a bit of help please!” Avery shouted
He heard a dark chuckle before the male showed up near him and grabbed the woman who was on top of him off by holding her by her head. “Wow she’s ugly. Go before she leaves Militia.”
“Thank you my lord.” He said before he got up and flew off rather quickly ignoring the screams of pain from Jessica. “Please don’t leave Rey...I don’t...I can’t be without you.”
When he got to the kingdom of militia the royal guards let him through and he was able to go to the throne room where he saw the lords of hell arguing with one another.
“...wouldn’t have left had you been more stern with Luma! She’s gone now because of you! You call yourself a lord of Militia but cannot even manage to do peace and equality between your own daughters! So what if Reyna is half angelic that doesn’t mean that she should be treated any differently!”
The lords all looked at Avery as he came into the throne room. Dex went up to him as he looked to the younger male sadly. “If you’re looking for Princess Reyna...You’re too late son. She has already left Militia. The ice dragon here by the name of Shyla has told us that she has gone to the kingdom of Mirfield to be with the angels.”
Avery had a mixture of emotions go through him before he looked at Reyna’s father. “This is your doing! Had you been fair and nice to Reyna she wouldn’t have left! You’ve always played favorites with Luma! I don’t care that Reyna was half angelic; she meant everything to me! Now none of us will ever see her again! If she dies with the angels it’ll be on you! She isn’t as strong as she looks! She hides a lot so she wouldn’t be teared down! Had she been treated fairly by you she would have known what it’s truly like to have demonic blood within her! But you just had to push her onto my father! You are no lord, you are a coward! A lord would know the difference between lies and truth, a lord would know the meaning of equality. But you don’t! You let your favoritism for Luma get in the way!” Avery said angered
“Will you all get off of my ass about that *! I don’t care! I don't care about her or about equality or about what has happened. There is no way to change what has happened so get off of my ass!” Zavier said getting angered
At that time Zavier felt a pull on his throat and fell to the ground before there was a dark cold female voice that spoke echoing within the throne room.
‘You don’t care huh? You don’t care about your own kin, your own flesh and blood. You are no lord, you are no child of mine.’
“Who's there?!” Nile shouted as he stood up
‘I am the reason you all are here, I am the creator-the mother of all demonic beings great and small. Without me you all would not be standing where you are.’
Avery’s eyes widened in shock. “Goddess Tyche.”
‘Ah the lovely wraith knows about me, it’s good to see someone knows me. You speak so passionately about my child, for that I will grant you one wish.’
“I wish for her father and demonic sister to know the agony she’s gone through as a child ten fold. I wish for them to see and feel just what they’ve placed her through.”
The dark female voice laughed before Zavier was pulled up off of the ground by a black and red smoke before being engulfed into a dark black crystal.
‘No one is to tamper with the crystals. Until the wish is fulfilled they are to be encased in the crystals. Only when they realize their mistakes and have repented will they be released. If repenting is not achieved after ten years they will die and their souls forever lost. My children be nice to one another. And young Wraith, my sister is proud of you for standing up for yourself and using your will power as you do. As am I, once you get to your own kingdom and go to her temple will she give you something to help you on your quest to find my child.’
Avery nodded his head. “Thank you goddess, I will go now.” Avery said before he rushed out, he couldn’t believe that Reyna was already gone, that it took her an entire week to get there. He knew he was going to have to do some serious ass kissing when it came to seeing Reyna again.
When he got to Tina’s temple again he saw her waiting for him. “Hello child, I know you wish to see Reyna..and I can help you with that but you need to promise me that you wish to see her because you love just her with all of your heart. As of now she is with her mother and angelic sister in Ryse’s temple in mirfield.”
“Yes, it’s why I went to Militia to stop her...but I was too late” Avery said sadly
Tina smiled before she held out her hand to him. “Give me your hand child. I will transfer you there without you having to do the travel and you can tell the princess yourself just how much you love her.”
Avery nodded his head and placed his hand in Tina’s who placed a magical barrier around him before transferring him from one temple to another with the help of Ryse who was happy to see that Tina was getting Avery. When the two goddesses returned to the temple in Mirfield Reyna stepped back a bit as she saw Avery between the two of them.
Emlia looked at her daughter concerned. “What’s wrong dear?”
“Avery! What the hell is going on here? I would have thought you’d be enjoying your leech!” Reyna hissed out coldly
Avery knew she’d be cold to him until he gave her the whole truth. “Reyna, please calm yourself. I am aware that you hadn’t like what had happened in the kingdom of Oakheart, Lord Bryce had already taken care of that problem. Please...just let me show you that I love you...that I care for you princess.” Avery said as he placed his right hand over his heart
“Oakheart? So you’re the guy she is firstly marked to be around...you’re not that good looking.” Emilia said as she looked him up and down
“I’m not looking to please you ma’am, I’m here to appease your daughter. She’s the woman that I love and I won’t settle for anyone else.” Avery said shaking his head
Astra sighed out as she looked at Reyna who looked like she was about to burst into tears. Astra went up to Reyna and hugged her tightly. “Calm yourself sis, it’ll be okay. Deep breaths.”
