Tyche then left with Tina not far behind her. It was a few minutes before she actually had a dream, a dream where she was living peacefully with those she loved and cared for without a care and without danger lurking around. Outside of her mind, Hyun and Zeph were both worried about her as she was crying in her sleep. As they landed on the shore Ella had come down to where the two males guarded Reyna. She smiled as she saw the two males. “We are at shore, but there are two strange characters out there right now. Do you two know a hyper raven haired female with greenish eyes?”
“Is she happened to be by a raven haired male with purple eyes?” Hyun asked
Ella nodded her head. “Yes. He doesn’t seem all that amused at the female.”
Hyun and Zeph looked at one another. “Looks like they really wanted to meet up with her huh?”
“Looks like it. Let’s wake her up. She’d be delighted to see the two of them again.” Zeph said before he turned himself to wake Reyna up.
Once the Red haired female woke up she saw that it was because of Zeph. “Yes?”
“We are docked and it seems like the two from Militia are waiting on the dock.”
Hearing that Avery and Nala were on the dock she bolted out of the hammock rather quickly and she rushed up the steps before she went down the ramp to hug both of them tightly with her demon wings out. “Avery! Nala!”
Both of them hugged her back before Avery kissed her on the lips, she happily kissed him back as she wrapped her arms around him tightly. “I love you so damn much...You know that right babe?” Reyna said to him
“Naturally I knew that. My life would be nothing without you.” Avery said with a smile
“I know that you need to promise me something Avery, and I do mean this sincerely. With all of that black hole of a heart of yours.” Reyna said as she placed a hand on his chest where his heart was.
He blinked his eyes a few times. “Of course, what is it Rey?”
“Promise me, if I ever die that you won’t go on a killing spree and kill yourself because I’m gone.”
He blinked his eyes a few times. “B-Babe...Y-You know I can’t promise that.” He said lowly enough for only her to hear
She sighed out and shut her eyes as she placed her feet on the ground. She then held his hands within her own. “I know how much I mean to you. How much my existence controls your emotions, I need you to know that if and when I die that I will be given a second chance by the gods. I don’t know where I’ll end up or how old I’ll be when I do get revived but you need to promise me as my lover and male friend that you’ll stay alive and wait for me.”
He shut his eyes and sighed out. “Knowing that you’ll come back, that you won’t stay dead. I promise you that I will stay in control of myself...for your sake.”He said as he opened his eyes and looked her dead in the eyes.
She smiled before she looked at Nala, she hugged Nala once more and she sobbed out against her. “I feel so damn bad for leaving you behind, but I didn’t wish for your death. Please forgive me Nala. You are my best friend and the only woman I trust with my life 110%.”
Nala hugged her back and rubbed her back softly. “Hey, hey...it’s okay Rey. Mother explained things to me. I know that I was a * when we last saw one another. I’ve been bettering myself so I can be of some help to you when things get rough. I know I was pretty damn dumb back then so I’ve had your uncles and aunt help me educate myself with what I’d need to know. It’s alright. There’s no need for the tears.”
Reyna didn’t stop crying though, she really didn’t like the thought of knowing without her-all of her friends and those she loved would die and perish. “You have no idea how much nonsense I’ve had to go through the last few weeks Nala...I’m just so damn happy to see you and Avery! To be around people I’ve grown up with and know I can trust with all of my heart and being.”
Avery looked at her concerned. “Lord bryce had said that you were going to be shown things that make you emotional...but I didn’t think it’d be this bad.”
Reyna stopped hugging Nala and wiped her eyes. “It...it’s really bad Avery. Really...really bad.” She said sniffling
It was then that the other three got off of the boat and went up to where Reyna was. Hyun and Zeph gave the duo a smile. “Seems like you two found yourselves here huh?” Zeph asked
“Avery here is besties with the lord of the dead.” Nala said pointing to Avery “Lord Bryce took us here and said we were needed to accompany the princess we swore to protect. So here we are.”
Zeph raised an eyebrow at Nala. “You aren’t as uncultured as you once were, you’ve matured.”
“I know I was a bratty child then. I’ve had a lot of help educating myself with the princes and princesses of the demon royals. There’s couple there that were more than happy to help me out and well, I took the help so I can help Rey more.” Nala said with a nod of her head
“That’s good to hear. Now before anyone questions. This woman here is Princess Ella of the shapeshifters. She is going to be traveling with us, Reyna has already approved of her being around us.” Zeph said as he placed a hand on Ella’s shoulder
Ella just smiled at the duo. “It’s a pleasure to meet the two of you. Seems like the princess is rather keen on the two of you.”
