‘Keep your guard up kid, I feel hostile energy around here. You may not be getting out of here without a few scratches.’
‘I’ll be fine, I can protect myself and I have Zeph. He seems rather keen on protecting me.’
‘Even if that is the case, don’t do anything too reckless and stay on your toes.’
Reyna looked at Zeph and held onto his hand tightly which made him look at her for a moment only to squeeze her hand. As they were led into a room Maya and the other shapeshifters bowed. Reyna and Zeph followed in suit only for the King to speak unamused.
“Who are you miss and what are you doing in my kingdom with an Elemental?”
Reyna stood up straight and placed a hand on her heart. “My name is Reyna, your majesty. I am within your territory due to wishing to go back to the land of Militia where my father is. The elemental beside me is only helping me past the middle ground since I am not versed in anything worthy of being called ‘fighting’ skills.”
The king scoffed. “I highly doubt that you have the filthy mark of their kind on your skin.”
“I was able to be around his kin due to showing a pacifist type of way of life. What was given to me out of pity nothing more. I am a weak female with nothing to my name.” Reyna said shaking her head
The king wasn’t buying what was being said he looked to his eldest, a female with dark red hair and mint green eyes. “Ella dear, show this woman that she is wrong. That she is spilling lies from her mouth.”
The female got up and nodded her head. “Yes father.”
The female went down the five steps before she pulled her sword out of her sheath. “Use your own to fight me off you liar.”
“I do not know how to use Ryse properly.” Reyna said shaking her head
The female scoffed. “We’ll see about that. Do as you’re told or be killed.”
Reyna sighed out before she pulled her sword out and with shaky hands she held Ryse. Ella could see that her hands were shaking and raised an eyebrow at the red haired female before her. “Do you fear battle?”
“I do not know how to properly fight, I’ve never been taught.”
Ella looked at her confused. “Then how did you get such a sword?”
Reyna placed down Ryse and she frowned. “I went through a trail that all royals of militia go through being that I am the youngest princess to King Zavier, Though I did not grow up with my elder sister Luma-I went through it with her. As part of the trial my elder sister and I went through a portal to the realm of ents where this sword was stuck inside a rock. It had made my sister paralyzed for a bit but I was able to get it out.”
“You are a royal?!” The king stated “Why had you not said anything about that before?”
“I’ve been told my status as a royal does not matter outside of my kingdom so I do not speak of it. My father is King Zavier Militia and my mother is Queen Emilia Estella.” Reyna stated sadly
The king got up from where he sat and he went past his daughter to the young red haired female. He grabbed the sword from her grasp only for it to drop out of his hand as he became paralyzed. Reyna was quick to grab the sword as she looked at the king sadly. “I did warn you all about the sword. Please don’t touch Ryse, she doesn’t like anyone who isn’t friendly towards me to touch her.”
The queen sighed out. “I apologize about my husband. He’s been trying to get his hands on the sword of Ryse for centuries. Hearing that the sword you carry is the sword he wishes to have, he got over his head. You wish to travel back to your father, yes?”
“Yes ma’am, if it’s not too much to ask.”
“It is not. You will be escorted to the pier by Ella and her cousins that brought you here. They will take you as far as the pier to the Vampire kingdom. From there you will be on your own with the elemental that you came in with.” The queen stated as she had her hands on top of one another
“I’m more than okay with that. Thank you, your majesty.” Reyna said as she bowed her head respectfully to the queen
The queen smiled a bit. “For a woman who has mixed blood you sure are respectful.”
Reyna smiled weakly, “I’m not exactly liked by my own blood-either side of it really. I was raised with other people who are very polite and respectable. So even though my own blood doesn’t care for me, I do my best not to be like them and not care for others. I...I wish to be the complete opposite of who they are.”
The queen looked at her sadly. “I see, well I hope things work out for you dearie. Ella dear, take the princess to the pier. Have her be on the next fiery to the border between the vampire and human kingdoms.”
