(Completed)Never Too late Hoseok x Readers x Yoongi
  • ‘’Why can’t you believe me? I didn’t push her...’’ You said, tears pooling at the corners of your eyes. You couldn't afford to let yourself cry and seem even more suspicious, but you couldn't help it.
  • ‘’Y/n we all saw it! You pushed her,’’ Hoseok said. You were new to this side of him. You always thought of Hoseok as a carefree and gentle person and to see him so angered shook you from within.
  • "But I didn’t! She's fooling you, I'm telling you she grabbed my hand and–"
  • "Look, I don't want to believe it either but I saw you with my own eyes," Hoseok interrupted you mid sentence. You thought he would always hear you out, why was he being like this?
  • ‘’But-But’’ You were about to bargain with him, bargain for his trust in you, something you never thought you'd do.
  • "Just admit it will you, Y/N? You're making yourself look pathetic,"  Hoseok said, and the tears you'd been holding back came running down your face.
  • "Stop it you guys, you're taking this too far," Yoongi chimed in, catching both you and Hoseok's attention.
  • "It's not okay! She hurt my girlfriend!" He yelled. Hoseok had always been pretty loud and you'd always be loud with him but this time, you just wanted to cover your ears and go back in time when this never happened.
  • "Don't get so worked up, it was probably an accident" Yoongi gently said, touching Hoseok’s shoulders. Hoseok scoffed at his actions and pushed the arm off his shoulders.
  • "Oh great, why don't you celebrate your happy accident here Y/N? Tch. An 'accident' yeah right. I'm off," He said before turning to the direction of the infirmary.
  • "Ugh, Y/N don't overthink this, I'll talk to him,"
  • "You don't have to..."
  • "I think I have to. I can't afford my childhood friendship going down the drain like this. You, me, Hoseok, and the rest of the guys have been friends for a decade, and I can't imagine with one person missing. And I especially can't let today be the end of our friendship,"
  • "Yoongi-ah, you know I don't want that either but knowing Hoseok, he'll probably refuse to listen,"
  • "I guess I gotta make him listen huh?"
  • "Shut it, you know you don't sound tough at all saying that. I'm hungry let's go," You said, jokingly tapping his shoulder with your fist as you grabbed your bag and headed downstairs.
  •  "Hey, wait! Shoot, where's my CD player?" Yoongi mumbled to himself before quickly shoving his scattered belongings into his bag and following after you.
  • ↪[Infirmary]
  • ...Editor's note: Yumi is Hoseok's girlfriend, for you guys's information.
  • "You doing okay babe?" To say that Hoseok was concerned would be an understatement, afterall, his girlfriend had just fallen down the abnormally high and steep stairs of his school.
  • "Okay, just..." Yumi's eyes travelled down to the see-through plastic bag in her boyfriend's hand.
  • "What's that?" Yumi asked and Hoseok just held the bag in front of her in response. She took it, rummaging through it to find some ice cream, traingle gimbaps, an egg sandwich and  bottle of soda.
  • "I figured you'd want something sweet, something flavourful, something salty and something refreshing so I...got them all?"
  • "You're so silly Hobi-ah,"
  • Yumi chuckled and cleanly broke the egg sandwich in half, taking half for herself and an equal half for Hoseok.
  • "Here you go, my other half,"
  • The couple laughed and for a minute, the atmosphere in the room was so whimsical and light, it felt too good to be true. Which it probably was as Hoseok cleared his throat all of a sudden and held Yumi's hands delicately.
  • "Yumi-ah, I'm going to ask you something serious so... just hear me out, okay?"
  • "Why? What's up the sudden mood change?"
  • "Did Y/N really push you– I-uh... I could have been an accident right? Are you sure she intentionally pushed you?"
  • Yumi's mood visibly dampened at the question, showing her disappointment by turning her head away from him and pouting.
  • "Ah, what is this here? You saw it with your own eyes. You know I'd never lie to you,"
  • "I never said you lied, I just wanted to confirm it once again and–"
  • "Hey, do you really think it's okay to look over Y/B's behaviour just because she's your good friend? I told you she's been bothering me since the start but you never listened! Even now, you aren't listening to me and blindly trusting her. What am I to you? Hey, Hoseok-ah, do you love me or Y/N?"
  • "H-hey let's not blow this out of proportion, maybe we should talk about it another day,"
  • "Hoseok-ah, do you like Y/N?"
  • "What? no–"
  • "Then why do you give all your attention to her, huh? Why do I always get left behind? We've been dating for a year but feels like some long distance relationship! Do you know how much of a * you are for hanging out all day with other girls when you have a girlfriend? You're a real heartless * you know?"
  • Hoseok was left speechless as he saw Yumi's cheeks drenched in tears. He tried to reach out and wipe them away, only to have his hand swatted off by her.
  • "You know what? I don't wanna see your face for now, can you just leave me alone for a bit?"
  • "Yumi..."
  • "Go away, I said,"
  • He turned away from her, regretting even asking her the question. The walk to his house was a silent one. Why was life so mean to him?
  • Editor's note: Y/N lives in a shared apartment with Sumi (Y/N's sister) and Yoongi. All the other boys live next to her.
  • "Noona come here, the show's starting!"
  • "Yeah! Just one minute!"
  • You rummaged through the drawers of your kitchen, looking for the chocolate cookies. You lips quirked at the sight of the treats as you took the jar with you to living room.
