Lyra gathered her belongings and began walking towards Ajax's home, her best friend, Amy, returned from a long journey with a group from their pack. She looked around the village and saw Lyra walking towards Ajax's home with her belongings.
Curiosity got the best of Amy, and she approached Lyra.
"Lyra, what's going on?" Amy asked, noticing the worried look on her friend's face.
Lyra hesitated for a moment before responding. "Theron has claimed me as his mate," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Amy's eyes widened in shock. "What? How is that even possible?" she exclaimed.
Lyra shrugged, looking away. "I don't know. But he's dangerous, and Ajax thinks it's best if I stay with him for a while."
Amy frowned. "Ajax doesn't think you're safe in your own home?"
Lyra nodded, feeling a sense of shame. "I couldn't transform during the last full moon again," she admitted. "I'm not sure if I'm ready to face Theron on my own."
Amy put a hand on Lyra's shoulder. "You don't have to face him alone," she said firmly. "We're your pack, and we'll protect you no matter what."
Lyra felt a surge of gratitude towards her friend. Amy had always been there for her, and she knew that she could count on her no matter what.
"Thank you," she said, smiling weakly. "It means a lot."
Amy nodded, determination in her eyes. "I'll walk with you to his house, I have to talk to him anyways about the mission we came back from" Lyra nodded and they walked to Ajax's home together.