Ella turned to her mother and bowed her head. “Yes mother.”
Ella then motioned for Reyna and Zeph to follow her, as they did with Maya and the other children. When they got outside Ella’s eyes widened seeing the white dragon. “Holy cow...is..is this your dragon Reyna?” Ella asked
Reyna nodded her head. “Yes, his name is Hyun.”
“Can he become human yet?” Ella asked
“He can.”
“He’ll need to be, he won’t fit onto the ship otherwise.”
Reyna went up to Hyun and hugged him. “Alright big boy, I need you to be your human form. I know you like your true form but for now until we get onto land again you need to be your human form.”
He whined out before he did what he was asked. Ella then took all of them to the pier. When they got onto the fiery boat Reyna and Hyun had gotten sea sick for most of the trip. Half way through their journey to the middle land, the boat had stopped and a few people came onto the boat from the water. Those who were used to the waters knew that the mermaids were to make sure that no one or thing got past them without inspection. One mermaid stared at Reyna, Zeph and Hyun. “You three aren’t usuals we see. Who are you three?”
“My name is Reyna, beside me is Zeph a water elemental prince and Hyun a smoke dragon. We are on our way to where my father lives in the militia kingdom.”
“Oh wow, you are a Looonnnnggg way from home girly. How did you even get to the fridge cold anyways?”
“I had an ice dragon fly me there. But she left not long afterwards.”
“Ahn, I see. What business did you have in the ice kingdoms?”
“My mother is Queen Emilia Estella. I wanted to see her. In the end I did meet up with her but I also ended up getting Hyun as my dragon partner.”
The mermaid backed away from her a bit. “My apologies ma’am. I had no idea you were royal blood. I’m Katsu Nakuma. I will let the others know that there’s more than one royal on this ship. We all know about Ella-but not you miss. Give me one moment.”
The Light purple male walked off quickly to a small group of people only for them to soon after look at her as she gave them a weak smile. A trio came up to her and the female of the trio looked her up and down. “You don’t look like a royal, how do we know you aren’t bull *ting us right now?”
Reyna sighed out as she shut her eyes. “Do you know about the royal angelic family?”
“The Estall family? Yeah, what about them?”
“The queen is my mother.” Reyna said as she stepped forward and she displayed her wings. “She kicked me out of her kingdom due to my wings.”
Reyna then opened her eyes as they looked at her in utter shock. “We...We’ve never seen angelic wings like that before!” One of the male said shocked
“They have to be fake. No one has ever had wings like that!” The other male said before he grabbed her wings and went to pull on them only for Hyun and Zeph to grab the male’s wrists tightly.
“Do not touch our lady's wings. They are fragile.” They said in unison as they looked rather peeved.
The male let go of Reyna’s wings and walked back to his place. Zeph then went in front of Reyna. “Reyna is my bound marked mate, if you want to get to her you will first have to go through me. She does not fight but I do.” Zeph said seriously
The male scoffed. “That’s laughable, an angelic being that doesn’t fight ha! All angels in one way or another have to be able to fight, that's how they gain their wings dumbass!”
Ella then went up to them. “Zeph speaks the truth, she would not put up arms against me. Her hand shakes if she does. She is a pacifist which is strange for her kind I won’t disagree with that. Her mother is the queen of the angels and her father is the king of demons. I would not cross her if I were the lot of you. Mina, Katsuki, Izuku-I’m well aware that you three do not like strangers, but they aren’t going to be on this ship very long. They only wish to get the princess back to where her father is.”
Mina placed her hands up. “I ain’t messing with royalty. If Ella says she is then I’m going to listen to her. You boys get in trouble, I ain’t doin’ *.” Mina said as she walked off away from the small group
The two males looked at one another before they walked off and the mermaids all left out. Reyna placed her wings back and Zeph looked at Ella. “How long were you going to watch them terrorize us?”