“Rightfully so.” Hyun said with a sigh
Reyna looked behind her and smiled. “Avery is my boyfriend, the one that I’m the most affectionate towards and Nala is my best friend and my demon chosen dragon.”
“Yet Hyun and Prince Zeph protect you as if they love you...what is going on here?” Ella asked confused
“Do you know of a place where we could talk? Like an inn or something? It’d be best for all of us to sit and chat about it.” Reyna asked
Ella nodded her head. “Yes. Follow me.”
The five of them followed Ella down many little streets before they managed to get a bakery type in. Within it was a small family of white haired neko-like people with pink eyes. Reyna’s eyes widened in shock. “The last founders.” She muttered
Avery, who was closest to her, knew what she was saying and held onto her shoulder. “Keep it to yourself, love, they may be hiding.”
She nodded her head as she looked up at Avery. “Right, I understand Ave.”
“No one but us knows who and what they are so let’s keep it that way alright?”
Richard came from the back and smiled as he saw Reyna. “Afternoon squirt, it’s good to see that you’ve gotten stronger and matured. I see that you have gained friends over the month since we first met.”
“Greetings uncle Richard, I have. There’s….There’s a lot going on and my relationship with father and elder sister aren’t as well as they should be.”
He nodded his head. “I’m well aware of that, I know that your father and elder sister have done you wrong, they are here and have been waiting for you for days now.”
Reyna blinked her eyes a few times. “Say what now?”
The male chuckled a bit. “I see he had mentioned that you wouldn’t know about them being here. You wouldn’t happen to know why he wouldn’t speak about it would you?”
Reyna sighed out. “Yeah...I do. I left home because of how he was treating Luma versus me. It’s just as bad as that dumb broad woman who happens to be my ‘mother’.”
Richard looked at her concerned “Oh no...please all of you come in and sit down. Reyna, is your name correct?”
Reyna nodded her head. “Yes sir.”
“Well Reyna, I’d like to hear about your family history before I allow your father and sister to see you. I want to know how they messed up. They wouldn’t tell me.”
Reyna raised an eyebrow at him. “Oh really? Well I have a treat for you uncle Richard”
Richard sat down backwards in a chair and listened to Reyna speak about who her mother was and how both of her parents treated her. How she ended up living with the dragons and Wraiths before meeting up with the elementals and meeting Hyun and Zeph. She also mentioned being able to talk with all of the gods when she sleeps due to them *ing her life over ten times over. After hearing what Zavier had done to his own child, Richard rubbed between his eyes. “That *ing moron. No damn wonder he was iffy about telling me *. Listen Reyna I will give you and your friends a place to stay here. I can see that you are on a very important mission and this is a place you can stay at free to rest up and heal yourself if need be. I just ask don’t involve my family into your nonsense, alright?”
Reyna nodded her head. “Alright, I can do that uncle Richard.”
“Good, glad to hear it. Now I’m going to beat sense into that * of a father of yours. While I do so, would you guys like anything to eat or drink?”
All of them nodded their heads and they were introduced to a hyper young girl who was about the same age as Reyna. “Hello my name is Reina! I’ll be helping you guys out today! What can I get ya!?” She said as she placed down menus in front of them.
Reyna and Ella were the only ones who could read the menu, so they had to tell the others what was on the menu before the others ordered before them. Reina took their orders before she took the menus and skipped off. It wasn’t long afterwards that they saw Zavier bolting from the side of the building due to his cloak being on fire.
Reyna couldn’t help but laugh as she saw her father’s cloak on fire. Zeph let out an annoyed sigh and helped her father out with his magic before he looked at the elder male unamused. “Ever heard of stop. Drop. and roll or are you too stupid to know that?” He said bluntly
“Excuse you, don’t talk to me like that! I’m a lord!” Zavier hissed out
“And I am bound to the woman you have casted aside, don’t think you are above me or her when you are not. You are just a good for nothing piece of trash who needs to roll over and die. You’ve done more wrong than good in Reyna’s life. She deserves better than you.” He said coldly looking the elder male in the eyes darkly
Zavier looked at his daughter to get her to pull back her little puppet, but Reyna was too busy talking with Ella about something else to even consider looking his way. “Daughter, come here right this instant!”
Reyna ignored him as she continued to talk to Ella, Ella looked at her concerned-knowing that her father was trying to get her attention. Zavier was getting more frustrated with his daughter and went up to her only for Zeph and Avery to intercept him. “You’re not getting any closer to her.” They said in unison
“Avery, if you know what’s good for you, you’d move. And you...I don’t even know what you are. Stay the hell away from my daughter. She shouldn’t have to be around someone with that dark of a skin tone.”
Avery and Zeph both took offense to what the elder male said to them. Zeph looked at Avery. “Take him outside?”