Reyna hugged her sister tightly before she nodded her head as she placed her head against Astra’s shoulder. She then took deep breaths only for her third one to bring out sobbing tears from her, before she fell to the ground. Astra fell with her sister to keep her company and let her know that she wasn’t alone. Emilia glared at Avery. “See what you’ve done to my daughter?! If you loved my daughter you wouldn’t have done This to her!”
Avery frowned as he realized that unlike her father-her mother did love and care for her. “I never wanted her to be like this.”
“Well because of you, this is something she’s held onto for years. The agony and pain she’s gone through is nothing to your people.” Emilia hissed out coldly
“Now-now Emilia, calm yourself. I realize you are protecting your daughter but this boy is here because of his love for your daughter. He has been blessed by three gods already, he is not here for harm.” Ryse said seriously
“Goddess how could you side with someone so dark and cold?!”
“He is not, you stereotype those in front of you by the filth that was fed to you as a child. Just because your parents and those before them do not get along with those of the darker kingdoms does not mean that they are all bad.” Ryse said seriously
Reyna soon got a hold of herself before she got up and she wiped her eyes before she walked up to the altar before she looked directly at Avery. “Tell me Avery...will you accept me if I chose to show my angelic side instead of my demonic side?”
“You’re you no matter which side of your blood you chose.” Avery said with a smile
She smiled as she teared up, she then went around the altar before she hugged him tightly. He sighed out in relief as he hugged her back. “I’m sorry for making you run off Rey.”
“It’s okay...I hope you realize I’m not leaving my mother. She actually loves me.”
Avery petted the back of her head softly. “I’m happy one of your parents do Rey, if she makes you happy and loves you I won’t take you from that. You deserve to have happiness and love from one of your parents. I just ask you to visit me when you have time..alright?”
Reyna nodded her head as she looked up at him. “Alright, I can do that Avery.”
“Good, I’m glad to hear that. I’ll be looking forward to talking to you again Rey.”
Reyna nodded her head again as she let him go. Tina smiled at Reyna. “You’re a good kid, I’m glad this time when I see you. You’re not asking me to kill you.”
“Well whatever happened last time, didn’t happen this time between certain people. So the dark thoughts aren’t there anymore.” Reyna said with a smile on her face.
“I’m glad to hear that. Remember my children are never far from you Reyna.” Tina said before she took Avery and left. Once it was just Ryse and the three of them, Ryse looked to Reyna.
“Reyna, I know you have the mark of the wraiths who are aligned with the demons. Your elder sister and those after her have failed the trail to be aligned with the elementals here. You are the last of the angelic blood of your time that can take the trial...that is after you pass your angelic trial. That must be the first you do.”Ryse said with a smile
“How do I go about doing that Goddess?” Reyna asked
“You must first be bonded with one of my kins dragons, for that to happen you must be at full strength. So the morrow we can go about doing that since my soul lives within your sword I will forever be at your side.” Ryse said with a smile
Reyna nodded her head. “Okay, I can work with that...I haven’t had a good night's rest in two weeks.”
“I know you haven’t, I wish you hadn’t done that to yourself dear. But I understand your life hasn’t been all that easy on you and I won’t dictate it. Just know that I am here for you dear.” Ryse said sincerely
Reyna smiled a bit. “Thank you goddess. That means a lot to me.”
“Of course dear.” Ryse said before she looked to Emilia. “Now you better do what is supposed to be done to prepare her for her trial, if you don’t I will know and I will strip you of your title and wings.”
Emilia stiffened and nodded her head. “Y-Yes goddess..O-Of course.”
Ryse then looked to Astra. “I’m happy that you are the better sister that Reyna has, guide her well and be sure that you show her what it truly means to be part of a family.”
Astra smiled. “Of course goddess. It’ll be my honor to do so.”
Ryse then left going back into the sword before Reyna picked the sword up once more. “Mother...I’m tired. May we go home so I can sleep?”
Emilia nodded her head. “Of course dear, we can do that. Tomorrow we will start your training and get you up to speed and see just where you are in your education.”
Reyna walked out of the temple with her mother and sister before going back to the ice castle once more. She then went to sleep in her own room and curled up on the bed after changing into comfortable pajamas that were laid out for her. She slept for many hours without stress and pressure on her. When she woke up she saw that Astra was beside her.