“I had to see for myself that she would not raise her sword to people. And she hadn’t, which means you all have earned my trust. I will be going against my mothers words and joining the lot of you if that is alright with you?” Ella stated “I do not like it at home, it is boring and something I hate.”
Zeph looked at Reyna. “What do you think princess?”
“She may come of use, Ella you are more than welcome to come with. Just keep in mind violence is a last resort.”
Ella’s eyes lit up hearing Reyna speak. “Yes, of course. Since I am to travel with the three of you. I would like to hear how this all came to be.”
Reyna sighed out. “Oh jeez...that’s a rather long tail to tell.”
“We still have a long way to go, princess, we have the time.”
Reyna leaned against the side of the boat before she shut her eyes. “I hope you like long stories-cause this one...is no short fairy tale.”
Reyna then explained how her parents had met and how the demon and angelic war happened, then about how she ended up being with her father only for things to go downhill for her. She mentioned how she first lived with the dragons that were tied to her family name. The Acid dragons, one of them who happened to be tied with her named Nala, was her close friend and the only one whom she had trusted at the time. They would do everything together since they were mere children. She then told Ella about how she met up with Avery and Avery’s father King Lou of the wraiths.
Reyna then mentioned how she met up with the goddess of magic and how the goddess of magic, fate and the god of the dead all worked together to rewind time for her and avery after she wished for her own death. She felt like she was worthless and useless due to how her father had treated her. She didn’t want to kill her elder sister which was forced upon her. With the rewind her sister was kept alive and she instead lived with the wraith prince. She chose then to go through the trial of the demons to earn her spot in her family, breaking all of her sister's records and even getting Ryse from the stone.
Afterwards she went to the dragons once more to get the ice dragon to go see her mother. If her father didn’t want her-surely her mother would have changed her mind about her. And she had. Reyna stopped as she looked down sadly before she sat down on the boat. She laced her hands together as she thought really hard about what had happened with her mother and sister. Ella could see what had happened had torn the poor girl up.
“Reyna, I have to ask...just how old are you?”
“Sixteen, in two months time I’ll be Seventeen.”
Ella shook her head. “That’s insane, no child your age should have to deal with such things.”
“I’m no normal child Ella. I am a product of two monsters. So that in itself makes me a monster as well. I do not wish for anything more than to rid myself of the blood that makes up what I am inside. But to do that I know would internally kill me and probably externally do so as well.” Reyna said sadly
Ella sat down in front of her and placed her hands over Reyna’s. “You are a strong woman to go through what you have on your own..”
“I haven’t told you everything yet.”
“I don’t wish to overload you, so you can tell me another time. Why don’t you take Zeph and hyun down to the resting hold and rest up while you can. It’ll be a while longer before we dock.”
Reyna nodded her head. “O...okay.”
Zeph and Hyun helped her up before they took her down to rest. While Reyna lied down to Rest both males were on either side of the hammock she lied on. They looked at one another knowing that they would have to watch over the woman that they both loved and adored so much. They never knew she went through so much. Hyun never thought to ask Reyna about her past, it wasn’t like he wasn’t interested in it-he was. Just he didn’t want to seem rude to ask her about what she had gone through.
Zeph on the other hand knew better than to think that Reyna had it easy, from how she thought and how she brought herself up around others. It was rather easy to see that her life was one that was filled with a lot of strife and hardships that she had to go through all on her own. She was a mere teenager who had a life of pain and suffering ahead of her.
Zeph really hoped that he and Hyun could lessen it and hopefully talk with Nala and Avery about getting them to help out with protecting her properly. While Reyna slept Reyna felt herself in a familiar place that she had once talked to the goddess of fate in. But instead of her there were more than a few gods around her looking at her in judgment.
You dear child have gone through much even though your journey has just begun.
It is time that you learn about why it must be you that goes through with bringing peace among all of the land
“Not to sound rude...but who the hell are you people? I don’t know who any of you are. None of you are friendly known faces to me. Where’s Tyche, Bryce, Tina or William?”