“Yeah, the furthest away from Rey the better.”
Both males dragged the lord out of the shop before they threw him into the water nearby. Zeph sighed out upset. “What he said seriously hurt...does it really matter that I’m dark skinned?”
Avery shook his head. “Dude blow off what that * said to you alright? He’s been *ing Rey off since she was six years old. She literally flew to my kingdom because of how *ed up her father had treated her. I wouldn’t be surprised if his way of looking at things has tainted over the years because of the * he *ed to get Rey. Thankfully she isn’t like that, she seems rather happy to be around you and Hyun. Honestly the only one you need to worry about for acceptance is the woman you’re bound to.”
“But she has you...Hyun and I..we don’t stand a chance with her. We don't know her as well as you do.”
“That may be true, but there’s a bit about Rey that I don’t know that you two know about. Like how she was around her mother, how she ended up with the mark of your people...I wouldn’t know how all of that went. I’d die in the cold.” Avery said before he patted the males shoulder “I think the best thing to do for us is to find the closest shrine for Aphrodite and ask her for help on this.”
“We should get Hyun and the three of us go there together. Reyna is in good hands with Ella and Nala.”
“That she is, we can ask Richard about it once we’ve eaten.”
Zeph nodded his head in agreement before they went inside, when they did Reyna was being held back by Nala. Avery saw why as they saw Luma not far from the two girls. Avery went between them and looked directly at Luma.
“What do you think you’re doing to provoke your younger sister?” Avery asked with a sigh
“I merely wanted to ask if I could have you. She doesn’t need all three of you boys. And you’re the cutest of the three males she happened to get bound to. So how about it?”
“No way in the life of all the gods am I ever going to get anywhere near you. You have Zane, he should be more than enough for you. Reyna is my girlfriend and I’m not going to give her up for second best. She’s my everything and you know that too. Unless you wish to die early.” Avery said with his hands in his pockets
Luma looked offended “I am not second best! I am the eldest. I'm the best person for the eldest of the wraiths to be with! Why can’t you just drop her for me?!”
“For the love of Tyche, get out of here! Zeph and I already threw that * of a father of yours into the lake. Wanna be next?” Avery said rubbed the bridge of his nose
Avery saw that she was going to slap him, but he grabbed her hand and threw her towards the door. “You’re weak, pathetic and ugly. Get out of here before you make even more of a fool of yourself Luma.” Avery said with a sigh
“* you Avery! We could have been a power couple!” Luma said sobbing out before she left out in tears
Avery looked at Reyna and cupped her face in his hands. “Calm down babe, it’s alright. She’s not going to take me from you. I ain’t going anywhere.”
Reyna calmed down hearing him speak before she placed her hands over his. “O...okay. I love you Avery.”
“I love you too babe, now sit your pretty ass down.”
“Okay.”
While the lot of them were sitting down Ella was holding her head. “Reyna, I honestly cannot take in just how much of your life is chaos.”
Nala laughed. “Girl you’ve just seen the beginning of it all!”
“Just wait until her mother and sister try to beg for forgiveness. That’ll be a hoot.” Hyun said with a grin
Reyna scoffed at Hyun’s words. “That woman? Begging for forgiveness? Yeah when pigs fly and cows jump over the moon. She is the queen of ignorance and pride. I’m glad I never got her personality.”
“From the sounds of it, you didn’t get much from your mother or your father for that matter.” Richard said as he came up to the lot of them
“Uncle Richard.” Reyna said with a smile
“It’ll be a bit longer for your food, my wife is helping our youngest two to get attuned with baking the food here.”
“How old are your children anyways uncle?” Reyna asked curiously
“My eldest is Twenty, his name is Kalin. Then it’s his younger sister Julia who is eighteen and the twins Jayden and Kayla who are sixteen-which if my memory is right. You’re the same age as them.”
Reyna nodded her head. “I-I am.”
“That’s what I thought. I do apologize for how your father and sister treated you, I don’t know what the hell is up with your father. He had his head on right when he was here before now. Now I don’t know what’s gotten into him.”
“Well he did have a face to face with the goddess Tyche not that long ago that placed him into pure crystal with Luma cause of how cruel he treated me versus how kind and spoiled he treated Luma.”
Richard blinked his eyes a few times. “The gods are still around?”
“They are.” Reyna said with a nod
“They are very much still loud and proud of themselves. Let me tell you.” Nala said shaking her head
“It was one of the gods that helped Nala and I get here from Militia where we were at the time.” Avery explained
Richard let out a soft sigh before he took a seat by them. “Listen, I once prayed to all of the gods at one point or another. But none of that helped when the angels attacked my home. A place I’ve known for centuries as a place of happiness and peace.”