“Morning little sister, time to rise. In five minutes it’ll be breakfast time.” Astra said with a smile
Reyna nodded her head as she got up, she then dressed herself in a different white and pink dress before she went out of her room where Astra was waiting for her. When Astra saw her sister they walked into the dining area where there was a mysterious red haired male sitting at the table. Astra’s eyes lit up before she rushed up to the male and hugged him before kissing him on the lips. “I’ve missed you Kolby!”
“As I’ve missed you, The queen has told me that you have a younger sister? What is this bull * nonsense she speaks of?”
“It’s not bull * nonsense.” Astra said before she smothered her younger sister as she was sitting down. “This lovely little girl is my adorable younger half sister.”
The male stood up straight and narrowed his blue eyes at her. “You will be watched, your mother told me that you came from the demon kingdom across the seas. I don’t trust you.”
“Well I don’t trust arrogant *s who think they can control my big sis and who she’s around. Just cause you got a big ass sword and a title doesn’t mean *. I’ve known people who are stronger than you who hold weaker titles than some titles in the military.” Reyna said seriously
The male pulled his sword out on her and placed it at her throat. “Take that back you *!”
Reyna stayed calm as Astra glared at her husband. “How dare you pull your sword out on my sister!”
Reyna smiled at Astra. “It’s fine sister...it’s fine. If he wishes to show out his ego...let him. It must be what he gets for the constant ego boost in his work.” Reyna said before she grabbed her own sword and slashed through his breaking it into pieces before placing her sword at his throat with her green eyes narrowed. “Don’t think because you are in the military that you have ground to speak on when it comes to me. I am a princess, I have every right to be here by blood. You are only allowed here because of what you are to my beloved elder sister. Bite your tongue and sit your ass down.”
He grumbled a bit as he threw his broken sword to the side and sulked into his seat before she placed her sword back where it was and looked to Astra. “See, I told you I was fine.”
Astra shook her head. “You are something else sis.”
“I’ve learnt to do swordplay and how to use this sword by the wraiths, their lord is rather intelligent and fair. Which I am rather proud to call a friend who is close to my heart.”
Astra nodded her head and chose to sit by her sister instead of sitting by her husband. When the others came into the room Astra looked to her mother. “Mother, may I speak to you about a pressing matter?”
“Of course dear, what is it?”
“Commander Kolby hasn’t been able to give me a child since our marriage two years ago...and he has threatened dearest Reyna here with his sword. I do not believe he is proper to be at my side. I would like to retract my marriage from him and pursue someone who will be loving towards Reyna and be able to give me an heir to the family.”Astra said sincerely
Emilia’s eyes widened in shock. “Oh my...I hadn’t thought that it was a problem for you to be with the commander. But if you feel that passionately about not being around him-then I will agree to have it be demolished today. We can do the proceedings while your sister finds her dragon.”
“Of course, thank you mother.”
Kolby couldn’t help but glare at Reyna. “This is bull *, why are you breaking up with me because of that *?”
“Don’t talk to my sister that way! For years now I have wanted nothing to do with you. What you’ve done with my sister was the last damn *ing straw!”Astra said seriously
“Tch, that girl doesn’t belong here. I bet you guys are all hiding something from the kingdom. I’m going to find out what and make damn sure that woman is exposed as the fraud she is!” Kolby said as he pointed to Reyna
“Well good luck finding lies, you’re not going to get anywhere.” Reyna said as she finished eating. “Mother, I am done eating may I be excused from the table?”
“Of course dear, outside waiting for you is one of the royal guards. They will take you to the dragons den and have you be bonded with one of them."
Reyna nodded her head as Kolby scoffed. “No way will she be ‘bonding’ with any dragon from here. She is an outcast and will always be one. Go on and waste your time, see where that takes you outcast.”
Reyna ignored him as she left the castle and a male with blue hair and eyes came up to her and bowed his head. “Good day m’lady. My name is sergeant Syton, I will be escorting you to the dragons den today and keeping you safe while you are there.”
“Thank you Sergeant, I look forward to having your company today.” Reyna said with a sincere smile
The two walked from the castle and he took her into a carriage which was a first for her. She always walked from place to place, but it was nice to be able to sit down and look at what was around her. Once they got to the dragon's den she saw how different it was from the one she knew that was made out of pure magma and dark cement. The one for the angels was made out of pure ice and white cement. When Reyna was let out of the carriage she was escorted to the den only for the two of them to be stopped by two dragons.
“None may enter without good reason.” A dragon said seriously
“Jacey, this is princess Reyna, she is the queen's daughter. She is here to see if she has a bond with one of the dragons here.” Syton said seriously
The dragon named Jacey looked at Reyna before she puffed out smoke from her nose. “Fine, I’ll let the queen know.” before the two dragons flew off.
“Rude..just who were they?”
