A Sequel to Remember
  • After checking into their hotel room, Lucian took it upon himself to direct them to the closest cafe for them to unwind. Jet lag hit them both like a brick. Timezones were a cursed element that was far from kind to both Elites. Once they were able to acquire a table and dishes were ordered, Shauntal couldn't help but find herself still on Cloud Nine. Reaching over the table for his hand, they laced fingers together as she found herself getting lost in his hypnotizing gaze. They spoke briefly about the sights they wanted to see, activities they'd like to participate in, but most importantly, how happy they were. The realization that they were finally married had yet to settle in for the newlyweds. Nevertheless, they were more than happy to be in each other's company - excited to start the next chapter in their relationship. Though she was unable to write anything, Shauntal couldn't help but softly recite a poem while they ate.
  • She didn't expect him to utter anything in return, but her heart yearned for the passion she felt at that moment to be transformed into words. Such was a challenge she gave herself as a writer. Hopefully, he would at least be impressed with her poem.

She spoke, toying with a straw in hand inside her drink, a faint blush over her cheeks as she slowly looked back up at her husband. "My apologies. That was. . .random. I suppose I had a bit of a sentimental moment there. Hah..don't mind me."