Ryse could hear what was being said and got herself out of the sword which freaked out Ella and Richard. The others were used to it or knew it would happen. Ryse went up to Richard and placed a hand on his face. “Your home is still there, I can assure you that much. I have asked my beloved to restore it with the help of others. At any time you want to go back there you are more than welcome to.”
Richard furrowed his eyebrows a bit. “I want to see that for myself. It’s because of you that the angelic race is even how it is. You made a race of ignorance and pride.”
Ryse made a sideways frown. “Well the demons are no better, not to mention you were ignorant to the fact that your brother and sister even left the sanctuary you once called home. You were so involved in your own life you dismissed the two people that did the most for you to live the life you lived. So pardon me while I give you Karma *.”
Ella looked to Reyna who shook her head. “Goddess Ryse, a little warning please?”
“Oh *! I didn’t realize you had another person here. Nice to meet ya! I’m Goddess Ryse.” Ryse said with a smile
“I-I’m Ella...just what the hell?!” Ella said freaking out
“I live within the sword and I can leave it for a period of time but until Reyna shatters the sword I cannot leave a certain distance away from the sword.”
“Why doesn’t she shatter it now?” Ella asked
“I am her last defense if Hyun, Zeph, Avery and Nala fail to protect her properly. There is a single spell that I know how to do that will not only break me free of the sword but kill her as well.”
“And you think that’s a good idea to do?” Ella asked confused
“Reyna told me she was going to be given a second chance at life from Lord Bryce.” Avery stated
“If Lord Bryce has said so, then so mote it be.” Ryse said with her hands together. “I can’t complain about that. What I will complain about is how this dumbdumb has the nerve to think what he has done isn’t as bad as what his little * eating nephew has done.”
As Ryse spoke she pointed to Richard. “Papa, we have the sweets where do they go?” A young teen neko girl asked with two plates in her hands.
“Over here honey, these guys are our guests for now.” Richard said motioning to Reyna and her group
The young girl went up to them. “Okay so I has a plate of strawberry pannie cakes and french toasties who got what?”
“Ella has the pancakes and Nala has the French Toast.” Reyna said as she motioned to the girls as she spoke.
“Oh, okay thanks miss.”
“I’m the same age as you. Call me Rey alright?”
“Kay...I’m Kayla.”
“Nice to meet you Kayla, pretty necklace.”
“O..oh that...yeah um...a friend of mine gave it to me. He said it’ll help people stay away from me.”
Reyna tilted her head to the side. “Are you sure he’s just a ‘friend’ to you? That looks like a collar if I ever saw one.”
Kayla didn’t know what to say to her and just walked off unsure of what to think about what the red haired female said to her. It wasn’t long before a male who looked almost like the female was just out of the kitchen. “So I have fondue fries, Lava cake and a strawberry short cake with extra strawberries.”
Reyna took two of the plates from the male. “This is for Avery.” She said, giving him the fondue fries.
“This is for Hyun.” She said giving him the Lava cake
“Then the strawberry overdose goes to Zeph.” Reyna said as she motioned to the red haired male
“Which means the last order is yours. It’ll be out in a moment ma’am, apparently it’s taking my mom a bit to get it done.” The male stated
“It’s fine, I’m in no rush.” Reyna said with a smile
The male went back to the back as she saw that Ryse and Richard were having a rather heated discussion. “...shouldn’t have done what you had. That all on it’s own caused what has happened. You caused all of the bull * that’s now happening to happen.”
“I beg to differ on that. If you hadn’t made such a disgusting race we wouldn’t be in this mess to begin with. I wouldn’t be living how I am and my people wouldn’t be all over the place.”
“Again I say; karma. Do you have any idea how Lily or Gillen felt being in your shadow because you were so into your own damn life that you completely forgot about them?!” Ryse said *ed
Reyna went to where Ryse was and frowned. “I know what it’s like to be ignored, I know that it’s a feeling that takes a while to leave. That’s if the feeling gets resolved. If it doesn’t, it sticks as a grudge and makes the person sour and rather hard to befriend.”
Richard looked at Reyna with a sigh. “Listen kid, things aren’t always going to work out for you. You just need to suck it up, I assure you that nothing is going to come out of you holding something for so long.”
She balled her hands up tightly, her demonic wings came out as her skin quickly turned a dark reddish color as her green eyes glowed in anger as there was a dark aura around her body showing just how *ed she was. None of those who were accompanying her even realized that she had turned demonic, so none of them could stop her from doing anything stupid.
Richard stood up straight with his arms crossed. “What are you going to do child? Harm me? You don’t have it in you to do so.”