They had said you’d feel confused without them around, they’ll be here shortly. I am Toni-Tyche’s husband and the god of time. If it wasn’t for me you wouldn’t have had your dragon companion Nala.
“Ahn...I see, so I’m being talked to by the rest of the gods in my sleep...great.” Reyna said sarcastically
At that time the other gods save for Ryse had made themselves known.
Hey kid, sorry about this. But you’re about to go through a * storm and you may or may not live through it if you aren’t careful.
Bryce is correct on that. You are a child of mine and I do not wish to see you perish. Because of who and what you are, you will find it hard for yourself to continue on as is.
“Goddess Tyche, Lord Bryce-are you two saying that there is a chance of me dying in the middle realm?” Reyna asked confused
Both of them averted their eyes as William sighed out. Child you hold my mother but war isn’t something you are known to do. As such you should up your ranks. The more people around you the more likely you are to survive. As of now you only have the four that are connected to you.
Reyna shook her head. “Not true Lord William. As of now I have one more to add too. Her name is Ella. She is a Princess of the shapeshifters. She has gained my trust as I have gained hers.”
A goddess to the side of William speaks up. One of my children is at your side willingly?
Reyna nodded her head. “Yes ma’am. Princess Ella has proven to be well versed in things that I am not and I am willing to trust her words and wisdom.”
William grinned a bit. Seems like you’re doing fine then. Have you met up with the mermaids yet?
Reyna scoffed, “Yeah, a small group of them wanted to rip my wings off.”
William looked to Bryce. Looks like your children still haven’t learned to leave angelic wings alone.
Bryce glared at William. I will literally cage you in the well of souls for ten centuries if you do not stop with your taunting child! The mermaids have a mind of their own, they have unchained themselves from me so I cannot do anything about them.
Tyche sighed out before she rubbed between her eyes and banished the two males from Reyna’s mind. She then went up to Reyna cupping her face in her hands. I know you have yet to forgive your father and elder sister from your demonic side and that is up to you to figure out what to do with. But I will warn you that you will see them in the middle realm. They wish to repent for their dark sins against you. I am not saying to trust them, I am merely saying to give them a bit of time to speak their peace.
Reyna frowned as she heard the goddess speak. “How will I know if they are speaking the truth to me?”
Tina went up to her and hugged her from behind. You poor thing have gone through a lot. I’m glad you haven't asked for death yet. I will grant you the gift of true hearing and speech. You will only hear and speak the truth until your death. Once you are dead you will be revived by my beloved and will have a choice of where you will be revived at. Since you’re doing all of this for all of us we want to give you a chance to live your life as you please once your work is done.
Reyna sighed out as she shut her eyes. “Very well, thank you goddess Tina.”
Tina gave her a small smile. Honey there’s no need to thank me, I should be the one thanking you. Without you around do you know how much disaster would go uncontrolled?
Reyna turned herself to look at the goddess. “I have no idea.”
Tina looked at Toni who snorted at Tina. Don't look at me, woman.
You wouldn’t be who you are without me. Come here now child!
Toni scoffed and went towards Tina and Reyna only for Tina to hold both Toni and Reyna’s hand. Reyna instantly shut her eyes feeling the magical energy inside of her as she saw what the world would be like without her in it. Avery would have killed himself over the death of Jessica, her father would have been assassinated by Luma who then would have been killed by her lover Zane.
Hyun would have been killed in his sleep and his scales used for armor and weapons, Zeph would have been outcast then killed by the other elemental families. The middle lands' would have made the waters between them and the militia and Estalla island so toxic that the sirens and mermaids would have died from it. All of the vampires would have died from going to war with the humans-but then the humans would destroy themselves.
After seeing what she had, Tina let go of both of them and Reyna was in tears. “H-how am I that important? If I am to die won’t some of that happen anyways?!”
Tina looked at her sadly. No, you have saved the life of those that are connected to you.