  • Arriving there, you saw all of them sitting on the floor before the TV. The scene was little...chaotic to say the least. Jimin was chewing loudly on some ramen. Jungkook sitting too close to the TV screen. Namjoon and Taehyung snacking on a bowl of popcorn and Su-min waiting for the movie to start with Yoongi huddled in a corner. You tip-toed over to him and offered him some of your cookies but much to your dismay, the bane of your cookies' existence, Taehyung instantly perked at the sight and started his monologue.
  • "Woah, chocolate cookies out of the blue? Are you two dating or what? Noona, you're so sneaky!"
  • "Yeah, you guys must be soulmates. I mean, chocolate is a love language you know?"
  • Jungkook chimed in and you rolled your eyes, knowing why they were actually doing this. If it was any other day, you would simply just hand them your snacks to get their teasing over with but today, you really weren't in the mood to give up your comfort food. You held the cookie jar close and glared at the brats.
  • "Do I look like I was born yesterday? I'm not giving you any of my cookies!"
  • The two of them looked at each other in surprise, though they shouldn't have, they used the same trick on you all the time. Taehyung suddenly laid down and started kicking the air and whining like a child while Jungkook looked at you with puppy eyes.
  • "Noona! You can't be treating us like this, we're younger! You gave him cookies but not me?! You're playing favourites, I hate you!" Taehyung's childish tantrum made you want to hang him upside down, but you instead decided to release your anger by yelling at the man-child.
  • "It's because he treated me lunch you dimwit! Sit back up, you're ruining my rug,"
  • "Quiet you rowdy kids, the show's starting now,"
  • Namjoon tried to reach for the remote to raise the volume but you snatched it away before he could get the chance. There was no way you'd let him break your TV remote. Again.
  •  As you sat through the initial thirty minutes of the movie, you, in all honesty, found it to be cheesy. The plot about a gangster having a warm heart and falling in love with a naive girl felt cliche to you, but at least the male lead was handsome enough to keep your eyes glued to the screen. And now that there was a fight, with the male lead shirtless nonetheless. You found yourself leaning towards the TV more and more, and just as you leaned in a little more-
  • *Ding Dong*
  • *THUD*
  • Surprised by the doorbell and learning to hell and back, you fell face first onto the rug, with your legs crossed, ouch. Taehyung and Jungkook chuckled until you lifted your head and glared at them. You were truly a sight to be terrified of, with your hair covering most of your face and your eyes peeking through the shadows of your hair. Seeing your face, which quite accurately resembled the girl from the ring, they quickly pretended to be clearing their throats and looked in all directions except yours.
  • "Hey Namjoon, get door,"
  • Jin tapped the tall male's shoulder and cocked his head towards the door. You peeked to get a look at the guest but quickly looked away and covered your hair, hoping that the person at the door wouldn't see you here, although it was your apartment. Namjoon kept the guest busy by striking a conversation while you tried to think of a way to somehow leave the place
  • "Damn it...just when I was having fun,"
  • "Noona, why's your hair so weird today?"
  • Jungkook leaned in towards your hunched form. You put a finger on your lips and signalled him to be quiet. You quickly glanced at the door, just to see Namjoon closing it.
  • "He said he's going to complete the semester's reflection essay,"
  • Taehyung rolled his eyes at how gullible Namjoon could be at times.
  • "Reflection essay my butt, he's probably gonna hang out with his girlfriend,"
  • "Hey! What did I say about talking informally to your hyungs?"
  • Jin hit Taehyung lightly while the younger male regretfully rubbed his now aching shoulder. Despite his questionable choice of words, everyone seemed to be agreeing with him.
  • "I mean, a week a ago, he even left our tteokboki party an hour early because his girlfriend called,"
  • "Right? She's got him wrapped around her finger,"
  • "Love can change a man huh?"
  • "Argh! Will you guys shut your trap and watch the movie in peace? We've lost ten minutes already!"
  • Jimin yelled, of course no one listened to him with the exception of Namjoon. Slowly, you felt the chatter in the room turn into white noise as you found yourself unable to focus on anything. Anything but him.
  • You turned your head towards the TV screen and even though your eyes were fixated on the the movie before you, your mind seemed to be elsewhere. Somehow, you regretted not taking a glance at him when he was at the door, however, you knew better than to have yourself tangled up in another awkward moment. Your mind seemed to rebel today, no matter how much you wanted it to stop, you just couldn't stop thinking about Hoseok. How you missed going skateboarding with him, how you missed it when he'd gleefully help you with homework, hell, even though you previously hated him playing pranks on you, you found it that you missed it. You missed that bright smile that was aimed at you, and one else. But she ruined all you knew of the Hoseok you were familiar with.
  • "Noona!"
  • You jolted when you heard Jungkook call out your name. With wide, and slightly annoyed eyes, you turned your head back and got ready to scold him once more but he cut you off.
  • "Are you a pervert or what? You're staring at the kiss scene so... intensely,"
  • Jungkook crossed his arms over his chest, resting his palms on his shoulders as if he was shielding himself from the likes of you. You looked back at the screen and immediately turned away. You immediately stood up and pointed a finger at the youngest in the room.
  • "HEY! IT'S NOT LIKE THAT OKAY?! I ZONED OUT!"
  • "JIN-HYUNG, GET THIS PERVY NOONA AWAY FROM ME!"
  • As your banter continued, Jimin sighed in a corner, knowing not to invite you and Jungkook to a movie night ever again.