“All but Nala, I didn’t see her. She would have been fine without me right?”
Tina looked down sadly. I did not wish to show you what would have happened to your dearest friend knowing just how close the two of you are to one another.
Reyna looked at Tina seriously. “If I am to help people out Show me what would happen to my dearest friend.Don’t just show me my lovers just because of some stupid guilt trip! She is my very first friend and the person I trust the most for a damn reason Tina! If you want me to stay a pacifist you better *ing show me what happens to my beloved friend or so help me I’ll break Ryse’s sword and let her loose on you and the others!”
Reyna was more than *ed, it was very clear to see that Tina had angered the young female by not showing the female she bonded with the most. Toni looked at Reyna. Are you sure that’s what you wish child?
Reyna nodded her head. “I wouldn't have said so if I hadn’t!”
Tina and Toni held hands once more before they both held onto Reyna’s hands. Reyna shut her eyes once more to calm herself before she was shown the Dragons den near the demon kingdom. She saw that Nala and Torro were dead, their heads on pikes as Shadow and Axe were fighting with Shyla to keep the dragons alive from the demons that were lower class. The first of the three to fall was Axe then Shadow for protecting Shyla, Shyla rushed out of the demon's kingdom and went to hide in a forest afraid for her life due to being pregnant with a child.
Reyna let go of the two’s hands as she fell to her knees sobbing out. “T-They...They would have been gone too...H-How...How would things get that bad?! I’m not that important.”
One of the males scoffed Bull * princess, you are the one person who keeps the sanity of this world at level. Without you there is no peace, without you war ensues in so many ways and places. I know that you’ve had much happen to you but there is much more that will happen to you. You must get a hold of yourself and keep those whom are to be at your side with you for as long as you can.
Reyna stood up and wiped the tears from her face. “I won’t let my friends die because of me! I won’t see those I cherish be killed because of my ignorance! I love all of them with all of my small little heart! You all may see a ‘chosen one’ in me. But I’m not that special. I’m just little ol’ me and there’s nothing more to me. I will face what I must when I must. I will gain friends to help me along the way. I know how to word my way out of hurting people. William knows that all too well. Now will you all let me sleep peacefully for once?!”
All of them but Tina and Tyche left her mind. Tyche frowned as she looked at Reyna. “Dearie...This is all causes of me. I...I shouldn’t have pushed so much on such a little girl at your age.”
Reyna shrugged. “Right now I don’t give a damn, I want to see Nala and Avery to give them both big hugs and cry against them. I love both of them so damn much...I miss them. Not to mention Shy and Shadow...Torro and Axe. All of those guys. They’re my family, my friends. They mean so much to me.”
Reyna had turned somber and Tyche knew this all too well. Tina sighed out. “Well believe it or not-I know how you feel. You know before being how I am now, I was basically forced to take many lovers and birth too many damn kids. But because my children and husbands couldn’t do what I asked them, things went to * and all of them basically ended up killing each other or themselves over what had happened.”
Reyna blinked her eyes a few times. “Seriously?”
Tina nodded her head. “Oh yeah, you may see traces of them in the human kingdom or the vampire kingdom. But I assure you...if you run into anyone with the surname of Foster-you better *ing run your ass off. They are a bunch of psychos.”
Reyna nodded her head. “I’ll keep that in mind Tina...which I have to ask. When will you restore magic back? I hate having to deal with being one of a few that actually know magic.”
Tina huffed out. “Well...since I showed you what I had. I guess I can go and place magic back. It’ll take more than a month for everyone to earn back their right to know magic. Some places will have it better than others. It just depends on how mentally strong people are.”
Tyche chuckled a bit. “You did that to yourself little sister, you shouldn’t have shown her the life without her in it. Otherwise you wouldn’t have owed her such a debt.”
“Oh shush you!” Tina said as she scorned her elder sister
Tyche laughed. “Love you too sis. Enjoy your rest while you can, little princess.”
